WESTON - Catherine Ann Linger, 81, of Weston died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Worthington Manor in Parkersburg where she had resided since 1998.
She was born Jan. 25, 1922, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Susie Woodruff Wagoner.

Dortha B. McCloud
VIENNA - Dortha Kathleen Brannon McCloud, 79, of Vienna died March 14, 2003, at Valley Center, South Charleston.
She was born May 20, 1923, at Leon, W.Va., the daughter of the late William Artemas and Lucy Jane Casto Brannon.

General C. Nichols
CONSTITUTION - General C. Nichols, 92, of Constitution, Ohio, died Thursday, March, 13, 2003.
He was born in Roane County, W.Va., and spent most of his life at Constitution.

PARKERSBURG -Ruth Fore Simon, 73, of Parkersburg died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Camden Clark Hospital.

ELENBORO - Kathleen V. ''Katy'' Walters, 83, of Ellenboro, W.Va., went to be with her Lord Friday, March 14, 2003, at Parkersburg.

Vona Lea Allman
VINCENT - Vona Lea Allman, 72, of Vincent died March 13, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in July 11, 1930, in Cairo, a daughter of the late Earl and Leota Elder Hudkins. She worked for the Wood County Board of Education and raised several foster children. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Parkersburg.

Lois Ann Bowers
BELPRE - Lois Ann Shrider Bowers, 62, of Belpre died at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 12, 1940 in Glenford, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Mae Albert Shrider. She was a 1958 graduate of Glenford High School and a member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church in Belpre.

Archie Cantwell Jr.
BELMONT - Archie Coy Cantwell Jr., 76, of Belmont died March 13, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 27, 1926, at Greenwood, W.Va., a son of the late Archie Coy Sr. and Edith M. Waldo Cantwell. He was retired from Pleasants County Board of Education where he was a school bus driver for 37 years. He was water and sewer superintendent for the City of Belmont until his retirement in 1989. He owned and operated A&A TV Sales in Belmont and then went into partnership with his brother, Robert, and opened a second store in St. Marys. They renamed the business Cantwell Appliances. They closed the business in 1974. He was in partnership with Robert Rogers in Rogers Excavating until they retired. Archie was a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church and a past superintendent of the Sunday school there. He was the youngest elected mayor of Belmont at the age of 24 and served for 14 consecutive years as mayor. While serving as mayor he was able to get city water and sewer installed and the streets paved with the help of council and the people of Belmont. He was a charter member of the Grant-Jefferson Lions Club where he served as secretary-treasurer. He was a volunteer member and a lieutenant in the Belmont Fire Department and enjoyed working at the Annual Belmont Carnival where he called Bingo. He received his 50 year pin from the St. Marys Masonic Lodge No. 41 AF and AM two years ago. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as Third Class Petty Officer in the Sea Bees on Okinawa as a heavy equipment operator. When he was in high school, Archie was selected to play in the 11th annual North-South football game in recognition of his record as one of West Virginia's most outstanding high school players on Aug. 18, 1944, at Laidley Field in Charleston, W.Va.

Sheila C. Carder
PARKERSBURG - Sheila C. Carder, 52, of West Virginia No. Nine, Parkersburg passed away March 13, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born in Fort Bragg, N.C., on April 15, 1950. Mrs. Carder was a 1968 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a 1969 graduate of Mountain State College, was of the Methodist faith, was a homemaker and enjoyed camping and the mountains.

Hazel Casto
VIENNA - Hazel R. Casto, 92, of Vienna died March 14, 2003, at the Arbors Nursing Facility, Marietta.
Arrangements will be announced by Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna.

Carl Coffman
PARKERSBURG - Carl Coffman, 74, of Parkersburg died March 14, 2003, at Cleveland Clinic.
Arrangements are pending at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.

Anna M. Colombo
PARKERSBURG - Anna M. Lehosit Colombo, 89, of Parkersburg, mother of Parkersburg Mayor Jimmy Colombo, died March 14, 2003, at the Willows Nursing Center, Parkersburg.
Arrangements will be announced by Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg.

John W. Crouser
WASHINGTON - John W. Crouser, 76, of Washington died March 14, 2003, at his residence.
Arrangements will be announced by Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg.

PARKERSBURG - Glen M. Flint, 75, of Parkersburg died March 14, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Beatrice Geib
PARKERSBURG - Beatrice "Betty" Geib, 82, of Parkersburg departed this life Friday, March 14, 2003, in Parkersburg.
Mrs. Geib was born April 22, 1920, in Clarksburg, W.Va. She was a graduate of Pennsboro High School with the Class of 1939 and attended Mountain State Business College of Parkersburg. In 1941, she accepted employment with the Western Union Telegraph Company in Washington, D.C., as a teletype operator and later worked for the American Red Cross. In 1978, she retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington, D.C.

PARKERSBURG - Donald G. Goudy, 71, of Parkersburg died March 14, 2003, at Wyngate.
Arrangements are pending at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.

Ralph L. Huck
VINCENT - Ralph L. Huck, 75, of Vincent died Friday, March 14, 2003, in Marietta.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Nelson; four daughters, Sharon, Rebecca, Diane and Debbie; seven brothers; and four sisters.
