Mohamed Amber
Mohamed Amr Amber, 26, of Seattle died Nov. 9, 1999, from a brain tumor in Sacramento, Calif.
He was born June 17, 1973, in Giza, Egypt, to Amro Fadel Mohamed and Karima Aly Abd (Allah) Amber. He was raised and educated in Egypt and graduated from college there. He lived in England before moving to the United States two years ago.
He married Monica J. Tucker, formerly of Bremerton, on Jan. 1, 1999, in Seattle.
Mr. Amber was employed as a personal fitness trainer at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife; his parents; two brothers, Waleed and Fadel, both of Egypt; a sister, Tesrah, and a half sister, Noor, both of Egypt; in-laws Sharon and Bob Tucker, Rex and Vanessa Tucker and Eric Tucker, all of Bremerton; and a nephew, Maxwell Tucker.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Burial took place in Mallawy, Egypt.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Research Division, P.O. Box 2383, Bremerton, WA 98310.

Stella Hilbert
Stella Hilbert, 89, of Bremerton died Nov. 21, 1999, in Bremerton.
She was born Nov. 8, 1910, in Warwick, N.D., to William and Anna "Chrissie" (Haag) Meyer. She grew up in Warwick, graduating from Warwick High School and attending two years of college in Mayville, N.D.
She married John Hilbert on Nov. 25, 1933, in Hillsboro, N.D. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Mrs. Hilbert attended Peninsula Bible Fellowship in Bremerton.
Survivors include one son, Gary of Port Ludlow; one daughter, Eileen Moffett of Silverdale; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother, William Meyer.
Private interment will take place at Roseburg Memorial Gardens in Roseburg, Ore. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Joanna Feigley
Joanna Maude Feigley, 73, of Bremerton died Nov. 20, 1999, at Bremerton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Bremerton to Oliver and Maude (Pond) Aucklund. She grew up in Bremerton and in Port Orchard, graduating from South Kitsap High School.
She married John Feigley on Aug. 15, 1963, in Port Orchard. Mrs. Feigley was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, John Lont of Lake Cushman and Paul Lont of Quilcene; two daughters, Gina Coleman of Burley and Phyllis Hatfield of Crescent City, Calif.; one half-brother, Allan Aucklund of Tacoma; three half-sisters, Phylis Ferris of St. Louis, Mo., Clara Youmans of Mayok, N.C., and Joanna Erickson of Juneau, Alaska; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Cremation was by Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.

Rex Robertson Jr.
Former Bremerton resident Arty "Rex" Robertson Jr., 79, of Bellingham died Nov. 18, 1999, at St. Francis Care Center in Bellingham after an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Fall City, Neb., to Arty "Rex" and Josephine (Surface) Robertson. He grew up in Bremerton, graduating from Bremerton High School in 1939.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He saw duty in Iwo Jima and later in Japan during the occupation.
Mr. Robertson worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1939 to 1940. He was retired from a career as an iron and steel worker in the construction industry.
He was a Mason and a member of the Iron Workers Union.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn of Tukwila and Michael of California; one daughter, Sandra Haugen of Bremerton; one sister, Dorothy Larson of Ridgefield; three grandchildren, Adam and David Haugen of Bremerton and Glenn "Ty" Rebertson Jr. of Wenatchee; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by four wives.
At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home in Bellingham.

Richard Deegan Jr.
Richard James Deegan Jr., 42, of Belfair died Nov. 18, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Dec. 7, 1956, in Elgin, Ill. He was raised and educated in Illinois, Arizona and Washington, graduating from Maryvale High School in Phoenix in 1975.
Mr. Deegan served in the Navy.
He was a certified technician in ASE and electronics. He had worked as a water treatment operator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for the past six years.
Mr. Deegan was a member of American Legion Post 149.
Survivors include his father, Richard Deegan Sr. of Chehalis; one son, Jacob of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, JoAnn Proper of Vancouver, Wash., and Wendy Haag of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and three brothers, Randal, Brian and Daniel, all of Vancouver, Wash.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday also at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will take place at Salkum cemetery and his ashes will be scattered at sea by the Navy.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 4414 Woodland Park Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98103-7499.

