Surviving: several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Evans Funeral, Chapmanville, with the Rev. Mac Bryant and the Rev. Rex Browning officiating. Forest H. Robinson
HUNTINGTON -- Forest H. Robinson, 73, of Huntington, formerly of Petersburg, Ind., died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Mariner Health Care, Huntington, after a long illness. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of White River Chapel, United Methodist Church of Petersburg. He retired from the U.S. Army and the Indiana Board of Education. Surviving: wife, Beulah Kirby Robinson; sister, Anna Higginbotham of Huntington; brother, Edward Robinson Jr. of Ronceverte. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Longanacre Funeral Home Chapel, Fairlea, with the Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Ronceverte. Mary E. Shumaker
PRINCETON -- Mary Ellen Shumaker, 86, of Princeton died Wednesday, April 22, 1998 in Princeton Community Hospital. She was a retired medical secretary with 52 years of service in the medical office of Dr. Frank Holroyd in Princeton. She was a member of the Princeton Quota Club and served as President in 1966-67. She was a charter member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and a 1929 graduate of Beaver High School. Surviving: son, Frank G. "Gary" Shumaker Jr. of Charleston; daughter, Mary Jane Farmer of Princeton; sister, Dorothy E. "Skeekie" Gaffney of Christiansburg, Va.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Graveside service was to be 1 p.m. today at Monte Vista Park Cemetery, Green Valley with Dr. David Dockery officiating. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. today. Seaver Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. She was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church, Cowen, W.Va. Surviving: husband, Clinton C. Snyder of Decatur, Ala.; son, Michael A. Clyde M. Taylor, 77, of St. Albans died Thursday, April 23, 1998, in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was retired from Union Carbide's South Charleston plant with 33 years of service. He attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church, St. Albans. He was a member of South Charleston Masonic Lodge No. 168, the Scottish Rite body and Beni Kedem Shrine. He was born in Roane County. GLENWOOD -- Lawrence E. Waugh, 68, of Glenwood died Thursday, April 23, 1998, in Pleasant Valley Hospital, Pt. Pleasant, after a sudden illness. He was a laborer at John Hayman Plant, Huntington. Surviving: wife, Donnie Sue Waugh of Glenwood; sons, David L., Roger D., Irvin E. and Daniel Waugh of Glenwood; daughters, Atricia Abailes of Buffalo, Regina Lee Waugh of Glenwood; sisters, Dottie Edmonds of Lesage, Opal Nibert of Proctorville, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Ernest W. Workman
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ernest W. Workman, 79, of Columbus died Thursday, April 23, 1998, in Columbus. He was a native of the Charleston and Montgomery, W.Va., areas and an all-star football player for the Gauley Bridge High School Class of 1938. He served during World War II in the China, Burma, India Theater of Operations with the Army/Air Force as a master sergeant/flight engineer for six years, served 16 years at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a crew chief and 15 years as a senior equipment specialist at DCSC in Columbus. He was a Lutheran. Surviving: son, David of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Carol of Nenada, Alaska; stepson, R. Kurtzof Columbus; brother, Jerome Workman of Dixie, W.Va., one stepgrandson. Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, Columbus, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions to a favorite church or charity of choice.

HUNTINGTON -- Hanna Danielle Worrell, 5, of Huntington died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, in Roanoke (Va.) Memorial Hospital from injuries received after being hit by an automobile, said a hospital spokeswoman. She was an organ donor. Surviving: mother, Jodie Ann Worrell of Huntington; grandparents, Jim and Dorothy Thomas of Huntington; grandfather, John Worrell of Julian; aunt, uncle and caregivers, Carrie and David Wood of Chesapeake, Ohio. Danny J. Brogan, 55, of St. Albans, formerly of Florida, died April 24, 1998, in VA Hospital, Huntington, after a long illness. He was a retired Army staff sergeant with 25 years' service and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a Protestant. Surviving: son, Dennis J. Cameron L. Carpenter, 33, of Sissonville died April 23, 1998, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Old Tuppers Creek Road, said a Kanawha County Sheriff's Department spokesman. He was a heavy-equipment operator for Kimberly Industrial and a member of Union Valley Gospel Tabernacle Church, Tuppers Creek. Surviving: wife, Beverly Oxley Carpenter; daughters, Tiffany Michelle and Brittany Nichole Carpenter, both at home; father, Dallas Carpenter Sr. of Tuppers Creek; mother and stepfather, Loretta and Jim Burgess of Elkview; sisters, Karen Denise Barker and Deborah Lynn Coleman, both of Sissonville, Kimberly Ann McMillion of Tuppers Creek; brother, Dallas P. He was disabled, a graduate of USA Truck Driving School and an Army veteran.
