ALLEN L. O'FARRELL
Allen Lee O'Farrell, 69, born Sept. 28, 1935, in Tacoma, WA, the only child of Allen Rainier O'Farrell and Margaret Beatrice Telford O'Farrell. Al graduated from Everett High School in 1954, and Northrup Aeronautical Institute in CA. He worked in the aviation industry his whole life as an FAA airframe and power plant mechanic, authorized inspector and examiner. From 1972 until his retirement in 1998, he was an instructor in the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program at South Seattle Community College. Al was also a private pilot and taught aviation maintenance for 12 months from 1987 to 1989 in Tianjin and Guangzhou, China. He was a champion of aviation safety and mentor to many around the world. He is survived by his wife, Mary; their children, Scott and William of Camano Island, and children, Carrie Parker of Arizona, Lynne Nelson of Eastern Washington, Robert O'Farrell of Auburn and Stuart O'Farrell of Seattle; and numerous members of his extended family. A memorial service and reception was held 1 p.m., Sat., Jan. 22, 2005 at Stanwood United Methodist Church, 27128 - 102nd Dr. NW, Stanwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Al's name may be made to the Northwest Kidney Center, P.O. Box 3035, Seattle, WA 98114, become a blood or organ donor, or contribute to the charity of your choice.

EVA MAE SACHTLEBEN
1901-2005
A memorial service will be held for Eva Mae Sachtleben at Merrill Gardens in Stanwood Thurs., Jan. 27, at 2 p.m.

HERBERT F. TILL
Herbert Franklen Till, of Stanwood, Born July 7, 1929, in Pasadena, CA, he graduated from high school and attended the Azuza Pacific Bible College. April 6, 1948, Herbert passed away Sun., Jan. 16 at Skagit Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born to home-steading Danish parents, Thora and James T. Johnson, on the plains of Montana in Plentywood May 11, 1919. She was the youngest of five children, four girls and one boy. She attended a one-room school in Montana and after graduating, followed her sister out to Idaho, where she worked for awhile, then went to Spokane and then Monroe, where she settled and death by her husband Roy in 1971, and by one grandson. She is survived by her children, Jerry (Anita) Carlson, Sharon (Norm) Shultz, Royce (Sherrie) Carlson, Bruce (Doris) Carlson; one sister, Irma Berlin of Monroe; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

VeraMae was a wonderful mother, grandmother, homemaker, cook and baker. She loved to play cards, teaching all of her children and grandchildren card games. She was loved by all who knew her, with a warm sense of humor and a kind and gentle heart and hand.

We will miss you, Mother. A graveside service was held Sat., Jan. 15, at the I.O.O.F. died Jan. 6 at the Yuma Regional Medical Center.

He was death by his parents. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Sunset Vista Funeral Home of Yuma is handling local arrangements, including cremation. An born Nov. 6, 1991 in Monroe, WA. He lived most of his life surrounded by friends and family on Camano Island. For the last five months, Seattle was home, and more specifically, Children’s Hospital. He attended Utsalady Elementary and Port Susan Middle School for his school years.

Stanwood Foursquare Church was his home church and his church family.

His loves were dogs, cats, and cinnamon rolls and pizza held a special place in his heart. When George was waiting for his bone marrow transplant, his aunt Jan was known to cook George ham in the middle of the night when he was hungry and wanted something to eat.

George is survived by his brother, John; and his cousin, Ben Simon; his parents, Jodi and Dave Ballard; his aunt and uncle, Jan and Rob Simon; and his grandparents, Jim and Jackie Koricanek, Steve and Greta Ballard and Ann Ballard.

A memorial service will be held at Stanwood High School in the auditorium Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. All are welcome to come and celebrate George’s life. Donations can be made to the Caringbridge Foundation via their web page: www.caringbridge.org.

E. GAIL DAVIS
E. Gail Davis, 63, of Stanwood, born Oct. 14, 1941, in Stanwood, to Gerhard and Dorothy Weerda.

Gail graduated from Twin City High in Stanwood. She belonged to many organizations and served on various committees throughout her life: Rainbow Girls, American Legion, Eagles, VFW, Moose Lodge, to name a few. Gail also enjoyed gardening and, when time allowed, fishing, and catering various events.

Gail will be missed by her family and friends and remembered for her love and understanding of all those she came in contact with. Good-bye, and may God bless you for all of eternity.

Gail is survived by her sister, Roberta J. (Bobbie) Remmem and family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gerhard and Dorothy Weerda; her brother, Bill Weerda; husband, Doug Davis; and numerous other family members and friends. A wake will be held in her memory 1 p.m., Sat., Jan. 29, at the American Legion Post in Stanwood.

Donations may be made to the Susan Koman Cancer Foundation. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
