Patricia Maddocks
Patricia Maddocks, 79, of Poulsbo died Feb. 21, 1999, at Martha and Mary Nursing Home.
She was born June 19, 1919, in Seattle to Lester "Bennie" and Trace (Olson) Benson.
She was raised in Aberdeen and Richmond Beach, graduating from high school in Richmond Beach in 1937.
On Nov. 3, 1939, she married Stanley E. Maddocks in Edmonds.
Mrs. Maddocks worked as a bookkeeper for the city of Poulsbo.
She was a member of Christ Memorial Church, Order of the Eastern Star and was a life member of the Sons of Norway.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Steve of Gig Harbor; two daughters, Susan Hurley of Bremerton and Sallie Etchey of Poulsbo; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck Benson.
A memorial service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Martha and Mary Chapel in Poulsbo. A private interment will be at Poulsbo City cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, "The Stone Chapel."
Memorials may be made to Martha and Mary Nursing Home, Bay Unit, P.O. Box 127, Poulsbo, WA 98370.

Mary Wood
Mary O. Snider-Wood, 84, of Port Orchard died Feb. 21, 1999, at her home.
She was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Irby, Wash., to Freeman E. and Susie (Chase) Snider.
The family moved to Bremerton in 1925. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1932, and from Bremerton Business School in 1933.
On March 15, 1944, she married Ray N. Wood at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Bremerton. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wood began working as a bookkeeper for the Fletcher Printing Company and Bremerton Housing Authority. She retired from federal employment as civilian resources administrator at Naval Hospital Bremerton in 1970.
Survivors include two sons, Richard of Port Orchard and William of Poulsbo; five grandchildren, Rich of Port Orchard, Dawn Wood-Mathews of Oroville, Wash., Alecia Wood-Keppert of Port Orchard, Rachel Wood of Bellingham and Ian Wood of Seattle; and four great-grandchildren.
A spring memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cherry Grove Memorial Park. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran Social Services, 830 Pacific Ave., Suite 101, Bremerton, WA 98337.

Anna Brousseau
Anna Brousseau, 104, of Bremerton died Feb. 22, 1999, in Bremerton.
She was born Oct. 1, 1894, to Jack and Mary (Bridgeman) Carlow in Wamblee, S.D.
In 1912, she married Joseph Brousseau in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. Brousseau was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a charter member of the Eagles.
Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Tinney Oard and Lois "Dolly" Hage, both of Bremerton; and three grandchildren, Robin Aguiluz and Christopher and Brian Kalmbach, all of Bremerton; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Interment icon will follow at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Roy Engebretson
Roy Allen Engebretson, 78, of Bremerton died Feb. 14, 1999, at Oyster Bay Care Center.
He was born Feb. 5, 1921, in Bremerton to Sherman and Sadie (Endris) Engebretson. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1940.
Mr. Engebretson served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Franklin in the Western Pacific. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Medal, Victory Medal, American Theater Medal and received several admiral's commendations. He later worked as a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1960.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include a son, David of Bellingham; a brother, Ted of Bremerton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, Doug and Dick; and a sister, Verna Larson.
A family gathering will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Allene Voller
Allene L. Voller, 85, of Bremerton died Feb. 18, 1999, at Bremerton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 18, 1913, in Mobridge, S.D., and raised in Bowdle, S.D.
In 1934, she married Andrew Voller in Ipswich, S.D. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Jerome of Edgewood, Wash.; a sister, Kathryn Bland of Port Orchard; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Voller and Janette Howell, both of San Diego, Calif.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. March 2 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Mary Bridge Children's Health Center, 311 S. L St., Tacoma, WA 98405.

Genevieve Rogers
Genevieve "Gen" Rogers, 83, of Port Orchard died Feb. 23, 1999, in Port Orchard.
She was born June 13, 1915, in British Columbia, to William and Matilda (Leach) Dacre.
She was raised in Kimberley, B.C., graduating from Kimberley High School in 1933. She later graduated from Gault Medical College in West Bridge Alberta, Canada, in 1937.
On May 28, 1965, she married Paul Rogers in Tacoma.
Mrs. Rogers worked as a registered nurse at Harrison Hospital, Tacoma General and Naval Hospital Bremerton, retiring in 1969 after 32 years of service.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Bremerton and the Alumni Association of Gault Medical College.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Arlene Elvrom of Tacoma; a brother, Allen Rice of Kimberley, B.C.; a sister, Louise Maranchak of Kimberley, B.C.; numerous grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at at Rill Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Frances Reis
Frances Evangeline Reis, 80, of Silverdale died Feb. 21, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born April 25, 1918, in View Park, Wash.
She attended schools in Ellensburg and South Kitsap, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1936.
Mrs. Reis sold Avon products for a short time and then worked as an assistant physical therapist at Harrison Hospital for 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, William Reis of Silverdale; four daughters, Maureen Lingo of Poulsbo, Margie Mathews of Allyn, Marilyn Silberman of Poulsbo and Melanie Kincaid of Snohomish; a sister, Sharon Cederblom of Des Moines; seven grandchildren, Ann of Port Orchard, Shellie of Whidbey Island, Darcy of Detroit, Mich., Sheri, Steven and Brenda, all of Poulsbo, and Gregory of Snohomish; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, with funeral services immediately following, both at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Robert Bailey
Robert Louis "Bob" Bailey, 70, of Hansville died Feb. 21, 1999, at Island Health and Rehabilitation Center on Bainbridge Island.
He was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Wabash, Ind., to Roscoe and Francis (Smith) Bailey.
He was raised in South Bend, Ind., where he graduated from Wilson High School.
On June 8, 1996, he married Norma Jane Isakson, in Poulsbo.
Mr. Bailey served in the Marine Corps from 1946 to 1947 as an aircraft mechanic in the Pacific and at Midway.
He owned small businesses in South Bend, a grocery store and his own trucking delivery business and then worked for Dallas-Mavis Forwarding Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1993.
Mr. Bailey was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Poulsbo Police Senior Patrol, the Lions Club of Indiana and the American Truck Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, William and David, both of Bainbridge Island, and Gary of Spokane; three daughters, Barbara Weaver of Port Orchard, Mary Kathleen Tirotta of South Bend, Ind., and Nancy Foster of Seattle; a brother, Richard of Winston-Salem, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary E. (Kelly) Bailey.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Olaf's Church in Poulsbo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1551 Broadway, Suite 200, Tacoma, WA 98402.
