HILLSDALE -- JoAnna Ayers, 69, of Hillsdale, formerly of Meadow Bridge, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, in Summers County Hospital, Hinton, after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Surviving: daughter, Louise McGuire of Rupert; sisters, Lucy Adkins, Catherine and Helen Flint; one grandchild. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Wickline Cemetery, Meadow Bridge. There will be no visitation. Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle, is in charge of arrangements.

KIMBERLY -- Helen Violet Barko, 87, of Kimberly died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, in Montgomery General Hospital after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kimberly.

LITCHFIELD, Ohio -- John H. Blake, 56, of Litchfield died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at home after a long illness. He was a native of Richwood, W.Va., an employee of Ford Motor Co., attended Global Church of God, Akron, and was a member of the UAW.
