JANESVILLE - Louise J. Clark, age 78, of 1601 N. Randall Ave., died Tues., Dec. 3, 2002, at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Independence, MO, on June 9, 1924, the daughter of Jess and Katherine (Stroud) Byerly. She married Alex J. Clark on Aug. 20, 1949, in Rockford, IL. She enjoyed cooking and needlework and loved to take care of her plants as she had quite the ''green thumb.''
She is survived by her husband, Alex; 2 daughters, Carol (Jerry) Vannoy of Whitewater and Kathy (Bill) McRoberts of Livingston, TX; 6 grandchildren: Tamberlyn (Jon) Dickinson, Kimberlyn (Todd) Harrington, Michael (Jennifer) Vannoy, Julie (Joshua) Nelson, Adam and Amber McRoberts; 3 great grandchildren: Jack, Zoey and Corrin; 2 brothers, Jay (Kathleen) Byerly of Bothell, WA, and Kenneth (Viola) Byerly of Cherokee, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Sim and Joe Byerly; and a sister, Genevieve Day.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 7, 2002, at the SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Tim Erickson of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Friends may call at the SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Schultz, Dale E.
May 8, 1928 - May 26, 2002
JANESVILLE - Dale E. Schultz, age 74, of 418 N. Terrace St., Janesville, died Sun., May 26, 2002, at Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Milton Junction, WI, on May 8, 1928, the son of the late Herman and Nora (Davis) Schultz. He was a member of Orchard View Alliance Church. On Nov. 12, 1949, in Janesville, he married the former Gertrude A. Hinkle. He later joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War, being honorably discharged in 1954. Dale worked at Norwood Mills for 33 years as a machinist, retiring in 1988. A very proud family man, he was also very fond of his dog, Duchess, and his cat, Tiger.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; 4 children: Roger of Waupun, WI, Randy, Thomas and Steven, all of Janesville; 4 grandchildren: Kristin, Daniel and Amanda Schultz, and Amy Cavallino; 4 sisters-in-law: Betty Schultz and Ruby Beyer, both of Janesville, Esther Haskin of Milwaukee, and Eleanor Hinkle of Beloit; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Jack Nelson of Beloit; brother-in-law, Robert Julian of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 4 brothers: Charles, who died May 24, 2002, Raymond, James and Merlyn; 2 sisters, Hazel Julian and Esther Frisque; and brother-in-law, Charles Frisque.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., June 1, 2002, at the MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, with Rev. Ronald Lord officiating. Private interment will follow there. Dale's family is being assisted by the WHITCOMB-LYNCH-OVERTON FUNERAL HOME.

Webb, K. Harriette
May 27, 1920 - Oct. 31, 2001
ALBANY - K. Harriette Webb, age 81, died Wed., Oct. 31, 2001 at her residence. She was born May 27, 1920, the daughter of Lee and Bernice (Scott) Phillips in Albany. She was married Oct. 31, 1938 to Roy ``Boots'' Webb, Jr. in Maquoketa, IA. Harriette worked at Albany Mfg. from 1954 to 1966. When the company moved from Albany to Janesville and changed its name to Gibbs Mfg., she worked from 1966 to 1976. Harriette also worked at Swiss Colony for five years until her retirement in 1985.
She is survived by her 3 children: Art P. Webb of Monroe, Cheryl Halcom of Salt Lake City, Tom (Denise) Webb of Albany; 5 grandchildren; 2 stepgrandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy "Boots"; a daughter-in-law, Patricia.
Funeral services will be on Mon., Nov. 5, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the BIFULK FUNERAL HOME in Albany. Burial will be at the Hillcrest cemetery. Friends can call from 6 until 8 p.m. on November 4 at the funeral home.

Wegmuller, Louise E.
Feb. 28, 1914 - Oct. 25, 2001
MILTON - Louise E. Wegmuller, age 87, died on Oct. 25, 2001 at Mercy Hospital. She was born on Feb. 28, 1914, in Stadtoldendorf, Germany, the daughter of Alfred and Louise (Garbe) Villars. She came to America with her parents.
Surviving is a son, Jim (Linda) Wegmuller of Milton.
According to Louise's wishes, there will be no services held. Burial will be in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. The Albrecht Funeral Home assisted the family.

Wildenburg, Stella A. (Birdd) (Downing)
JANESVILLE - Stella A. (Birdd) (Downing) Wildenburg, age 90, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Janesville.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Dean) Burmaster of Fort Wayne, IN; 6 sons: Edward Birdd of LaFarge, Ernest Downing, Roger (Linda) Downing, Gaylord (Irene) Downing, all of Janesville; Nolen (Janice) Downing of Edgerton, Eugene (LaCella) Downing of Wonewoc; 3 daughters-in-law: Jeanette (John) Harper, Barbara Downing, both of Janesville, Donna Downing of Sparta; 28 grandchildren; 61 great-children; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Martha Rashford of Madison, Julia Machovec of Richland Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Stella Wildenburg will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Tues., Nov. 6, 2001 at ST. JEROME'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Wonewoc with Fr. Wayne Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Tabor cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME in Wonewoc. The Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Williams, Jan R.
Jan. 24, 1956 - Oct. 23, 2001
BRODHEAD - Jan R. Williams, age 45, of W1244 Town Center Rd., passed away unexpectedly, Tues., Oct. 23, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on Jan. 24, 1956 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Floyd and Elizabeth (Shrier) Malcook. She married Jeff W. Williams on Sept. 23, 1978 in Brodhead. Jan graduated from Brodhead High School in 1974 and had worked at Sentry Food Store, the Brodhead Veterinary Clinic and was most recently employed by Danco FS of Brodhead. She was also active on the family farm. Jan enjoyed bowling and gardening, but her primary love was family.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff of Brodhead; 2 daughters, Ashley and Danyelle, both at home; parents, Floyd (Bill) and Elizabeth (Betty) Malcook, Brodhead; a brother, Larry (Mary) Malcook, Brodhead; 3 sisters: Ruthie (Galen) Roshiesen, Barb (Rick) Clark, Marj (Corky) Broughton, all of Brodhead; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Fri., Oct. 26, 2001, at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Brodhead, with Rev. Dan Herman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, Brodhead. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund will be established.

