NEWVILLE -- Georgia F. Morrison, 86, of Newville, Braxton County, died Monday, April 6, 1998, in Braxton County Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was a Christian and a homemaker.

Glenna Melvina Mullins, 89, of Charleston died Monday, April 6, 1998, in Arthur B. Hodges Center after a long illness. She retired from the federal Civil Service and was an Army veteran.

Ruth L. Myers, 78, of Charleston died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at home. She was retired from the city of Charleston mailroom and was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary.

GAULEY BRIDGE -- Adam L. Naylor, 27, of Gauley Bridge died Monday, April 6, 1998, from injuries received in an automobile accident on Route 39 West, near Summersville, said a spokeswoman with the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department. He was an auto mechanic and carpenter.

POINT PLEASANT -- Edison Maxwell Putney, 73, of Point Pleasant died Tuesday, April 7, 1998, in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, after a long illness. He was a federal police officer, a member of Elmwood United Methodist Church, Leon, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Ida B. Bateman Putney.

Joann Selbe
Joann Selbe, 48, of Campbells Creek was found dead Monday, April 6, 1998, in the creek behind Peggy's Dairy Treat in the 500 block of Clover Drive in Campbells Creek, said a spokesman for the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department. Her body was sent to the state medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death, the spokesman said. She was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.
Surviving: son, John Woods of Clanton, Ala.; daughters, Lisa Selbe and Amy Selbe of Campbells Creek; mother, Eula Campbell of Campbells Creek; brothers, Frank Campbell of Belle, Ed Campbell and Donald Campbell of Parkersburg, Donnie Campbell of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Norma Cunningham of Parkersburg; one grandchild. COVINGTON, Va. -- Richard Agatho Wiersteiner, 88, of Covington, formerly of Lewisburg, W.Va., died Monday, April 6, 1998, in Liberty House Nursing Home, Clifton Forge, Va. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Covington, Knights of Columbus and Lewisburg Rotary Club and was a volunteer at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, W.Va.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- James Henry Woodall, 72, of St. Petersburg died Saturday, April 4, 1998, in Bayfront Medical Center of heart disease. He was an executive with the Yellow Freight Trucking Co., Pittsburgh, Pa., and later with Smalley Trucking, Tampa, Fla., until his retirement in 1985. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, VFW Post 3466, Charleston, was twice Past Patron of Adah Chapter 219 Order of the Eastern Star, member of South Gate-Marshall Masonic Lodge 808 AF&AM, Scottish Rite, Sclama Grotto of St. Petersburg, Egypt Shrine Temple of Tampa, was 1998-99 District 27 chairman of the Masonic Home for OES, a volunteer for the St. Petersburg Police Department, serving on the road patrol and resources center and a code enforcement volunteer for Snell Isle Property Owners Association.
