He was a retired supervisor of operations for the Steam Power Plant at Elkem Metals Co., Alloy, W.Va. He was a native of Franklin, W.Va., and a World War II Navy veteran. He was a Methodist. He was a graduate of Mathias High School and attended West Virginia Institute of Technology.
