Lena T. Carter
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Lena Thompson Carter, 89, died Sunday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating.
Mrs. Carter was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a retired nurse and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Harris and Marie Evans, both of Fayetteville; one sister, Kathleen Barnes of Fayetteville; two brothers, Robert Thompson of Fayetteville and Horace Thompson of Dellrose, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Duane J. Ducote Jr.
MADISON - Duane Joseph Ducote Jr., 19, died Sunday. Burial will be in Jonesboro, La., with Spry Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Ducote was a native of Jonesboro, was a resident of Madison for one year and had worked at Kroger.
Survivors include his mother, Deborah Hightower of Madison; his father, Duane J. Ducote Jr. of Plaucheville, La.; his stepmother, Amy Ducote of Plaucheville; four brothers, Darrell Ducote of Madison and Justin Ducote, Logan Ducote and Lance Ducote, all of Plaucheville; grandmother, Mary Thibodeaux of Bunkie, La.; grandparents, the Rev. Jackie and Linda Hightower of Jonesboro; step-grandfather, Ervin Thibodeaux of Bunkie, La.

Melissa A. George
ATHENS - Melissa Ann George, 28, of East Limestone Road died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Ray Pettit and Marty Stafford officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery.
Mrs. George was a native of Lima, Ohio, and worked at SCI.
Survivors include four daughters, Malinda Kay George Reams, Samantha Sue Bayes, Sarah Jane George Reams and Dustie Rose George Reams, all of Athens; her parents, Loran O. and Patricia Alexander George of Lima, Ohio; one sister, Cynthia Ellen George of Ardmore, Ala.; one brother, Loran Matthew George of Lima; one grandmother, Vivian George of Delphos, Ohio; and a friend, Eddie Lankford of Athens.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jewell W. Hayes
Jewell Wayne Hayes, 56, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Hayes was a native of Hopkinsville, Ky., and was a Vietnam veteran. He had recently moved to Huntsville from Marion, Ind.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Hayes, Jewell W. Hayes Jr. and Tim Hayes, all of Huntsville; one brother, Danny Hayes of Marion, Ind.; and three grandchildren.

Andrew G. Lake
Andrew George Lake, infant son of Kevin and Tara Lake of Huntsville, died Sunday at a local hospital. The memorial service was to be today at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dorothy Ann Webster officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Other survivors include two sisters, Jessica Oakes of Newport News, Va., and Miranda Lake of Madison; one brother, Austin Lake of Madison; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Judy Sims of Huntsville; paternal grandmother, Judy Walker of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Visitation was to be today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Tommie C. Lee
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Tommie Cecil Lee, 83, died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Flintville Cemetery.
Mr. Lee was a farmer in Flintville and had driven a Lincoln County school bus for 20 years. He was music director at Stewaris Chapel Baptist Church for 10 years and was deacon and music director at Gum Springs Baptist Church for 30 years. He was a member of West End Baptist Church for seven years and sang bass with several gospel groups for more than 60 years.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Ann Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Lee of Fayetteville; three daughters, Barbara Willene Spray, Earlene Pickett and Billie Scott, all of Fayetteville; one son, Danny M. "Mickey" Lee of Fayetteville; one brother, Girlie Lee of Tullahoma, Tenn.; one sister, Nell Lee Steelman of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln County Hospice, 700 West Maple St., Fayetteville, Tenn., 37334, or to West End Baptist Church, 200 North Morgan St., Fayetteville, 37334.

Lela B. Liles
RAINSVILLE - Lela Belle Liles, 98, died Sunday at a Marshall County hospital. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion Church with the Rev. Verlon Stiefel and the Rev. Randall Lyles officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Hilley of Sylvania and Lou Vinnie Hilley of Grove Oak; three sons, Juel Liles of Rainsville, Verlon Liles of Grove Oak and Charles D. Liles of Shiloh; and 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren, eight step-great-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-great-grandchild.

Marty W. Martin
ALBERTVILLE - Marty Wayne Martin, 39, of 1207 Harper St. died Sunday in Henderson, Ky. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his parents, Billie Nichols and George Martin, both of Albertville; two sisters, Deborah Lovelady of Albertville and Dedra Baggett of Hoover; and grandmother, Lovella Daniel of Albertville.

Walter McCain
Walter McCain, 94, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be at O.R. Woodyard Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio.
Spry Funeral Home will be in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline McCain of Huntsville; one daughter, Turyle Saddler; two sisters, Della Gary of Westerville, Ohio, and Cleo Furguson of Circleville, Ohio; and one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters.

William Moore III
William "Bill" Moore III, 57, of 2225 Villaret Drive died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Petersburg, Tenn., with the Rev. Don Stone and Coy Hallmark officiating.
McCauley Funeral Home of Petersburg will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore was a native of Marshall County, Tenn., and was an aircraft coordinator at Marshall Space Flight Center. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Huntsville.
Survivors include one brother, Ray Moore of Petersburg; and several cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church two hours before the funeral.

Nathan T. Mordecai
Nathan Taft Mordecai, 91, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local nursing home. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Dewdle Funeral Home chapel in Millport with Berkley Webb and James White officiating.
Mr. Mordecai was a native of Lamar County and had lived in Huntsville since 1991. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was a mason.
Survivors include one son, Wade Mordecai of Huntsville; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lakewood Baptist Church maintenance fund.

