LIMA, Ohio -- Charles E. Washington Sr., 74, of Lima, Ohio, died Saturday, April 4, 1998, in Lyndhurst Healthcare Facility, St. Paul, Minn., after a short illness. He was born in Sprague, W.Va., and was retired from Wells Department Store. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a longtime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1911, where he was a member of the color guard. Surviving: sons, Charles E. Jr. of St. Paul, Sherman P. of Columbus, Phillip E. of Charleston, W.Va., Stanley P. of Lima; sister, Edna Wilson of Charleston; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Service was held April 10 at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Lima, with the Rev. Melvin J. Woodard officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.

Cyrus B. Webb
BECKLEY -- Cyrus Basil Webb, 85, of Beckley, died Friday, April 17, 1998, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a short illness. He was born in Raleigh County. He was a retired miner and an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving: son, Cyrus B. He was a retired miner from Hope Mining Co. and was a member of the UMW. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving: sons, Danny, Jerry, Johnny and Richard of Bandytown; daughters, Beth Hebert of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Nancy Sigmon of Wharton; brothers, Curtis of Madison, P.D. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and Shriner for 46 years. Surviving: sister, Carolyn Bowles of Hurricane; several nieces and nephews.
