Audrey Graham
Audrey Madeleine Graham, 83, of Bremerton died March 8, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
She was born Sept. 8, 1916, in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada, to George and Ethel (Parker) Way. She was raised and educated in Montesano, graduating from Montesano High School in 1934.
She married Jay Graham on Nov. 6, 1938, in Ellensburg. They had celebrated 61 years of marriage.
She and her husband had lived in Grand Coulee during the construction of the dam there. Later, they moved to Bremerton and Grandview, returning to Bremerton in 1966.
Mrs. Graham worked for the Department of Social and Health Services in Bremerton until her retirement in 1977.
She was an active member of the Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Bonnie McDade of Bremerton and Madeleine O'Donnell of LaConner; a sister, Wini Elliott of Phoenix; and four grandchildren, Garth McDade of Bremerton, Alexander Free of Mount Vernon, Helen Free of Seattle and Jane Graham-Free of Missoula, Mont. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Graham McDade Jr. and three brothers, Gerald, Morris and Dean.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with cremation at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.
Memorial donations may be made to Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society, P.O. Box 3342, Silverdale, WA 98383.

Albert Anderson Jr.
Albert Anderson Jr., 88, of Bremerton died March 9, 2000, at Bremerton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born June 25, 1911, in Bellevue, to Albert and Ellen (Nelson) Anderson. He grew up in Seattle, attending high school there.
Mr. Anderson worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Sheet Metal Shop 17 and Shop 07 for 26 years, retiring in 1965.
He joined the Sailors Union in Alaska in 1934, sailing on the American Mailline Orient runs and later with the Alaska Steamship Lines. He also worked with his father in the family roofing business locally and in Seattle.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees 888, Port Orchard Senior Citizens, and the Firs Senior Citizens of Bremerton.
He married Dorothy Benskin on Nov. 13, 1982, at Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.
Survivors include his wife; one adopted son, John of Grays Harbor; a daughter, Irene Baxter of Arizona; two stepsons, Jack Smith of Olalla and Albert Smith of Central Valley; and two stepdaughters, Mary Burch of Bremerton and Jonita Tederman of Seattle. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte (Swanson) Anderson in 1982.
Visitation is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. March 18 at Silverdale Lutheran Church. Entombment will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Silverdale Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, 11701 Ridgepoint Drive NW, Silverdale, WA 98383.

LaFrance Reasons
LaFrance Oma Reasons, 81, of Bremerton died March 5, 2000, at Bremerton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Nov. 17, 1918, in Patmos, Ark., to William and Edna (Keith) Simmons. She was raised and educated in Arkansas, later attending college in Missouri.
She married Ervin Reasons on Sept. 29, 1939, in Reno, Nev. He preceded her in death in 1998, after 59 years of marriage.
The Reasons family moved to Bremerton in 1945. Mrs. Reasons worked at the Naval Undersea Warfare Engineering Station in Keyport from 1955 until retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the Ladies of Elks and the Travel Club. She also had worked with Girl Scouts for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Joe of Port Orchard and Charles of Ellensburg; one daughter, Barbara Reasons-Schick of Poulsbo; one sister, Josephine Welch of Shreveport, La.; one brother, Travis Simmons of Shreveport; seven grandchildren, Janet, Jodi, Tad, Trent and Alex Reasons, Elaine Schick Madamba and Sally Schick; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with an inurnment service at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, P.O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383-3416.

Geo Marlin
George E. "Geo" Marlin, 46, of Matlock died March 3, 2000, in Matlock.
He was born Sept. 11, 1953, in Bremerton.
Mr. Marlin served in the Army. He later was a logger with Castle and Coleman Logging near Shelton.
Survivors include his fianceé, Donna Homan of Matlock; his mother and stepfather, Edna and Bruce Jordan of Bremerton; one son, Chad; three stepsons, Walter Austin of Shelton, Raymond Austin of Matlock and Dan Karvela-Smith of Longview; one stepdaughter, Rebecca Anderson of Shelton; one brother, Warren of Tacoma; and one half-sister, Lalani Jacobson of Kent.
A gathering of family and friends and a potluck are planned for 1:30 p.m. March 25 at Truman Glick Park in Matlock. Arrangements are under the direction of McComb Funeral Home in Shelton.

Dan Radovich
Dan Radovich, 70, of Silverdale died March 8, 2000, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center.
He was born March 14, 1929, in Silverdale to D.M. and Helen (Harrington) Radovich. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1948.
Mr. Radovich served in the Army from 1946 to 1948. He received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal for Japan.
He later was an inspector at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center at Keyport for 37 years, retiring in 1984.
Mr. Radovich was a volunteer fireman in Silverdale for 10 years and as a volunteer at the food bank in Silverdale for several years. He was a 35-year member of the Masons and the Elks. He was a member of Tracyton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Alena Brinker of Bremerton and Virginia Bowen of Kent. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Mike, and by four sisters, Leona Wing, Persida Carnahan, Melina Pearson and Zorka Bowmen.
A luncheon for family and friends in celebration of Mr. Radovich's life will be held at
1 p.m. April 9 at Tracyton United Methodist Church. Inurnment will take place at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.

