Surviving: husband, Robert Patrick Watson of Inman, S.C.,; daughters, Elizabeth Watson Cumalander of Little Mountain, S.C., Leland Watson McGinn of Columbia; sister, Carol Javins of West Virginia; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren. She was born in Richmond Bottom, Raleigh County, and was a lifelong resident of Summers County. She was a member of First Christian Church of Hinton, received a teaching certificate from Concord Normal School (Concord College) in 1926 and taught in Summers and Raleigh counties. Surviving: son, Garland Tyree of Nimitz; stepson, Eldridge Ellison Jr. of Hinton; stepdaughters, Jean Harvey of Nimitz, Margie Allen of Hilldale; nephews, Jack Richmond of Hinton, William Smith of Medina, Ohio; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Richard Charles Grimm, 77, of South Charleston died Thursday, May 1, 1997, in CAMC, Memorial Division, after a long illness. He was a retired developmental scientist for Union Carbide Corp. Tech Center with 42 years of service. He was a Scoutmaster, an adult math tutor and was involved with Little League of South Charleston. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., and was a graduate of Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio. Surviving: wife, Estrue Simmons Grimm; sons, Fred of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Rick of London, England, Andy of Milton; brothers, Wendell of Scottdale, Pa., Arthur of Leola, Pa., Tom of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren. James E. Horsham
EDGEWATER, Ill. -- James Edward Horsham, 53, of Edgewater died Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at home of lung cancer. He was a long-term educator for the City Colleges of Chicago. He was born in Charleston, W.Va., and with the recommendation of the National Negro Scholarship Fund, enrolled at Ohio University, graduating with an master's degree in political science and a major in international relations. He moved to Chicago in 1968 where he obtained a teaching position at Southeast (now Olive-Harvey) College, introduced courses in African history and helped establish the Black Studies Department. He taught at Olive-Harvey for 20 years then transferred to Harry S. Truman College where he taught international relations, political science and social studies. He studied during his teaching career and received a Ph.D. In 1996, his biography was published in, "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." He was preceded in death by parents, Dr. Joseph Horsham, who was former vice president of the National Medical Association, and Hazel Horsham. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Truman College's O'Roarke Theatre.

Ingeborg M. Johnson
HUNTINGTON -- Mrs. Ingeborg M. Johnson of Huntington, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, Barboursville.
