Patsy Patterson
Patsy Elaine Patterson, 59, of Bremerton died Feb. 8, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle of brain cancer.
She was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Bremerton, to Claude and Hilda Patterson. She grew up in Bremerton, graduating from Central Kitsap High School in 1959.
She was active as a member of the Crosby Community Club and a volunteer with the Lake Tahuyeh Fire Department.
Survivors include her mother; one son, Mike Bollerslev of Everett; one daughter, Veronica Bollerslev of Bremerton; two sisters, Denise Foiles of Bremerton and Kathy Patterson of Tacoma; three grandchildren, RaShawn Patterson of Bremerton, David Bollerslev of Idaho and Rachel of Montana. She was preceded in death by her father this year.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Feb. 26 at Bremerton Church of the Nazarene.
Memorial donations may be made to The Patsy Patterson Memorial Fund at Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union on Burwell Street in Bremerton.

Tyler Joshua Apperson
Tyler Joshua Apperson, the 2-day-old son of Joshua Apperson and Christine Purdy of Bremerton, died Feb. 9, 2000, at Children's Hospital in Seattle.
He was born Feb. 6, 2000, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle.
He is survived by his parents; his maternal grandmother and her companion, Kathryn Purdy and Chris Cole of Poulsbo; his maternal grandfather, Frank Purdy of Kingston; his maternal great-grandparents, Don and Ruthy Engle of Omak, Wash., and Bill and Doris Mills of Kingston; his paternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Barb Chafin-Tissier and Bob Tissier of Silverdale; and his paternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Allen and Kim Apperson of Kansas City, Mo.
A funeral service is planned for 3 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with interment following at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Arthur Snyder
Arthur L. Snyder, 86, of Port Orchard died Feb. 11, 2000, at Belmont Terrace in Bremerton.
He was born Sept. 28, 1913, in Rapid City, S.D., to Ernest and Maurina (Nelsen) Snyder. He grew up in northwestern Montana.
He married Margaret Burlew on July 8, 1990, in Manchester.
Mr. Snyder worked as an electrician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Previously, he farmed in Montana and worked on several major projects around the world for the electricians' union.
He was a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge 98 in Port Orchard, the Scottish Rite, the Shriners and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James of Green Valley, Ariz., and Bruce of Olympia; one daughter, Sandra Rooks of Port Ludlow; one stepson, W. Jay Burlew of Tracyton; four stepdaughters, Mary Grayson, Nikki Lindsey and Sally Salgado, all of Port Orchard, and Nita Lesh of Bremerton; one sister, Sylvia Herman of Spokane; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 1977 by his first wife, Dana, whom he married in 1935; and, in 1986, by his second wife, Dorothy, whom he married in 1979.
A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel, with a reception following. Interment icon will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97201.

Norman Johnson
Norman L. Johnson, 79, of Olalla died Feb. 9, 2000, in Olalla. He had been a resident of Poulsbo for 51 years.
He was born Feb. 24, 1920, in Ballard, to Nels Johnson and Laura (Larsen) Johnson Snare. He grew up in Bremerton.
Mr. Johnson served in the Army. He worked as a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in the 1960s.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 260 in Poulsbo.
Survivors include two sons, Michael of Seattle and Bradley of Poulsbo; four grandchildren, Brenda Boar of Spokane, Toni Thornbill and Patti Johnson, both of Renton, and Brandon Johnson of Poulsbo; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Dunlap, and by a stepsister, Corrine Ellingsen, both of Seattle.
At his request, no services are planned. Inurnment will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 1571, P.O. Box 2532, Poulsbo, WA 98370.

Norma Stapp
Norma B. Stapp, 82, of Bremerton died Feb. 8, 2000, at her residence, Lake House Adult Family Home.
Mrs. Stapp had been a Bremerton resident since 1993.
She was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Great Falls, Mont., to Hans and Bessie (Smart) Knudson. She grew up in Montana, California and Arlington, Wash., graduating from Arlington High School in 1936.
She married Stan Green in 1940, and they lived in Aberdeen. He preceded her in death in 1952.
She married Chester Stapp in 1964. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Stapp was a registered nurse. She began her career in Aberdeen in the 1940s, then traveled and worked throughout the eastern United States with her husband, Chester.
More recently, Mrs. Stapp managed a medical clinic in Beverly Hills, Calif., retiring to Washington state in 1984.
She is survived by a sister, Delores Strickland of Auburn. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Green, and by a sister, Bernice.
A memorial service is planned for 7 p.m. Wednes-day at Lake House Adult Family Home. Inurnment will take place in Martinez, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, mem-orial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, 15825 Shady Grove Road, Rockville, MD 20850 or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Linda Flannery
Linda Raye Flannery, 57, of Bremerton died Feb. 3, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 30, 1942, in Ware, Mass., to Verne E. and Ruth Mary (Begor) Guertin. She grew up in Hollywood, Calif.
She married Ron Flannery on March 10, 1986, in Reno, Nev.
She worked at the Wonder Hostess Depot in Bremerton for 15 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Retail Clerks Union in Bremerton.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Richard Stratton of Bremerton; one daughter, Jacqueline Stratton of Seattle; one stepdaughter, Julie Lowe of Seattle; one brother, Verne Guertin of Las Vegas; one sister, Nancy Smith of Charlotte, N.C.; one granddaughter, Teagan Stratton of Bremerton; and one step-granddaughter, Rachel Lowe of Seattle.
Private services are planned. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kitsap Unit, P.O. Box 2383, Bremerton, WA 98310.

