Ronald Wayne Jude, 57, of Beckley, WV, formerly of Kopperston, WV, passed away on Tuesday August
4, 2009. He was born April 18, 1952, at Rollins Branch, WV, a son of the late John and Nellie Maynard
Jude. He was a retired coal miner having worked for Eastern Associated Coal. His sister Betty Joyce
Lester also preceded him in death. Survivors include a sister Linda F. Yeager and husband Jeff of
Kopperston, WV; two brothers Donald Jude and wife Anna of Kopperston, WV and John Jeremy Jude and
wife Christy of Brenton, WV; six nieces and nephews Amber Jude, Blake Jude, Jeffery Wayne Yeager,
Matthew Yeager, Caden Jude and Billy Lester; along with a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral
services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday August 8, 2009 at the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral
Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Erwin Gregory and Rev. Oza Mullins, Jr. officiating. Ronald will be laid to rest
in Kopperston Community cemetery. Friends may gather with the family from 6 – 9:00 PM Friday
August 7, 2009 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jackie Buckland, Jeffery Wayne Yeager, Blake
Jude, Guy Brunty, Gary Miller and Jeremy Davis. Letters of sympathy may be sent to Stafford Family Funeral Home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
WV.

Carl “Curly” Edward Cook, of Oceana, WV formerly of Davin, WV, entered into eternal rest on August 3,
2009 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV following a long illness. He was born June 27, 1966 at
Logan, WV a son of Susan Cook Osborne and step-son of Roger Osborne of Oceana, WV. He was a
1984 graduate of Man High School, won a state championship in weight lifting and was an avid football
player. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Dale Earnhardt fan. He was preceded in death by his
maternal grandparents Raymond and Freda Collins Cook of Davin, WV and a brother Michael Scott Cook
also of Davin, WV. Survivors include his mother Susan Cook Osborne and step-father Roger Osborne of
Oceana, WV; a niece Kayla Cook of Logan and a nephew Michael Cook also of Logan; five step-sisters
Tammy Miller and husband Danny of Denver, NC, Sandra Blankenship and husband Danny of Oceana,
WV, Cheryl Lamb and husband Kenny of Oceana, WV, Monica Whitlock and husband Cubby of Kenna,
WV, Stephanie Cook and husband William of Oceana, WV; A host of aunts, uncles, step nieces and
nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday August 7, 2009 at the
Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. William Cook officiating. Curly will be
laid to rest beside his brother in the Claypool United Methodist Church cemetery. Friends may gather
with the family from 6 - 9:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. E-

Nita Maude Conley Cline, 87, of Lynco, WV passed away on Sunday August 2, 2009 at the Bower Hospice House
in Beckley, WV after a long battle with cancer. She was born November 12, 1921 in Clear Fork , WV, a daughter of
the late Dee and Nellie Bowden Conley. Mrs. Cline was a life long resident of Wyoming County and a homemaker.
During her lifetime she attended Baileysville Baptist Church and Joseph Baptist Church. Her husband of 68 years
Keith Harold Cline and a great granddaughter Megan Goodman also preceded her in death along with six brothers
Sterling, Jess, Andy, Phillip, Billy and Giles; three sisters Dulcie Hill, Jay Hazel and Dolly Brunty; and a half-brother
Euhl Acord. Survivors include three sons Harold Cline and wife Wilma of Lynco, WV, Toady Cline and wife Carolyn of
Clear Fork, WV and Roger Cline and wife Judy of Pineville, WV; three granddaughters Jennifer Goodman of Lynco,
WV, Becky Cassell and husband JW of Charlotte, NC and Brandy Cline of Pineville, WV; two grandsons Steven Cline
and wife Kim of Pineville, WV and Shane Cline of Clear Fork, WV; three great granddaughters Ashley Goodman and
Allyson and McKenzie Cassell and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 :00 PM on
Wednesday August 5, 2009 at the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco with the Rev. Hannibal
Blankenship, Jr. officiating. Nita will be laid to rest beside her husband in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
Friends may call from 6-9:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Grandsons and other family members will serve as
pallbearers. Letters of sympathy may be sent to Stafford Family Funeral Home.. The family is being
served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Edward D. "Ed" Bryant, 61 of Iaeger, WV, passed away at the residence of his daughter Kelli Roberts on Sunday
June 28, 2009. He was born October 31, 1947 a son of the late Ephe and Velda Steele Bryant of Horse Creek. He
was raised in Horse Creek and was a disabled coal miner. Ed loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the
House of Gethsemane, on Panther Iaeger Road. Five brothers Andy Bryant, Robert Bryant, Cecil Bryant, Charlie
Bryant and Hershel Bryant also preceded him in death along with a sister Francis Dillon. Left to grieve his
departure is his loving wife of 40 years Sandra Collins Bryant; two daughters Kristina Smith and husband Chuck
and Kelli Roberts and husband Eddie with whom he resided; four granddaughters Ashley and Kimberly Scarberry of
Panther and Dana and Christiana Roberts of Iaeger, WV; five brothers James Bryant and wife Loraine of Iaeger,
WV, Curtis Bryant and wife Darlene of Hanover, WV, Hartsel Bryant and wife Barbara of Roderfield, WV, Hansel
Bryant of Kendiville, IN and Riley Bryant of the home; a sister Bertha Branham of Oceana, WV; a special
brother-in-law Eugene Reed of Hanover, WV, who would help him go shopping; A very special and devoted friend
whom he dearly loved Richard Cline of Panther, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday July 2, 2009 at the House of Gethsemane, on
Iaeger-Panther Road, with Pastor Kedar Hunt officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Charlie William Memorial
cemetery in Hanover, WV. Friends may call after 5:00 PM at the church on Wednesday. Letters of sympathy
may be sent to Stafford Family Funeral Home.. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral
Home, Oceana, WV.