Margaret Sarama
Former Bremerton resident Margaret Evelyn Sarama, 78, of Apache Junction, Ariz., died of a stroke Nov. 19, 1999, at Valley Lutheran Hospital in Phoenix.
She was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Howard, S.D., to Sarah and Leo Pinsch. She grew up on farms in South Dakota and Minnesota, moving with her family to Bremerton in 1941.
She enlisted in the Army Women's Auxiliary Corps in 1942, serving during World War II in Algeria until 1945.
She married Walter P. Sarama in Newark, N.J. The couple lived in Seattle until their retirement, making their home in Bremerton in 1978, and spending winters in Apache Junction.
Mrs. Sarama was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Bremerton.
Survivors include her husband; one son, James; four sisters, Irene Myres of Pequot Lakes, Minn., Rita Martin of Mission, Texas, Mary Bertrand and Kathleen Pinsch, both of Bremerton; and one brother, Richard Pinsch of South Gate, Calif. She was preceded in death by one sister, Alyce Tate, and one brother, Harold Pinsch.
Funeral services were held in Apache Junction. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Dale Uhrich
Dale Troy Daniel Uhrich, 32, of Port Orchard died Nov. 19, 1999, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He was born Aug. 18, 1967, in Norwalk, Calif., to Dan Paul and Mae Francis (Smith) Uhrich. He grew up in Benicia, Calif., graduating from New Life Christian Academy there in 1985.
Mr. Uhrich had worked as a checker at Costco in Silverdale for the past nine years.
Survivors include his parents, of Port Orchard; one brother, William Robertson of Advance, N.C.; two sisters, Janice Thorne of Clemmons, N.C., and Katherine Faircloth of Port Orchard; his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Glaydes Uhrich of Temecula, Calif., and his maternal grandfather, W.H. Inman of St. Paul's, N.C.
A funeral service is planned for noon Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Inurnment will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Thomas Brumbaugh
Thomas G. Brumbaugh, 58, of Port Orchard died Nov. 20, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Altoona, Pa., to James C. and Velma A. (Keith) Brumbaugh. He grew up in Monrovia, Calif.
Mr. Brumbaugh served in the Army from 1958 to 1960, and in the Navy from 1963 to 1967. He served in Vietnam aboard USS Midway and USS Ranger.
He and his wife, Toni, were married Nov. 25, 1967, in West Seattle.
He worked as a marine machinist in Shop 38 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1967 until his retirement in 1995.
Mr. Brumbaugh participated in citizens band radio and was a member of the Peninsula Pacers Radio Club. He also was a member of the Kitsap Saddle Club.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Michael of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; two daughters, Robin Martin of Cleveland, Ga., and Amy of Port Orchard; one brother, Glen of Nampa, Idaho; and three grandchildren, Heidi and Chloe' of Oshawa and David Martin of Cleveland, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, also at Rill Chapel, with a reception following. Interment icon will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Kitsap Unit, P.O. Box 2383, Bremerton, WA 98310.

Stanford Mitchell
Stanford Philip Mitchell, 51, of Suquamish died Nov. 18, 1999, at Eastside Group Health Hospital in Redmond.
He was born June 14, 1948, in Willows, Calif. Mr. Mitchell's parents were John and Portia Mitchell and Stanford Patton.
He was raised and educated in Willows, graduating form high school in 1967.
He joined the Navy on Nov. 4, 1968, and served for two years. He was stationed on USS Midway.
Mr. Mitchell had lived in Kitsap County for 20 years, and was employed as an ordnance equipment mechanic at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport.
He is survived by his mother, Portia Mitchell, of Suquamish; his father, Stanford Patton of Orland, Calif.; two sons, Stanford Mitchell Jr. of Sacramento, Calif., and Philip Mitchell of Omaha; a daughter, Angila Golik of Billings, Mont.; two brothers, Victor Mitchell of Chico, Calif., and Michael Mitchell of Spokane; a sister, Gayl Alexander of Port Orchard; a step-sister, Karen Simms of Missoula, Mont.; a special uncle, Michael Brummet; four grandchildren, Cheyene, Dakota, Mason and Baby Golik; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sue; a brother, Lee; and his father, John Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove, Poulsbo. Cremation will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

William Biklen
William Harold Christian Biklen, 89, of Bremerton died Nov. 19, 1999, at Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale.
He was born April 29, 1910, in Burlington, Iowa, to William and Clara (Hauber) Biklen. He grew up in Iowa and graduated from Burlington High School.
Mr. Biklen graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in accounting. He attended graduate school at Northwestern University.
He married Ellamae Bomke on Nov. 9, 1935, at Mount Olive Church in Chicago. They lived in Spokane for most of their lives, where Mr. Biklen worked as the assistant to the secretary/treasurer of Cowles Publishing Co. He began work for the company in 1944 and retired in 1972.
He was a member of the University Club, the Spokane Club and the Plymouth Congregational Church. He enjoyed classical music and the opera.
Mr. Biklen is survived by his wife; two daughters, Barbara Klaudt of Colfax and Anita Williams of Bremerton; a sister, Mary Louise Reipe of Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Diane and Paul Klaudt, Jennifer Hopkins and Gregory Moore; and one great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Cremation will be at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
