Virgil Junior "Junie" Belcher, 71, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at his home following a long illness. He was born on January 17, 1944 in Clear Fork, WV a son of the late Virgil and Ruie Cook Belcher. He enjoyed ginsenging, deer hunting and fishing. He loved sitting in the swing on his front porch and visiting with his family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Donald Gene and Ronald "Boe" Belcher and two sisters Marie Rakes and Freda Steele. Those left to cherish his memories are his four brothers Kenneth (Drema) Belcher, Danny (Heather) Belcher, James (Jenny) Belcher and Anthony Ray Belcher all of Clear Fork; two sisters Margaret Steele and Carol (James) Maynor both of Clear Fork; a brother-in-law Harold Steele; a sister-in-law Dianna Belcher; several nieces, nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Tuesday January 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jerry McCoy officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of service on Tuesday January 19, 2016 at the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Dallas Augusta Maynard, 82, of Jesse, WV passed away on Saturday January 16, 2016 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on June 2, 1933 in Naoma, WV a daughter of the late Alba and Nello (Dickens) Hendricks. Dallas was a member of the Guyandotte Baptist Church of Jesse. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, her daily puzzles, her flower gardens and above all spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers Eugene and Joe Hendricks; a daughter Edith Lusk; and a grandson Terry Wayne Daniels. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years Oliver Leo Maynard; her children Frankie and Mary Canterbury of Oceana, Susan and Greg Sluss of Kopperston, Michael and Susie Canterbury of Oceana and Lynn and Terry Daniels of Matheny; her grandchildren Angie and Jeff Dunigon, Chris and Brandi Canterbury, Jeremy and Kiera Daniels, Rebecca and Matt Adams, Carrie Good, Sunny and Ben Cook, Matt Sluss and Sasja Canterbury; her great grandchildren Corey, Casey and Chloe Davis, Angel, Celia and Legacy Good, Jackson Moore, Reese Adams, Carolyn and Rebecca Daniels and Hudson Cook, ; brothers Kenneth and Tom Hendricks; sisters Betty Walker, Patricia Rye, Dorn McLaughlin, Barbara Devanna and Darlene Novakowski; many nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday January 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Dalley Maynard officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at the funeral home. Johnny Andrew Harman, 66, of Matheny, WV passed away on Monday January 18, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on January 3, 1950 the son of the late John and Gladys Green Harman. Johnny was self employed and proudly had his own contracting business, Harman Construction, Inc. He has left behind many displays of his talent and skill with carpentry. He was a perfectionist and a truly talented and gifted man who could create beauty with a hammer and nail. His work shall live on even though he is no longer with us. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years Ramona Kaye Harman; a daughter Jessica Phillips of Pineville; a son Michael Shawn Browning and wife Stephanie of Shady Spring; two brothers David Harman, Sr. and William "Billy" Harman both of Panama City Beach, FL; a sister Joyce Harman; and a host of other loving Family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday January 21, 2016 at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV with Pastor Bill Goode officiating. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Margaret Ann "Jinky" St. Onge, 85, of Matheny, WV passed away on Saturday January 23, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on July 26, 1930 in Rich Creek, VA a daughter of the late Homer Everett and Louise Frances Ganoe Stable. She was a member of the Toneda Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Theodore Digiacomo St. Onge. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Nyoka "Gail" Crouse, 67, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Monday January 25, 2016 at her home. She was born on October 31, 1948 in Big Branch Mountain, WV a daughter of the late Herman Crozier and Lula Esma Spicer Bailey. Gail was a member of the Brenton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Brenda Joyce Bailey. Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 48 years Johnny Lee Crouse; three sons Brian Crouse of Timberville, VA, Stephen Crouse of Clear Fork and Danny Crouse of Huntersville, NC; a sister Pamela (Jerry) Helmandollar of Abraham, WV; a brother Carl (Helen) Bailey of Malden, Mass; nine grandchildren Stephen Crouse II, Emily Egan, Kelsey Crouse, Joseph Crouse, David Crouse, Phillip Crouse, MaryGrace Crouse, Levi Crouse and Logan Crouse; a great grandchild Keegan Thomas; a cousin Paula Odell who was like a sister; best friend Rose Stiltner who helped her through all the hard times; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday January 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Michael Knotts, Rev. Tommy Knotts and Rev. Jerry Helmandollar officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Thursday January 28, 2016 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Southern WV. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Sharon Kay Shipman, 59, of Pineville, WV passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at the St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born on October 29, 1956 in Wilmington, OH a daughter of the late Roy and Rose Whitaker McElroy. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter Bianca Hale. Survivors include a son Ronald Jason McElroy; four grandchildren Alexis Braun, Lacy McElroy, Logan McElroy and Kyler McElroy; three sisters JoAnn Ditchen, Lisa Ellis and Janelle Hadley; two brothers Donald McElroy and Gary McElroy; and a host of other loving family and friends. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in Oregonia, OH. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

David Jamal Crawford, 33, of Oceana, WV passed away on Wednesday December 23, 2015. He was born on April 2, 1982 in Moore County, NC, a son of James Edward Livingston of South Pines, NC and the late Brenda Faye Crawford. Survivors include four daughters Eyuna, Shyinell, Samira and Shanya; two sons David Jr. and Elijah; a sister Alaia Crawford; a brother Dermaine Livingston; and a host of other loving family and friends. He will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in Southern Pines, NC. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