Patricia Sue Stewart Prine, 64, of Matheny, WV, passed away on Friday June 19, 2009 at Raleigh General
Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born October 29, 1944, in Jesse, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Gillis and
Minnie Edna Walker Stewart. Family preceding her in death includes four brothers Charles, Neely, Johnny and Cecil
Stewart; two brothers-in-law Ray Shields and James R. Cline; a sister-in-law Pauline Stewart; and two step daughters
Robin and Carrie Prine. She was a retired beautician and attended the Matheny United Methodist Church. Survivors
include three sisters Violet Shields, Gladys Lusk and husband Buren and Hazel Cline; two brothers Sebert Stewart
and wife Maureen and Billy Jack Stewart and wife Diana; a sister-in-law Cora Stewart; ex-husband and friend Clifford
“Jeff” Prine; two step children Russell Prine and Kimberly Prine; nieces and nephews Keith Stewart, Lisa Goins, Ricky
Stewart, Allen Stewart, Shirley Burns, Chuck Stewart, David Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Denise Meadows, Regina
Redden, Rhonda Miller, Mike Shields, Tommy Lusk, Sherry Edwards, Teresa Shumate, Tammy Stafford and Kim
Osborne; and a host of other loving family and friends. Her request was to be cremated, a memorial will be held at 1:
00 PM Wednesday June 24, 2009 at the Matheny United Methodist Church with Rev. Dwight Stafford officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Stewart cemetery with her parents. Letters of sympathy may be sent to Stafford Family Funeral Home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Julius Dale “JD” Holmes, 66, of Oceana, WV passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2009 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. JD was born on July 24, 1942 in Clear Fork, WV a son of the late Arlie Holmes and Lillian Griffith Elkins. He was a US Army Veteran and a machinist. His daughter Mary Gina Dawn Holmes-Grant also preceded him in death. Survivors include two sisters Anna Smith of Oceana, WV and a half-sister Linda Lafferty of Fairdale, WV; two half-brothers Frankie Ottway Elkins and Ernest Lee Elkins both of Oceana, WV; two grandsons Matthew and Bradley Gilley; and a host of other loving family and friends. JD will be cremated according to his wishes and his cremains will be scattered at a later date in one of his favorite places. There will be no services. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
WV.

Windle Ross Tolliver, 26, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Friday June 5, 2009 at Memorial Division of Charleston Area Medical Center. He was born August 26, 1982 in Mullens, WV, a son of the late Jessie William Tolliver and Annabell Harden George. Survivors include his two children Laken Brooke and Kyle Gerrick Tolliver; wife Amanda Jean McMillon Tolliver; two sisters Shelia Ann Shrader and husband Mark of Princeton, WV and Evelyn K. Kenneda and husband Okey of Oceana, WV; four brothers Harold Lee Morgan and wife Judy of Princeton, WV, Joe Tolliver and wife Rebecca of Baileysville, WV, Baretta Tolliver and wife Maretta of Oceana, WV and Wayne Tolliver and wife Alicia of Pineville, WV; step-father James George; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday June 9, 2009 at the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Minister Richard Massey and Bro Timmy Massey officiating. Windle will be laid to rest in Cook cemetery, Lynco, WV. Friends may gather with the family from noon until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help cover funeral expenses at any First Community Bank location or the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Joann Edith Gibson Crouse, 57, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness. Joann was born on February 5, 1952 at Lorado, WV a daughter of the late Hillard Lee and Lessie Osborne Gibson. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Six siblings Freeman, Delma, Dewey, Roger, Lacy and Ullie Gibson also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Way To The Cross Ladies Ministry and the Lynco Pentecostal House of Prayer. Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years Robert Kenneth Crouse; two daughters Elaine Victoria Acord and husband Wayne of Mullens and Melissa Sue Crouse of Lillydale; a son James Adam Crouse and wife Cindy of Silo Hollow, WV; Four grandchildren Jennifer Acord, Austin and Brianna Forrest and Robert Crouse, Jr.; two brothers David (Ann) Gibson and and Calvin (Mitch) Gibson all of Lorado, WV; five sisters Nellie Cook of Kopperston, WV, Dovie (Bill) Lycan of Lorado, WV, Annabell Crouse of Silo Hollow, WV, Wilma Lee Dson of Lorado, WV and Judy (Delbart) Nichols of Greenwood, WV; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday June 5, 2009 at the Lynco Pentecostal House of Prayer with Ministers Debbie Price and Scotty Elswick officiating. Joann will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 – 10:00 PM on Thursday at the church. Pallbearers will be Brandon Wallace, Keith Cline, Roman, Greg, Stevie and Emory Crouse. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
