He was a retired miner and bulldozer operator from Marqart-Peerless Coal Co., an Army veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Surviving: daughters, Rebecca Jones of Gassaway, Cindy Davis and Tammy Nester of Charleston, Ramona Farley of Widen, Kitty Thaxton of Looneyville, Kathy Smith of Dille; brother, Lloyd Dodrill of Bridgeport; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was a retired miner from Eastern Associated Coal Co., a member of the VFW, UMW and Redman Lodge and was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Surviving: son, John Holstein of Madison; brother, Joe Holstein of St. Albans; sisters, Kathy Berlin of Charlotte, N.C., Ella Mae Cardenas of Princeton, Jenny Davis of Nitro, Betty Sinopoli of Waxhaw, N.C. He was a retired plant supervisor from West Virginia-American Water Co. with 38 years of service, a Methodist, a member and secretary of Odd Fellows Lodge 90, Weston, an associate member of Odd Fellows Lodge 136, Berlin, a member of Stonecoal Fishing Club and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving: wife, Wanda Steele Waugh; sons, Robert and Stanley Waugh of Weston; brothers, Hartzel Waugh of Weston, James Waugh of Jane Lew, Doyle Waugh of Ambridge, Pa., Loyle Waugh of Little Washington, Pa.; three grandchildren. She was an ordained minister in the United Methodist Conference, Pastor of Lumberport United Methodist Church, formerly served in Mansfield Charge, Philippi, Waldeck Charge, Weston, and Good Hope Charge. She was a retired office supervisor from the West Virginia-American Water Co. with 37 years of service, a member and past matron of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 40, Weston, a member of Parent Volunteers of Polk Creek Elementary School and the Sunshine Foundation, Philippi, and a former member of the Parent Council of Alderson-Broaddus College. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Boyle Funeral Home, Weston. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