John Lewis Lafferty, 71, of McGraws, WV passed away on Sunday January 24, 2016 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on February 14, 1944 in Ravencliff, WV a son of Lacy and Agnes Trump Lafferty. John was a United States Navy Veteran, lifetime member of the VFW and a 1963 graduate of Glen Rogers High School. He was adored and respected by friends and family. John loved his community, and founded friends of Milam Creek, a community group dedicated to making our neighborhood a better place. Three things can be said of John; He loved God, his wife and children, he worked hard, and was a man of his word. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Roy Lafferty, Lacy M. Lafferty and sisters Rosa Shumate, Jane Shinn, Marie George and Ruby Stock and son in-law Kevin Stambaugh. He is survived by his wife Dorothy H. Shumate Lafferty; his daughters Dvon Duncan, Donna (Brian) Burner, Evelyn Stambaugh; sons Ken (Gail) Duncan, Brett (Shannan) Duncan, and John (Linda) Lafferty II; John was blessed with thirteen grandchildren Amanda Fulk, Beth Duncan, Roy Duncan, Tiffany Duncan, Destiny Massey, Chelsea Duncan, Joshua Fullam, Jordan Fullam, Jared Fullam, Hannah Stambaugh, Andrew Stambaugh, Blayne Hill and Julia Lafferty; he also had ten great grandchildren; brothers Ira Lafferty and Darrell Lafferty; sisters Garnet Coleman and Ella Schreiber; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends. Family will gather at 10:00 AM on Thursday January 28, 2016 at the Church of God, Ravencliff, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Thursday January 28, 2016 at the church. A celebration of John's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday January 28, 2016 at the Church of God, Ravencliff, WV with Sister Frances Ann Hill officiating. He will be laid to rest in Lafferty cemetery, Ravencliff, WV. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites. Sherry Ann Tapscott Simpson, 58, of Clear Fork, WV left this world to walk with Jesus and her family who preceded her on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at her home. She was born on March 17, 1957 in Morgan County, AL a daughter of Audrey Jean Terrell Tapscott of Arab, AL and the late Roy Clyde Tapscott. Sherry is a member of the Clear Fork Church of God. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Elmer Lee "Pete" Simpson and a sister Michelle Wilson. In addition to her mother survivors include two daughters Christina Jones of Bowling Green, FL and Carol (Jerry) Rose of Kopperston; a son Michael (Melinda) Simpson of Charlotte, NC; three sisters Mardette Toler of Arab, AL, Charlotte Tapscott of Arab, AL and Kim (JD) Cook of Morgan County, AL; two brothers Roy (Debbie) Tapscott of Warrior, AL and Joe (Missy) Tapscott Raleigh-Durham, NC; two grandchildren Tyler (Katelyn) Toler and Jordan (Rodney) Kirkendoll; a great granddaughter Emma Kirkendoll; a close friends Wayne and Pam Kennedy; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday January 30, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Hannibal Blankenship, Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest in Toler cemetery, Clear Fork, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM on Saturday January 30, 2016 until time of service at the funeral home. Mary Elizabeth Short Stewart, 83, of North Dinwiddie, VA formerly of Matheny, WV passed away on Wednesday January 27, 2016 at her home. She was born March 17, 1932 in Mallory, WV a daughter of the late Aulbert and Mila Cline Short. Mary was a member of the Matoaca Baptist Church and the Matheny Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Isaac Maurice Bailey; second husband Jess Stewart; and two sisters Mabel and Athlene. Survivors include two daughters Diana Bailey of Dinwiddie, VA and Nance Zymantas of Chicago, IL; four sons Glenn Bailey of Chesterfield, VA, Randy Bailey of Chicago, IL, Larry (Janet) Bailey of Chicago, IL and David Bailey of Columbus, OH; a sister Violet (Stanley) Stone of Lexington, NC; a brother Ronnie Short of Lexington, NC; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday January 31, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Michael Dent officiating. She will be laid to rest in Claypool Hill cemetery, Davin, WV. Friends may gather with the family from Noon until time of service on Sunday January 31, 2016 at the funeral home. William Wyatt Baker, Jr., 78, of Saulsville, WV died on Wednesday January 27, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on September 24, 1937 in Dagsboro, DE a son of the late William W., Sr. and Kathryn Mitchell Baker. William was a longtime minister of Jehovah's Witnesses. After spending their younger years in their home state of DE they retired and moved to WV where they lived for the last 26 years. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Connie Smith Baker; two sons David W. (Susie) Baker of Mayfield, KY and Mark L. Baker of Bridgeville, DE; two sisters Bonnie K. (Lynn) Bullock of Millsboro, DE and Beth (Bryce) Collins of Millsboro, DE; two sister-in-laws Babs Smith Jessen of Georgetown, DE and Susan Smith (Keith) Jones Lyman, ME; a daughter of the heart Peggy J. (David) Oren of Saulsville; a granddaughter of the heart Michaela Oren of Saulsville; and a host of other loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday Jan. 31, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Welch, WV with Mr. David Oren officiating. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. Freda Mae Massey Blankenship, 76, of Oceana, WV passed away on January 29, 2016 at the McDowell Nursing and Rehab, Gary, WV. She was born on October 31, 1939 in Sunhill, WV a daughter of the late Hicks and Martha Lambert Massey. Freda was the last survivor of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Bruce Blankenship, Jr.; two daughters Tina Toler and Lisa Hall; brothers Ed Massey, Junior Hicks Massey, Lee Massey, Bill Massey and Ralph Cook; sisters Sue Belcher, Dollie Rollins and Hannah Cook. Survivors include Two sons Ricky (Valerie) Blankenship of Lynco and Tommy (Ella Mae) Blankenship of Kopperston; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday February 1, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jesse Cline and Rev. Steve Massey officiating, In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
