Lydia Rose Becker
Lydia Rose Becker, 3 days old, of East Millsboro, Pa., died Jan. 19, 2000, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born Jan. 16, 2000, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Darrell and Christina Yoder Becker, of East Millsboro. She is also survived by a sister, Angela Marie Becker; a twin brother, Andrew James Becker; a stepbrother, Dwayne Stephen Becker; a stepsister, Danielle Rose Becker; paternal grandparents Henry and Helen Huzina Becker and maternal grandparents, Edward and Angelina Teodori Yoder. Friends may call at Dolfi Funeral Home, Uniontown, from 7-9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Angels will be offered in St. Therese Roman Catholic Church 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, with the Rev. Kenneth Zaccagnini as celebrant. Burial will be held at a later date in the family cemetery.

Arlie Eddie Tennant
Arlie Eddie "Ed" Tennant, 64, of Short Street, Grant Town, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at home. He was born Sept. 1, 1935, in McCurdysville, son of the late Hollie and Lettie Eddy Tennant. He was a former employee of the Grant Town Water Department, and Merchant Specialty Co. He was also the former caretaker of McCurdysville Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Lois Rose Shuman Tennant; two daughters, Karen and Sharon Tennant; a granddaughter, all of the home; a brother and spouse, Jack and Jane Tennant, of Martinsburg; five sisters, Wilma Runion, of Grant Town, Gail Angelone, of Tuttle Creek, Pa., Ilene Tennant, of Grant Town, Janie Rogers, of Elyria, Ohio, Mrs. Bill (Winnie) Michael, of Grant Town; a brother-in-law and spouse, Stanley Alberta Shuman; and mother-in-law, Rosa Shuman, all of Rivesville. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Tennant, and a sister, Norma Tennant. Friends may call at Domico Funeral Home, Curry Chapel, Fairview, from 1-9 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, until 1 p.m. service with the Rev. Bob Barker officiating. George B. Fox
George B. Fox, 79, of Waynesburg, Pa., died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Veterans Hospital, Aspinwall, Pa. He was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Mount Morris, Pa., son of the late Rachel Mary Birch and George W. Fox. He was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church, Waynesburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Engineer Corp., and served in Germany during World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 4793, of Waynesburg. He worked 12 years for Kelly Creek Coal Co., in Maidsville and for Pursglove No. 15 mine on Scotts Run. He is survived by four daughters, Elaine Shekerko, of Morgantown, Mary Jane Phillips, of Carmichaels, Pa., Nancy Fox, of Washington, Pa., and Lovisa Epperley, of Cabin Creek; a son, Bradley Paul Fox, of Morgantown; a sister, Thelma Alleman, of Columbus, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter in infancy; two sons; five brothers, Roy L. Fox, Albert W. Fox, Thomas L. Fox, Furman L. Fox and James Frederick Fox; and two sisters, Lovisa Fox, in childhood and Nellie Phillips. Friends may call at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., 197 N. Norman Paul Wright
Norman Paul Wright, 71, of Mount Morris, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, of a heart attack at work. He was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Shirley, son of the late Este and George Wright. He was a mechanic for several years for the city of Davenport, Iowa, retiring in 1990. Following his retirement, he worked for several oil and gas drilling companies, most recently for Yost Drilling Co., in Mount Morris. He was a member of the Davenport Iowa Masonic Blue Lodge 37 AF&AM, Scottish Rite of Davenport, and the Osiris Temple Shrine, of Wheeling. He was also a member of the Morgantown Shrine Club Mountaineer Patrol. He was a member of Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461, James T. Maxon American Legion Post 992, of Mount Morris, and the Mount Morris Sportsman Club. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Miller Wright; two sons, Homer Paul Wright, of Oakforest, Pa., and Keith Allen Wright, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; six grandchildren, Carrie Jo Fisher, Julie Rae Wright, Paula Jo Wright, Heather Dawn Wright, Brian Keith Wright and Kimberly Jean Brumley; and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Ellsworth Avenue, and U.S. 19, Mount Morris, Pa., from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Jessie Sue Warfield
Jessie Sue Warfield, 74, of Greensboro, Pa., died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born May 25, 1925, in Erwin, Tenn., daughter of the late Jacob Mashburn and Nancy Sams Mashburn. She is survived by her husband, John Warfield; two daughters and spouses, Nancy and Bruce Burris, of Greensboro, Pa., and Sondra and Harry Schloeffel, of Harriman, N.Y.; a brother, Edward Mashburn, of Erwin, Tenn.; and three granchildren, Gavin Burris, David Schloeffel and Brianna Burris. She was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Friends may call at Louis E. Rudolph Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa., from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be private. Dorothy Ward
Dorothy Ward, 88, of Montrose Avenue, Morgantown, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at home. She was born Dec. 10, 1911, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Al Denson. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She traveled throughout the United States with her husband Jack, assisting him in his work as a labor organizer. She is survived by her husband, Jack A. Ward Sr.; a son and spouse, Rev. Jack A. Jr. and Wilma Ward, of Plum Borough, Pa.; five grandchildren, Karen Ward, Jack Ward, Rickey Ward, Jason Ward and Dana Ward, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters. Friends may call at Dering's Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, with a 1 p.m. service Monday, Jan. 24, with the Rev. Mary E. Morgan officiating. Burial will be in East Oak Grove Cemetery.