Betty Charawell
Former longtime Bremerton resident Elizabeth M. "Betty" Charawell, 99, died Feb. 24, 2000, at Lake Vue Gardens Convalescent Center in Kirkland.
She was born in Olympia on March 10, 1900.
Mrs. Charawell and her husband, Aubrey, settled in Bremerton near Silverdale in 1928. The couple owned Silverdale Holly Growers, shipping Christmas holly to buyers throughout the world. They moved to California in 1963.
She was a past member of PEO chapter AH of Bremerton, as well as the Kitsap Golf and Country Club.
Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Roy of Everett; a sister, Grace Musser of Oakland, Calif.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Robert Larsen
Robert E. Larsen, 78, of Bremerton died March 5, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Racine, Wis., to Christopher and Esther (Nelson) Larsen, and spent his childhood in Racine.
On Feb. 18, 1948, he married Arlene Kippo in Bremerton. She preceded him in death in 1998.
He worked for 25 years at the Red Apple Market in West Bremerton, retiring in 1972.
Survivors include a son, Steve of Bremerton; a brother, Tim of Racine; and two sisters, Merloe Sulak of Illinois and Joan Stickland of Racine.
At his request, there will be no services. Burial will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Norma Drotning
Norma Dean Drotning, 76, of Silverdale died March 6, 2000, at Claremont East in Bremerton.
She was born May 18, 1923, to Rollie and Laura (Randall) Johnson in Nelson, British Columbia. She was raised in Seattle, graduating in 1941 from Ballard High School. She also attended Metropolitan Business College.
She married Andrew Klaeboe Drotning on
March 24, 1947, in Seattle. While living in Seattle, Mrs. Drotning served as a volunteer for Northwest Hospital, where she ran the gift shop. The couple moved to Bangor in 1969.
Survivors include her husband; a son, James of Bremerton; a daughter, Laura of Bremerton; a brother, Randall Johnson of Seattle; and two sisters, Lou Donnell and Nan Isakson, both of Seattle.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel on the Hill. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Lois Cade
Lois Maurine Cade, 87, of Belfair died March 7, 2000, at Ridgemont Terrace Nursing Home in Port Orchard.
She was born June 26, 1912, in New Richmond, Wis., to Homer and Martha (Spence) Payne.
She was raised and educated in Coburg, Ore., and graduated from high school in 1928.
She moved to Kitsap County in 1946, and worked at Lynn's Cafe in Poulsbo and then in the cafeteria at Keyport. She later worked in the planning department at the Bangor Technical Library, retiring in 1984.
She is survived by a son, Donald Hood of Tahuya; a daughter, Julie Kessler of Belfair; a sister, Leta Mallatt of Washougal; a brother, Homer Payne of Springfield, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Pio Quitevis
Pio Berzabal Quitevis Sr., 81, of Bremerton died March 5, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born July 11, 1918, in Iocos Sur, Philippines, to Frederico and Francesca (Berzabal) Quitevis.
He attended school in the Philippines until World War II.
Mr. Quitevis served as a medic with guerrilla warfare forces for U.S. Army Forces Far East. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
He and his wife, Encarnacion, were married Aug. 14, 1938, in the Philippines. She preceded him in death in 1981.
Mr. Quitevis worked as a food service worker at motels.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 6599 and the Filipino American Association.
He is survived by five children; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday. A funeral service will be at 9 a.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Evergreen Washelli cemetery in Seattle.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Christine Vargo
Christine Vargo, 88, a longtime resident of Gorst, died March 7, 2000, in Tacoma.
She was born Jan. 20, 1912, in Montenegro, Yugoslavia, to Obren and Pava (Polich) Aleksich. She was raised and educated in Montana.
She married Steve Vargo in April 1934 in Montana. He preceded her in death after 53 years of marriage.
Mrs. Vargo was a homemaker.
She was instrumental in starting the Gorst Baptist Community Church. She also was active in the PTA, the Girl Scouts, Pleasant Valley Community Club, Gorst Volunteer Fire Department, Order of the Eastern Star and Rainbow for Girls.
She is survived by a son, Jock of Antioch, Calif.; two daughters, Sallie Zimmer and Bonnie Miller, both of Tacoma; two sisters, Helena Shelley of Tacoma and Minnie Isler of Great Falls, Mont.; three brothers, Lou Aleksich of Billings, Mont., Al Aleksich of Port Orchard and Robert Aleksich of Tacoma; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lewis Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Gorst Community Baptist Church, 4239 W. Pleasant, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
