Phillip REIBMAN
Born in Tacoma, Washington November 16, 1918. Living in Seattle since 1927. Attended the Old Washington Irving grade school, James Monroe Junior High and Ballard High School. Was a 50-year life member of Ionic 90 Masonic Order, which later affiliated with St. Johns #9. Was also a life member of Scottish Rite and Nile Temple of the Shrine. Was charter President of and established the first Seattle chapter of the National Exchange Club, an organization devot ed to school children and the impaired. Also a member of B'nai B'rith, Temple De Hirsch Sinai and he had just become an honorary member of the Seattle Executives. Served on the board of the Downtown Development Association. Re tired from management of Ben Bridge Jewelers Flagship store in 1980 to establish his own Jewel ry Company, which bears his name. Survivors include Tiny, his wife of 60 years, his daughter Sharon of Thousand Oaks, CA. preceded in death by his oldest brother, Morris, his surviving brothers Irving, and David and their respective wives. Burial, Thursday, November 9th at 1 p.m. at the Bikur Cholim Machzikay Hadath cemetery, 1340 N. 115th, Seattle, WA. 98133. (Obit dated 11/08/2000.)

Born September 18, 1911 in Bristol, SD., died November 3, 2000 in Renton at age 89.
There will be no services at her request.

Charlotte Roe REIMER
Charlotte Roe REIMER age 74, of Edina, Minnesota, formerly of Seattle, WA., went home to be with her Lord on November 8, 2000 after a courageous battle with cancer. preceded in death by her husband Edward. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her children: Dr. Jon (Joyce) Reimer, GA., Phil (Naomi) Reimer, WA., Elizabeth (Doug) Rector, WA., David Reimer, GA., Ruth (Earl) Rose, MN., Carol (Mike) Maki, WA.; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Celebration Service DECEMBER 2, 2000 at Grace Church of Richfield, 7101 Nicollet Ave., Richfield, MN. at 11 a.m. Memorials preferred to Fairview Hospice Program, 2450 - 26th Ave S., Minneapolis, MN. 55406.

Michael RHEUBOTTOM
passed away on 11-1-2000 at Virginia Mason Hospital at the age of 40.
Viewing will be Monday, 11-6-2000 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Southwest Mortuary, Inc., 9021 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle, WA. 98118.

Patricia RICHARD
Age 77. passed away November 1, 2000.
She was born February 8, 1923, and was a lifelong resident of Seattle.
She is survived by her brother Charles Clay Harrison, son Andrew Richard, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 6701 - 30th Ave. S.W. (Obit dated 11/05/2000.)

Bruce M. RUE
November 27, 1948 - October 31, 2000
Born in, Neptune, N.J. He was an incredible father and grandfather. A veteran of the Vietnam War. Behind his long hair and bushy beard he was a wonderful mentor, friend and acquaintance. He will never be forgotten for his humor, his love for the Northwest and the love he briefly shared with is granddaughter. Bruce was also an advocate for gun rights but suffered deeply from depression and PTSD. He chose to start a new life else where. He has no idea how much he was loved and will be missed forever. In Bruce's honor his daughter and her family will be holding a Service on Saturday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Bible Church, 14024 8th St. E., Sumner, WA. He will be buried at Mt. Michael J. RUHL
Surrounded by loving family and friends, died on October 28 at the untimely age of 46 of a suddenly discovered brain tumor. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School, Seattle, in 1972, and from U.W. in 1976. He left active service in the U.S.Army at the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and worked for the past 19 years at the Ballard firm of Hatch & Kirk, Inc. He is survived by his mother, Katherine Mae Ruhl, his wife, Kathy Takahashi, and their daughters Emma (10) and Lauren (12). A broad network of friends and family will miss him keenly. We remember Mike for his remarkably even temperament, genial disposition, good-natured humor and dependable kindness, but particularly for the cheerful dedication he brought to his role of loving husband and devoted father. A Memorial Service is not planned at this time. Contributions to his daughters' education trust fund will be accepted beginning November 10 at NW Federal Credit Union, 440-9000; call John or Lori at 527-5430 for further information. John J. RYAN
Age 77, born August 26, 1923 passed away October 10, 2000.
He was a native of Seattle, attended O'Dea High School, served in the Navy during W.W.II as a signalman.
He worked for the phone company for 35 years.
Memorial Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 7000 - 35th S.W., November 11 at 12 Noon. (Obit dated 11/07/2000.)