Jewel Naler
FLINT, Mich. - Jewel Naler, 87, died Friday in Michigan. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lusches Naler, and one son, Orvil Naler.
Survivors include two sons, Donald M. Naler and LeVearne L. Naler; one daughter, Ovell Friend; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Karen Norman
MADISON - Karen Norman, 45, of 112 Sunset Trail died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alan Weatherly and the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Madison Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Norman was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Samford University. She had been a registered nurse for 22 years and had worked for North Alabama Home Health Care Services for more than 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Norman of Madison; one son, Matthew Norman of Madison; three daughters, Katie Norman, Laura Norman and Holly Norman, all of Madison; her mother, Kay Holland of Madison; two sisters, Lisa Holland of Huntsville and Barbara Kahalekai of Madison; and one brother, David Hand of Huntsville.
Memorial donations may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church Youth Ministries.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Fred A. Parker
Fred A. Parker, 88, of 2004 Max Luther Drive died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral home in Hartselle. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Rest Haven Mausoleum in Clarksville, Ky.
Mr. Parker was a native of Warrior and was raised in Hartselle, was a boiler operator for 30 years for B.F. Goodrich and was a resident of Clarksville for 50 years.
Survivors include two sons, John T. Parker of Huntsville and Freddie R. Parker of Kenosha, Wis.; three sisters, Zelma Lake of Birmingham, Nina Brown and Edith Maples, both of Hartselle; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Victoria P. Randall
Victoria P. Randall, 42, of Huntsville died Monday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Randall was a native of Darlington, Wis., and had lived in Tulsa, Okla., Norfolk, Va., and Atlanta before moving to Huntsville in 1994. She graduated from Clemson University in 1978 with a degree in management. She later received a masters degree in management information systems from Old Dominion University and became a master gardener. She was active in Huntsville Figure Skating Club, Huntsville/Madison County Botanical Garden and many school functions.
Survivors include her husband, Lanier Randall of Huntsville; two daughters, Rachel Randall and Charlotte Randall, both of Huntsville; her parents, Ed and Marilyn Pasco of Washington, Ga.; one brother, Doug Pasco of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Barbara Laymon of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Childrens Advocacy Center or to Temple Israel preschool in Tulsa, Okla.

Wayne D. Robinson
Wayne Dennis Robinson, 35, of Huntsville died Saturday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Billy Loveday officiating.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Robinson and Harley Robinson, both of Ohatchee; his parents, Dennis and Jean Robinson of Cary, N.C.; two sisters, Debbie Gow of Medane, N.C., and Karen Robinson of Cary; one brother, Kevin Robinson of Ramsey, Minn.; and one grandmother, Helen Robinson of Littleton, N.C.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Christa C. Roundtree
Christa Christine Roundtree, 41, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. G.W. Lindsey Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Roundtree was a native of Germany and had lived in Huntsville two years. She worked for Shell Oil Co. as manager of the station at Blue Spring Road and Sparkman Drive.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin E. Roundtree of Huntsville; two daughters, Kim Lucretia Roundtree and Christieen Roundtree, both of Huntsville; three sons, Timo Sven Roundtree, Mike Rudi Roundtree and Mark Henry Roundtree, all of Huntsville; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudi Groschke of Germany; and two sisters, Pia Lavrenze and Anke Hoeger, both of Germany.

Leroy E. Scott
Leroy Edward Scott, 76, of Huntsville, died Sunday at a local veterans home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur with the Rev. Roger Cooper officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Mr. Scott was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include four daughters, Chris Sandlin of Decatur, Margaret Kelley, Paulette Magnum and Rita Craft, all of Decatur; one son, Eddie Scott of Huntsville; and 13 grandchildren.

Cleo Scruggs
ROSSVILLE, Ga. - Cleo Scruggs, 59, died Sunday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Rev. George Maynor officiating.
Burial was to be in Old Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Vinson of Jasper, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was to be today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Franklin D. Smalley
ALBERTVILLE - Franklin D. Smalley, 63, of 950 Highland Ave. died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Beulah Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Smalley; three daughters, Alice F. Smalley of Georgia, Elizabeth G. Smalley of Missouri and Carol L. Vaughn of Boaz; three sons, Franklin Dale Smalley of Kilpatrick, Jack W. Smalley of Georgia and Billy R. Smalley of Albertville; one sister, Nora B. Shockey of Albertville; two brothers, Claude Smalley of Albertville and Gordon Smalley of Skyline; and 16 grandchildren.

Johnny O. Stewart
ATHENS - Johnny Olsen Stewart, 52, of Neely Road died Monday at his home. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Parkers Chapel Cemetery.
Spry Funeral Home of Athens will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Stewart was a native of Limestone County, was employed by Burgreen Construction Co. and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Anthony Stewart of Athens and Thomas Edward Stewart of Elkmont; four sisters, Martha Harvard of Augusta, Ga., Faye Boll of Arab, Ann Blizzard of Chicago and Jane Williams of Huntsville; one brother, Charles R. Martin of Sevierville, Tenn.; and nieces and nephews.

Herman Webb
DUTTON - Herman Webb, 65, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Carson officiating. Burial was to be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Mitchell Webb of Dutton; three sisters, Inez Rice of Dutton, Sybil Adkins of Scottsboro and Jean Dover of Illinois; and three brothers, Randy Webb and V.M. Webb, both of Dutton, and Junior Webb of Eldorado, Ill.
