Lloyd A. McDowell, 87, of St. Albans, died Thursday, May 15, 1997, in Americare-Putnam, Hurricane, after a long illness. He was a retired salesman from Elk Grocery and former manager of Economy Wholesale, St. Albans. He was a Christian and a lifelong resident of Kanawha County. Surviving: foster daughter, Anna Tryall of St. Albans; sisters, Macil Woodrum of Alkol, Helen Bonnie of Phoenix, Ariz., Dorothy Mallory and Eugene Lawhorn, of St. Albans, Emogene Robertson of Scott Depot, Nell Ruth Bassitt of Hamilton, Ohio; brother, Romie of Marbury, Ala.; three foster grandchildren; seven foster great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. BUFFALO -- Myrtle I. Nease, 88, of Buffalo died Thursday, May 15, 1997, at home after a long illness. She was a homemaker and the oldest living member of Buffalo United Methodist Church. Clifford Picklesimer, 74, of Hurricane died Thursday, May 15, 1997, at home after a long illness. He was a retired general foreman for Appalachian Power Co. and a member of APCO Retirees Club, Dunbar Masonic Lodge No. 159 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies and Beni Kedem Shrine. He was a 50-year resident of the Kanawha Valley and a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving: wife, Elva N. She was of the Christian faith and attended Atkinson Memorial Church. Surviving: husband, Rev. James W. HENDERSON, Nev. -- Golda E. "Canfield" Tindall, 90, of Henderson died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at St. Rose Hospital, Henderson, after a long illness. She was an assistant postmaster, a store owner and a private duty nurse. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of World War I veterans, Elkins Chapter, WCTU , Senior Citizens Center of Elkins and Henderson and served as a former volunteer for the Red Cross, the United Fund and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Elkins, W.Va., and a former member of First Baptist Church, Webster Springs, W.Va., and Sand Run Baptist Church, Bolair, W.Va.
