Ames Co., Parkersburg, was an Army veteran of World War II, attended Stevenson United Methodist Church, Parkersburg, was a member of Ashton Masonic Lodge 12, Ravenswood, VFW Post 6669, Ravenswood, and Parkersburg DAV Chapter 6. Surviving: daughters, Pat Atkinson of Williamstown, Becky Smith and Norma Jean Crowder of Parkersburg, Mary Ann Seasor of Massillon, Ohio; sister, Louise Mancarie of Ravenswood; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, were she was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer of the Missionary Society, a member of the Willing Workers Club, former choir member and former church clerk. Surviving: daughter, Lois Watkins of Beards Fork; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Beards Fork, with Pastor Earl Jackson officiating. MIAMI, Fla. -- Andre Wade Harris, 18, of Miami, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, in Miami of an apparent heart attack, said a spokeswoman with the Miami-Dade County medical examiner's office. He was a senior at Miami Sunset High School, where he was captain of the swim team, was an employee of ross Stores and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Charleston. Surviving: mother and stepfather, Linda Powers Trimble and Thomas Trimble of Miami; father, Harold Wade Harris of Charleston; maternal grandmother, Allene Morris of Charleston; paternal grandmother, Helen Harris of Charleston. He was born in Pipestem, W.Va., attended the Assembly of God, Marshall, Va., was a retired Army veteran of World War II and a coal miner with 22 years of service. Surviving: wife, Grace B. Hatcher; daughters, Jo Ann Bare of Beckley, W.Va., Betty Humphrey of Cool Ridge, W.Va., Norma Abbott of Vienna; sons, Robert C. He was born in Martinsburg and was a graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. and master's degree in Agriculture, was a member of Old Stone Presbyterian Church, charter member of the Greenbrier Valley Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, received the WVU Distinguished Alumni Award of the College of Agriculture and Forestry in 1989, was a master mason of The Grand Lodge, Triluminar Lodge 117, Middleway, member of the West Virginia Farm Bureau, Alpha Zeta Agriculture Honorary and the NRA. He was a captain in the Army, a retired Agricultural Extension Agent and a 44-year resident of Lewisburg. Surviving: wife, Wilda Boyd Van Metre; daughters, Sandra V. Judy of Shippensburg, Pa., Julie V. Tate of Ashland, Va., Dorothy V. Covington of Richmond, Va.; son, James M. IV of Lewisburg; sisters, Bessie V. Diffenderfer and Katherine B.