Helen "Bett" Elizabeth SAMUELSEN
Age 82 of Seattle, passed away suddenly while traveling in England, on October 30, 2000. She was born in Seattle on June 5, 1918. Bett graduated from Queen Anne High School and soon after married Adolph Martin Samuelsen, Jr. Bett and Adolph were married for 62 years. Bett's interests were many and her passion for them intense. Her first interest and love was music. At the age of 16 she had her own radio program playing piano and singing on KVI in affiliation with First Presbyterian Church. Bett was a member of Magnolia Presbyterian Church and at one time directed the Children's choir and sang on a regular basis. Bett's talent and zest for the spotlight led her to the Seattle Opera Company where she performed with the chorus for 23 years starting in 1962. Bett spoke often of the many friends she made and her great respect for Glynn Ross, director of Seattle Opera for most of her time there. Bett's second love was traveling. 108 countries all tolled during her life, including one trip with her husband Adolph "Around the World in 80 Days", literally. She also shared many adventures in different parts of the world with her children and grandchildren. Bett was especially proud of traveling to the USSR nine times. After traveling the world she held the opinion that the USA is the greatest country on earth. She felt it paramount that we as citizens, value the privileges and opportunities that the veterans of our wars died to provide, and take the process of democracy seriously. Bett loved the outdoors and spent much of her time hiking and camping with family and friends. She was an avid gardener who was very meticulous. Bett fulfilled her lifelong passions and worked to help others fulfill theirs. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends here and around the world. Bett is survived by two loving daughters. Ann Lewis of Enumclaw and Jane Keller of Auburn, and brother Bob Hansen of Seattle. Nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Adolph in 1999 and her son Dale Samuelsen in 1982. Memorial Services will be held on November 25th at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Presbyterian Church with a chance to gather at the family home following. Lloyd E. SANBORN
LLOYD'S BOATHOUSE
Born July 27, 1905 in Lawton, North Dakota and died in Seattle on November 4, 2000 at 95 years of age. Owner of Lloyd's Boathouse from 1938 until his retirement in 1965. He will be remembered for his active involvement in the local sports fishing industry. See Thursday, November 9th article in the Seattle Times. Married to Meta W. Sanborn for 62 years and survived by son, Gerald L. Sanborn and daughter Yvonne E. and Will Lassiter; granddaughters LaVonne and husband Brian Copps and Cherise and husband Davor Mihelcic; and great granddaughters Michelle and Yvonne Mihelcic, and sister Bernice Smith; and other relatives and friends. At his request, their will be no fu neral services. Lloyd was an extraordinary person who gave generously of his time and energy to everyone and he will be greatly missed by all he came in contact with. Herbert Paul SATHER
passed away Saturday, October 28.
Born August 14, 1928 in Seattle.
He fished in Alaska and was an auctioneer in the 60s.
He is survived by his mother; 2 children: Darla Avery & Kevin Sather; 5 grandchildren; & 1 great-grandchild.

Richard SAVAGE
Age 45, of Stratford, CT., died on Monday, Octo ber 30, 2000 in his home. Born in Glen Cove, N.Y. son of the late Robert H. and Jean L. Evans Savage, he was a resident of Stratford or many years. Mr. Savage was a surgeon's assistant for hospitals in Seattle, WA. Survivors include two sons, Michael Evan Savage and Samuel Eli Verasforzza both of Seattle, WA.; seven brothers and two sisters, Robert Savage of Bellingham, WA., William Savage of Fairfax Station, VA., John Savage of Northwood, N.H., Peter Savage of Sherborn, MA., Michael Savage of Kaoro Wellington, New Zealand, Carol Rose of Cha plin, CT., David Savage of Newtown, PA., Holly Savage of Litchfield, CT. and Lawrence Savage of Canton, GA. and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. in Oronoque Village Community Center, North, in Stratford, CT.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Addzi ma Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.

Robert Steven SCHWALD
Age 43, passed away suddenly November 2, 2000. Born in Seattle on December 28, 1956. Bob loved life, family and friends. Bobby joined his brothers Steven, Rolan, Rex and sister Jeanne who passed on before him. He leaves his parents, Mickey Schwald of Mountlake Terrace, Bob Schwald of Bothell; sisters, Joan, Dianne, Janet, Paula; brother, Roderick; and Suzanne Schwald. Rest in peace and in our hearts forever. Visitation 9 to 10 a.m. November 8th and Services following at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds (Obit dated 11/08/2000.)

William Withee SIMON
Born November 3, 1919 in Seattle, WA. passed away on November 6, 2000 in Seattle, WA. He retired from the Post Office after 30 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife Esther Simon; daughter Diane Engelke (Dan), Son Gary Beard (Estee); Grandson Dan Engelke (Tracey), Granddaughter Jennifer Engelke (DJ Septon); Great granddaughters Molly and Erica; Nephews Ted Simon and Paul Domres, Jr.; Nieces Mary Lou Domres and Alice Hackney; Sister in Law Helen Domres and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2000 at 9 a.m., St. Catherine's Parish, 8500 - 8th Ave. N.E., Seattle. Interment icon Lakeview cemetery. Leo C. SMITH
Born April 6, 1912, in Mount Vernon, WA., first child of Roy Edward and Lula Mae Smith, died at home November 4, 2000. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II as an airplane engine mechanic. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce, and children Karen Barker (John Rupp), Gold Bar; Terri Smith (George Richert), Bainbridge Island; Michael D. (Vicki), Roswell, NM.; and James W. (Gay), Stanwood; one brother and two sisters; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Roy Edward in 1998. Leo worked as a mechanic at Duvall Motors for many years and retired from Carnation Research Farms in 1982. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, November 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Monroe Congregational Church Fellowship Hall, 301 S. Lewis St., Monroe, WA.
