After two years faithful service on the basketball squad
three more of H. H. S. athletes are passing into history.
Reading from left to right they are: Captain Powell, Jim
Smith, and Charlie Eubanks. Discussing them as a group
it may be said that they leave behind them a task well done.
Where they will go from here is unknown, but they will
have the eyes of Huntington High upon them wherever it
may be. Good luck, fellows.

TOURNAMENTS
Despite a just partially successful season, the Slutz-
men entered confidently into the Marshall College Sectional
Tournament and a 47-8 victory over Gilbert seemed to give
them a new lease on life, but in the second round, William-
son, a team they had beaten twice, turned upon them and
gave them the small end of a 22-19 score in a highly ex-
citing game. Thus endeth the first lesson.
Later, at the state tourney at Buckhannon, history
showed its tendency for repetition. After sending Rich-
wood home with their tails between their legs, in the second
contest, when they had practically cinched the game, they
were overtaken and outrun by the strong Washington Irving
team of Clarksburg, which later went into the finals. Thus
endeth the second lesson.
