MATILDA A. GROTHE
Our Aunt Adeline/Nana 12/22/04
Irrelevant were the miles between us
No matter, the distance made
Even now as your physical presence is gone
Wherever your ashes are strayed.
The fondest childhood memories
Of you forever, I will hold
The feeling of love that surrounded me
Even if at times to others, it seemed cold.
The bond that was created within our family
Will withstand the test of time
Even though we tested each other's patience
And may have crossed the line.
It takes some people an entire lifetime to express their love
And others mere minutes, as they glance down from above
But through it all, the ups and downs,
The heartaches and tears come to pass.
You have left imprinted in my heart forever,
Those footprints that will last.