Williams, Joseph Leslie
Aug. 22, 1908 - Oct. 26, 2001
JANESVILLE/MILTON - Joseph L. Williams, age 93, of 730 McEwan Lane, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Encore Senior Villa, where he had been a resident since August 2001. He was born in Apple River, IL, on Aug. 22, 1908, the son of Joseph and Nell (Foley) Williams. Joe left his hometown of Apple River in 1926 at the age of 17 to work at General Motors. He married Marian Woodstock on Sept. 2, 1933, in Apple River, IL. Joe enlisted in the U.S. Navy (Seabee Construction Battalion) from 1943 to 1945 and was proud that he served his country during World War II. After returning from the service, he was self-employed as a truck driver for Northland Conveyor. In 1955, Joe and his wife started Williams Bus Service, transporting children to Janesville and Milton schools, and also drove a truck for Janesville Sand and Gravel. He was building inspector for the Town of Janesville for more than 32 years, retiring in 1997, at the age of 88. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Milton, American Legion Post 298 of Apple River, IL, Teamster Local 579 and Southwestern Wisconsin Building Inspector's Association. Joe enjoyed many things in life, including working, going to auctions and flea markets collecting a little bit of everything, visiting with friends, and spending time with family; best of all, playing with his special great-grandson. Joe was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and friend and will be greatly missed.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Marian; a daughter, Vicki (Ray) Heritage; 2 granddaughters, Amy (Kenneth) Garber and Heather Heritage; and a very special great-grandson, Derek Lee Garber, all of Janesville. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Glenn; and 2 sisters, Claribel Rieff and Mae McHatton.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Milton, with Msgr. James Uppena officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, WI 53546 and also on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial, with full military rites by Kienow-Hilt VFW Post #1621, will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery on Tuesday.

Snudden, Mary A.
January 25, 1923 - June 2, 2002
LAKE GENEVA - Mary A. Snudden, age 79, of 594 North Ridge Road, Lake Geneva, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at her residence. She was born January 25, 1923 in Wauconda, IL, the daughter of Simon and Maude Dickson Bishop. She was a graduate of Hebron, IL High School. Mary was united in marriage to Donald C. Snudden on June 28, 1941 in Hebron; he preceded her in death Dec. 6, 1974. She and her husband owned and operated the Jo-Vel restaurant in Lake Geneva and then the Triangle restaurant in Linn Township for a number of years. Mary was also the Clerk Treasurer for the Linn Township for 22 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Linn Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star #148 of Walworth, and was past Worthy Matron of Lake Geneva Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Bethel (Franklyn) Lash of Bloomfield Township and Mrs. Georgia (Lee) Foster of Orlando, FL; 2 grandchildren, Mike and Cheri Lasch; 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lorraine Gottschalk and Wintrice Dickson; 6 brothers: Clyde, Harold, Wendell, Russell, Carroll and Fred Dickson.
Eastern Star Services followed by Christian services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at the LINN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH with Rev. Jim Pollard and Rev. Maynard Elftman officiating at the Christian services. Burial will be in the Linn Hebron cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. STEINKE FUNERAL HOME, Lake Geneva, assisted the family with arrangements.

Mortimer Thomas Enright
October 09, 1926 - December 16, 2002

JANESVILLE - Mortimer Thomas Enright, age 76, of 223 N. Grant St., and formerly of Libertyville, IL, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002 at Haven House Hospice. He was born in Chicago, IL on Oct. 9, 1926, the son of Mortimer and Mae (Moran) Enright. He served in the US Navy in WWII in the Pacific Theater. He married E. Joanne Bowen on Feb. 4, 1956 in New Jersey. Mortimer graduated from Northwestern University and worked in Public Relations for the American Medical Association. He was an avid Chess player and served on the Board of Directors for the Janesville Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; a daughter, Pam Enright of Buffalo Grove, IL; and a sister, Rosemary Nolte of Saukville, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thurs., Jan. 2, 2003, at the Janesville Senior Center. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family. Memorials are preferred to HospiceCare, Inc.

JANESVILLE - June Marie Madden, age 69, of 4418 S. Indian Lake Dr., died Fri., Dec. 5, 2003 at home. She was born in Lansing, MI on June 21, 1934 the daughter of Alwin F. and Ruby (Aldridge) Shooltz. She was a nurse at the Southern Wisconsin Center in Racine County and at the Lincoln Lutheran Nursing Home. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends and her “Gourmet Club“.
June is survived by her 5 children: Katherine (Mark) Neumueller of Janesville, Robert J. (Deborah) Madden of Muskego, Timothy P. (Teri) Madden of Janesville, Kevin D. Madden of Franksville, WI and Darin A. (Kathryn) Madden of Fowlerville, MI; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 brothers: William Shooltz of Eaton Rapids, MI, Wayne Shooltz of Paradise, MI, LaVerne Shooltz of Elljay, GA and Douglas Shooltz of DeWitt, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elaine Wallace.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Fri., Dec. 12, 2003 at St. Pauls The Apostle Catholic Church, Racine, WI. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Pauls The Apostle Catholic Church, Racine, WI. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME, Janesville, WI is assisting the family.
