Dustin Wayne Bailey HOMETOWN -- Dustin Wayne Bailey, 22, of Hometown, Putnam County, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, in an accident in Hurricane, said a spokeswoman for the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. He was a carpenter with Best General Contractors, Liberty, a graduate of Poca High School and received a degree in electronics and computer engineering technology from the National Institute of Technology, Cross Lanes.

Jerry M. Griffith Jerry M. Griffith, 61, of Charleston died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, in CAMC General Division, after a short illness. He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer with Evans Funeral Home, Chapmanville, and a member of the West Virginia and National funeral directors association. He had attended West Virginia University and West Virginia State College and was a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Griffith.

He was a 1943 graduate of Fayetteville High School and a graduate of West Virginia University. He was a certified civil mediator by the National Judicial College, Reno, Nev. He was a retired circuit court judge and former Fayette County prosecuting attorney. He was past commander of LaFayette American Legion Post, a member of Masonic Lodge 57, Fayetteville, Fayetteville Rotary Club, Fay-ette County Bar Association, National Prosecuting Attorney Association and the Fayette Hunt Club. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, a pilot, a lifelong resident of Fayette County and a Baptist.