Helen Juneau
Helen Margaret Juneau, 87, died Feb. 7, 2000, at Bremerton Convalescent Center of natural causes.
She was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Bremerton to William and Eva Sayles. She grew up in Bremerton, graduating from Union High School in 1929, and from Seattle Business College.
She was married to William S. Juneau on Nov. 20, 1935, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She worked in the Industrial Relations Department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and for the Bremerton School District.
She was active in Girl Scouts as troop leader with Bremerton Troop No. 1. She was a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Reliance Chapter 70, Order of the Eastern Star, a past president of the Eastern Star Social Club and a past president of the Estrellita Club, O.E.S. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bremerton for 60 years, serving for many years on the Altar Guild.
She is survived by a son, William of Seabeck and a grandson, Justin Juneau of the Marine Corps.
A private family service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Scout Tribute Fund, Chief Seattle Council, BSA, P. O. Box 440408, Seattle, WA 98114-9758.

Gene White
Eugene Elmer "Gene" White, 72, of Bremerton died Feb. 6, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Lewiston, Idaho, to Floyd and Susie (Clapper) White. He moved to Bremerton with his family in 1941, attending school in the Bremerton area.
He married Ruby L. Wilsdon on Nov. 1, 1952, in New Westminster, B.C.
Mr. White worked in the sheet metal shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1985 after 35 years.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Susan Place of Bremerton; two sons, Gary of Salem, Ore., and Steven of Keizer, Ore.; two sisters, Maxine Collins of Carlsbad, Calif., and Virginia Hartzel of Ridgecrest, Calif.; one brother, Marvin of La Grange, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Chris Davis, Kawika, Kapua, Kanoe, Konohiki and Kahaikala Place, all of Washington, and Blake White, Jenny Mickey, and Tammy and Shannon Hurst, all of Oregon; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur White, and a sister, Della Royland.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel on the Hill.

Hildegarde Otto
Hildegarde Adelle Otto, 81, of Bremerton died Feb. 7, 2000, in Bremerton of complications from a stroke.
She was born May 23, 1918, in Radium, Minn., to Franklin C. and Louise W.F. (Volkman) Knoll. She grew up in Radium, graduating from Warren High School in Warren, Minn., in 1936, and from normal training, also in Warren, in 1937.
She married Reinhold J. Otto on April 22, 1944, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
She taught school in Marshall County, Minn., from 1936 to 1941; was a clerk/typist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1942 to 1947; was a homemaker from 1947 to 1966; and was an administrative assistant at Olympic College from 1966 to 1974.
She had been a PTA committee member, a Cub Scout den mother, a Bluebird leader and secretary/treasurer of the West High Music Auxiliary. She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton, serving with the Altar Guild and the Priscilla Guild.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry of Belfair and Gail of Gig Harbor; two daughters, Kay Pauley of Bainbridge Island and Peggy Swistak of Bellevue; and six grandchildren, Jeff of Federal Way, Kellie of Phoenix, Ryan and Scott, both of Belfair, and Colin and Briana Pauley, both of Bainbridge Island. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold; by five sisters, Eleanora, Irma, Frieda, Edith and Martha; and by an infant grandchild, Jodi Otto.
A private graveside service will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton on Saturday, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Dorothy Perry
Dorothea "Dorothy" Perry, 65, of Poulsbo died Feb. 5, 2000, at her home after a short battle with cancer.
She was born Feb. 11, 1934, in Westport to William and Elsie Dietrich. She grew up in Westport, graduating from Ocosta High School there and from Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen. She also attended the University of Washington in Seattle and Saint Martin's College in Lacey.
She married Michael Perry on Sept. 3, 1954, in Westport.
Mrs. Perry was a legal assistant for law firms in North Kitsap County before taking a position with Owens, Davies and Mackie in Olympia. She worked there 26 years, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of the Meadowmeer Golf and Country Club.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Mark of Poulsbo; two daughters, Cheryl Lindgren of Duvall and Susan Wilson of Seattle; one brother, William Dietrich of Westport; one sister, Nancy Wallin of Aberdeen; and two grandchildren, Nicholas Cunningham of Duvall and David Perry of Poulsbo. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.

Willis Ferguson
Willis Merle Ferguson, 86, of Suquamish died Feb. 4, 2000, at his home.
He was born Oct. 27, 1913, in Manvel, N.D., to Lawrence and Christina (Shane) Ferguson. He was raised and educated in Manvel.
He married Hazel Fahy in 1933. They divorced in 1945. He married Mae R. White in 1955. She preceded him in death in 1984. He married Ilene P. Pence in 1986. She preceded him in death in 1991.
In 1937, Mr. Ferguson moved to Bainbridge Island where he worked at a logging and creosote plant. During World War II, he was a sheet metal worker in commercial ship repair in Eagle Harbor.
In 1945, he became a truck driver for Blossom Brothers Construction Company, retiring in 1975, after 30 years.
Mr. Willis was an active member of the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo. He received the Man of the Year award from the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sons of Norway in 1998.
Survivors include one son, Dale of Suquamish; one brother, Arthur of Grand Forks, N.D.; one sister, Adeline Roisland of Grand Forks; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Victor, in 1997.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo. Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.
