He was a retired operator from FMC Corp., a drafting instructor at Boone County Vocational Center, member of St. Albans Moose Lodge, an Air Force veteran and a graduate of South Charleston High School.

She was a homemaker, member of Nazarene Church, Dunbar, attended West Point Baptist Church, Asbury, and was a former employee of S.S. Kresge Co.

RICHLAND, Mich. -- Lindsay Aimee Cornelius, 16, of Richland died Jan. 30, 1998, in Richland from injuries received in an automobile accident. No other information was available. She was a 10th-grader at Gull Lake High School, where she was involved in many school activities, and a member of Richland Bible Church, where she was a member of the high school youth group.
Surviving: parents, Roger Lee and Roxanne Kay Sheffer Cornelius of Richland; brothers, Lee Edward and Lance Aaron, both of Kalamazoo, Lane Eric at home; paternal grandmother, Margaret Cornelius of South Charleston, W.Va.; maternal grandparents, Charles and Wildarene Sheffer of Allegan. She was a member of Church of Christ, Beckley, and was a retired schoolteacher from Raleigh County Board of Education with 39 years' service. She was a member of Retired Teachers Organization and a graduate of Concord College.
Surviving: son, James Clarence Henderson of Hurricane; sister, Hazel Miller Fotos of Prosperity; caregiver, Linda Powers; grandson, James Conley Henderson of Hurricane; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. JACKSON, Ky. -- Irene Eugena Hoge, 87, of Jackson, died Jan. 29, 1998, in Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, after a long illness. She was a member of Guerrant Memorial Presbyterian Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was employed as bursar of South Western University, Washington, D.C., was a schoolteacher in Breathitt County, and was a retired manager of Agricultural and Soil Conservation with 32 years' service.

SEBRING, Ohio -- Frank J. Krebs, 92, of Sebring, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died Jan. 30, 1998, in Sebring after a long illness. He was born in Szakadath, Hungary. He attended Mount Union College, Alliance, where he received his bachelor's degree. He received his master's and Ph.D. from Ohio State University, Columbus. He was a high school teacher and administrator in Carroll and Harrison counties. He was Superintendent of Schools, Southern District, from 1944 to 1949, employed by the U.S. Office of Education. He was a retired professor from the University of Charleston with 23 years' service. He was a member of Dellroy United Methodist Church, St. Marks United Methodist Church, Charleston, W.Va., and York and Scottish Rites.
Surviving: sister, Rose Folk of Akron; several nieces and nephews. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at J.E. Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Charleston. Thomas Edward "Tom" Scarbro, 66, of South Charleston died Jan. 30, 1998, in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, after a long illness. He was a retired South Charleston police officer with 22 years' service, a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, member of Fraternal Order of Police, Dunbar Masonic Lodge 159 and Scottish Rite. He was a native of Kingston and a 45-year resident of South Charleston.

PALATKA, Fla. -- John Doyle Andrews Sr., 83, of Palatka died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, in Florida. He was born in Crawford, Lewis County, W.Va., retired from Stanton Ford Motor Co., was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, Palatka, and the church choir.

Herman C. Hambrick
MARIETTA, Ohio -- Herman Casto Hambrick, 86, of Marietta died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, in Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kenna, Jackson County, W.Va., was a graduate of Charleston (W.Va.) High School, received a bachelor's degree from New River State College and a master's degree from Marshall University. He retired from Kanawha County (W.Va.) schools with 41 years of service as a teacher, principal, administrator and assistant superintendent. After his retirement, he was associated with the West Virginia State Department of Education and was a lobbyist at the West Virginia Legislature. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church, Charleston, where he taught the Christian Couples Class for 25 years. He was a member of Kappan Honorary Society, a member and former president of the Kiwanis Club, Charleston, and received a citation from the American Red Cross for saving a student's life.
Surviving: son, Herman Hambrick II of Marietta; sister, Nadine Smith of Daytona Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home, Charleston, W.Va. Burial will be in Grasslick Cemetery, Kenna.