Irene Knight Bunner
Irene Knight Bunner, 81, of Bunner Ridge, now living in Lexington, Ky., with her son, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at home. She was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Colfax, daughter of the late Clarence and Orlie Cheuvront Knight. She was a homemaker and mother. She was an elementary school teacher for the Marion County Board of Education for 30 years before retiring, teaching primarily in one-room schools. She was a member of Bunner Ridge Church of Christ. She was a 1935 graduate of East Fairmont High School, and received her teacher's certificate from Fairmont State College. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John R. Bunner; a son and spouse, evangelist Richard and Martha Bunner, of Lexington; a brother and spouse, Isaac and Lucille Knight, of Levels community; three sisters, Annabelle Tressler, of Fairmont, Inez Goodwin, of Wellsburg, and Juanita Kirk, of Kingmont; four grandchildren, Roger Bunner, of Bunner Ridge, Jonathan Bunner, of Mexico, Isaac Bunner, of Paducah, Ky., and Ruth Kelso, of Lexington, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leta Mae Myers, and two brothers in infancy. Kathryn Maxine Lough
Kathryn Maxine Lough, 84, of Route 1, Waverly, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Parkview Health Care, Parkersburg. She was born Aug. 23, 1915, at Fairview, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Anna Lizabeth Ammons Haught. She was a member of Washington Street Church of Christ, Fairview, and Parkersburg Sunrise Church of Christ. She is survived by a son, Glenn D. Lough, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Connie J. Lynch, of Waverly; three brothers, Stanley T. Haught, Gordon S. Haught, both of Fairview, and Donald Haught, of Fairmont; two sisters, Aldene Cooper, of McKeesport, Pa., and Betty Dours, of Fort Lauderdale; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Lough, April 29, 1989; a brother, Roy L. Haught, and a sister, Evelyn Hibbs. Helen B. Ringer Darby
Helen B. Ringer Darby, 79, of Cheat Lake, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, in Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Bruceton Mills, daughter of the late Jarva Franklin Ringer and Oca Blanche Liston Ringer. She attended Faith Assembly of God Church, in Uniontown, Pa. She is survived by her husband, Harry R. Darby; a son, Harry N. Darby, of Elyria, Ohio; a daughter and spouse, Twylia and Edward L. Pyles, of Clarksburg, Md.; two grandchildren, Christopher E. Pyles, of Frederick, Md. and Thomas M. Pyles, of Rockville, Md.; five great-grandchildren; three sisters and a spouse, Beulah P. and Willard Falkenstein, of Fairchance, Pa., Eileen Schnopp, of Tucson, Ariz., and Eloise Conway, of Confluence, Pa. Louis DeSantis
Louis DeSantis, 87, of Kingwood, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Preston Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 29, 1912, in Masontown, son of the late Pete and Jennie Adams DeSantis. Early in life, he worked at various mines as a coal miner, then was employed at Sterling Faucet Co. before retiring from Mercury Coal & Coke in Bretz. He was a member of the Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Kingwood. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Whitehair DeSantis; two sons and spouses, Joe and Mary DeSantis, of Montrose, and Louie and Lori DeSantis Jr., of Masontown; two daughters and spouses, Jennie and Jim Hileman, of Terra Alta, and Cathy Corley, of Kingwood; a sister, Catherine Pomponi, of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren and spouses, Joey DeSantis, Jimmie Hileman, Kevin DeSantis, Charles R. Hileman, Bobby and Darlene DeSantis, Randy Hileman, Rodney DeSantis, Billy Cavallier, Jason and Angie DeSantis, Junior and Lucinda Lewis, Mike Myer, Glenda DeWitt, Mary Lou DeSantis, Steven Ray DeSantis, Lauren DeSantis, Willie DeSantis; and four great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary Tripp, Dec. 25, 1973; a brother, Feliece DeSantis, on Feb. 3, 1971; and a sister, Mary DeSantis. Brinley Conner Forman
Brinley Conner Forman, 72, of New Hill Community, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at home after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Monongalia County, son of the late Roy Conner and Mable Thomas Forman. He was a graduate of the Romney School for the Deaf and Blind and a member of the Morgantown Deaf Club. He retired from Sterling Faucet in 1990 after 35 years. He was a member of the State Line Hunting Club. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joan Brooks Forman; two sons and spouses, Roy and Paula Forman, of Cheat Lake, Byron and Candy Forman, of New Hill; five grandchildren, Chad, Nicky, Ashley, Joey and Shara; a brother, Jack Forman, of Bradenton, Fla .; and two sisters, Sandra Curry, of Springtown, Texas, and Bobbie Etta Mercer, of Morgantown. Thressie B. Kirk
Thressie B. Kirk, 97, of Mountain Ridge Road, Morgantown, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Morgan Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born Aug. 12, 1902, in Richwood, daughter of the late James Matthew and Sarah Hamrick Payne. She was a homemaker. She was Baptist. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Jennings Kirk; a daughter, Dolly Hines McCarty; a son, Robert Lee Kirk; and a great-grandchild, Benjamin Kirk Switzer. Friends may call at Fred L. Opal L. Davis, 77, of Route 1, Fairview, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at home. She was born Sept. 25, 1922, at Hammond, daughter of the late Charles and Ocie Vincent Hartley. She was a former employee of Palace Restaurant, and a member of St. John's Methodist Church, at Bassnettsville. She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Davis; a brother, Arthur Hartley, of Fairmont; a sister, Ethel Davis, of Orlando, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jasper, Lester and Warren Hartley; and a sister, Clara Hartley.
