Robert 'Schmitty' SCHMID
9/4/14 - 9/27/01

A man of many talents and legacies has been called to a higher power at the age of 86. Schmitty spent his life working hard and playing hard. He was a success at all of his endeavors. He volunteered in W.W. II as a glider pilot. He was the founder and last survivor of the Skiquatic Follies which originated in the '30s. He owned a gym and built his own equipment during the late '30s through 1974; during this time he had earned may weight lifting championships. One of his favorite talents over the years has been challenging anyone to 'one arm push ups' for a $1. He always won!!!! While following his dream 'body building' he also worked as a street car conductor. After he sold his gym he invested his money in real estate and has done well. He will always be loved, remembered and deeply missed. When we hear 'enough said' we will think of Schmitty! Schmitty is survived by his wife; two daughters; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother; and one nephew. Per request, there will be no services.
