Felix Blackman
Felix Hays Blackman, 83, of Bremerton died Nov. 27, 1998, at his home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1915, in St. Louis to William and Mary (Affolter) Blackman. He graduated from Silsbee High School in 1934. He also attended San Francisco State College and Golden Gate Baptist College, earning a bachelor's degree in theology in 1949.
On July 5, 1942, he married Nadine Ruth Alston at a Baptist encampment at Palacious, Texas. She preceded him in death in 1988.
Mr. Blackman served in the Army Air Corps from 1945 to 1946, achieving the rank of corporal. He worked as a ship scheduler at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the American Legion; the Masonic Lodge in Beaumont, Texas; the Nazarene Church; and Sylvan Way Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Robert of Reedsport, Ore., Charles of Bremerton and William and Michael, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Elizabeth McDorman of Bremerton; three brothers, William of Vidor, Texas, Charles of Riverforest, Ill., and Richard of Killeen, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a son, David, in 1952.
Inurnment services will be at noon Dec. 4 at Forest Lawn cemetery, with memorial service following at the Sylvan Way Baptist Church, Bremerton. Cremation at Cherry Grove Crematory.
Arrangements are by Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Sylvan Way Baptist Church, 900 Sylvan Way, Bremerton, WA 98310.

Hilda Muyskens
Hilda F. Muyskens, 96, of Port Orchard died Dec. 2, 1998, in Bremerton of natural causes.
She was born July 26, 1902, in England to Frederick and Ruth (Binns) Fleming. She was raised in England until age 5 and then moved to Yakima.
On Nov. 26, 1925, she married Henry H. Muyskens in Port Orchard. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Muyskens was the first messenger girl at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the early 1900s. She then worked for the Applegate Law Firm before moving to a position at the Kitsap County Courthouse.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the South Kitsap Faculty Wives Club.
Survivors include a son, Henry of Port Orchard; a daughter, Ruth Chopp of Gig Harbor; five grandchildren, Allan Muyskens of Port Orchard, Susie Muyskens of Bremerton, Sally Harn of Olympia, David Chopp of Chicago and Jenny Lommers of Bellingham; and seven great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled.
Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Kathryn David
Kathryn Myrle David, 79, of Centralia died Dec. 1, 1998, at Providence Hospital in Centralia after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 12, 1919, in Bremerton to Ralph and Myrle (Emdee) Fahey. She graduated from North Kitsap High School. She moved to Centralia in 1953.
Mrs. David co-owned David's TV and Appliance in Centralia.
She was a member of the Centralia First Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dennis of Centralia; a daughter, Karen Roney of Centralia; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd David, in 1993.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 6 at the First United Methodist Church, 506 South Washington, Centralia. Interment icon will be at Sticklin-Greenwood Memorial Park in Centralia.
Arrangements are by Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary.

Rudd Hubbell Jr.
Rudd O'Dell Hubbell Jr., 70, of Winlock died Nov. 29, 1998, at his home of cancer.
He was born March 25, 1928, to Rudd O'Dell and Violet Hubbell in Bremerton. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1946.
Mr. Hubbell served in the Air Force from 1946 to 1948 as a radar technician. He worked in the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and for The Boeing Co. of Seattle, transferring to Vandenberg Air Base in California. He participated in all 13 of the NASA Apollo launches. After his retirement, he moved to Winlock and purchased a Christmas tree farm. Soon after, he married Viola Larkin-Pierce of Sequim.
He was a member of the Elks, the American Legion and the Rhododendron Grange.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Grant and Ed Anderson, both of Idaho, and Fred Grant of Sequim; a daughter, June Grant-Ericksen of Idaho; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock. Inurnment will be in Silverdale cemetery. A local memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Sharon Eisenbraun
Sharon Lynn Eisenbraun, 62, of Silverdale died Dec. 2, 1998.
She was born Nov. 12, 1936, in St. Paul, Minn.
Mrs. Eisenbraun worked as a legal secretary.
Survivors include her husband, John M. Eisenbraun; a son, Martin of New York; two daughters, Kathleen of Maryland and Deborah of Oregon; a brother, Wayne Thomas of California; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 11 at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are by Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church Building Fund or Hospice of Kitsap County, P.O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383.

John Flanagan Sr.
John William Flanagan Sr., 75, of Bremerton died Nov. 29, 1998, in Bremerton.
He was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Lubbock, Texas.
Mr. Flanagan served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. He worked as an engineering technician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 44 years.
Survivors include two sons, John Jr. and Mark, both of Bremerton; five grandchildren, Shelly of Bremerton, Shannon of Seattle and Ryan, Joseph and Andrew, all of Bremerton; and one great-grandchild.
At Mr. Flanagan's request, there will be no services.
Cremation and arrangements are by Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.

Barbara McWilliams
Barbara J. McWilliams, 70, of Port Orchard died Dec. 2, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital of cancer.
She was born Dec. 24, 1927, in Seattle to Edwin and Mildred (Vought) Bartow. She moved to Manchester in 1938 and attended South Kitsap High School.
Mrs. McWilliams worked in her family's business, Ed's Cafe in Manchester, with her parents. She also volunteered at the Kitsap Community Action Program for four years. Most recently, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Brennan of Florence, Ariz., Ross Brennon of Allyn and Eddie McWilliams of Port Orchard; a daughter, Wendi Crain of Port Orchard; five grandchildren, Traci Mackly and Laura Roache, both of Florida, Breanne Brennon of Olympia and Kris and Kari Brennon, both of Port Orchard. She was preceded in death by a son, Bryce McWilliams.
Private family services will be conducted.
Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

George Perry
George Joseph Perry, 48, of Port Orchard died Nov. 29, 1998.
He was born Sept. 30, 1950, in Portsmouth, Va., to Leo and Margaret (Brady) Perry. He was raised in Bremerton, graduating from West High School in 1968. He later attended Olympic College for two years.
Mr. Perry worked as a house painter for Covert Painting, painting custom homes on Bainbridge Island until his retirement.
Survivors include his companion of 20 years, Sharon Ostrem; his parents; three brothers, Leo Jr. and John, both of Port Orchard, and David of Tacoma; and two sisters, Marge Lent of San Ramon, Calif., and Susan Kneer of San Francisco.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 2, with rosary following at 6 p.m, both at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Chapel.
Interment will be at Miller Woodlawn cemetery.
Arrangements are by Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Ava Ashcraft
Ava Ann Kennedy Ashcraft, 49, of Bremerton died Nov. 28, 1998, at University Hospital in Seattle.
She was born Jan. 31, 1949, in Bremerton to Leonard and Mary (White) Dlugosh. She was raised and educated in the South Kitsap area, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1967. She later graduated from Olympic College.
On Feb. 28, 1998, she married Gary Ashcraft in Bremerton.
Mrs. Ashcraft worked for many years at Automated Printing at Bangor.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael and Joshua Kennedy, both of Bremerton; two daughters, Heather Kennedy of Bremerton and Kathy Hoyt of Washington, D.C.; a stepson, Peter Kennedy of Chicago; two stepdaughters, Jana Kennedy of Bremerton and Daryl Goduto of Indianapolis, Ind.; and numerous grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Cremation will be at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
