Dossie O. Abernathy
ARDMORE, Tenn. - Dossie Ovella Abernathy, 79, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Randall Hammock officiating.
Burial will be in Higgins Cemetery.
Mrs. Abernathy was a native of Limestone County, a member of ONeal Church of Christ amd a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one son, Solotus Tunstill.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Powell of Tanner; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Lenell Allen
Lenell Allen, 62, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a Nashville hospital. the funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Benjamin Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Malinda Allen of Huntsville; three sons, Lenell Allen Jr. of Lawton, Okla., Pastor Raynard Allen of Memphis, Tenn., and Darren L. Allen of Huntsville; one daughter, Glenda Renee Allen of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Irene Hopkins of Isola, Miss.; one brother, Roosevelt Hopkins of Chicago; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Johnson Beasley Jr.
Johnson Beasley Jr., 60, of 6213 Valley Park Drive died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Blackburn Chapel C.P. Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Beasley was a member of Blackburn Chapel C.P. Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Beasley of Huntsville; four daughters, Margot Beasley Brackett, Carlotta E. Beasley and Liana K. Beasley, all of Huntsville, and Alicia Rondeau of Detroit, Mich.; three sons, John Earl Miller of Chapel Hill, N.C., Johnson Beasley III of Canton, Ohio, and Lance K. Beasley of Akron, Ohio; his father, Johnson Beasley Sr., of Huntsville; two sisters, Radiyah El-Fil and Margo De Ramus, both of Detroit; one brother, Kevin Rodney Beasley of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Loyal E. Campbell
Loyal E. Campbell, 65, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Otis Graves officiating.
Mr. Campbell was a native of Cullman County and had lived in Huntsville 35 years. He was the former owner and operator of House of Typewriters. He was also a Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Candace Campbell of Huntsville; one son, Jeremy Woodley of Huntsville; one daughter, Erica Woodley of Huntsville; two brothers, Cleo Campbell of Cullman and Currmitt Campbell of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrylene Brown of Cullman and Nella Wilcutt of Gardendale.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kenneth Cantrell
Kenneth Cantrell of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Phillip B. Clines
GRANT - Phillip Barry Clines, 45, of 233 Kennamer Road died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Williams Catholic Church in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Mr. Clines was a past president and lifetime member of the Jaycees. He was employed as a telephone cable repairman for about 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Clines; two sons, Nathan Clines of Guntersville and Josh Clines of Grant; one stepdaughter, Amber Kirkland of Grant; and parents, Dewey and Mary Clines of Albertville.
Visitation will be today at 6 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Tom Dozier Sr.
Tom Dozier Sr., 91, of Huntsville died today at his home. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Myrtle L. Glover
Myrtle Louise Glover, 82, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Stone officiating.
Burial will be in Neals Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Glover was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Big Cove Holiness Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Layne of Owens Cross Roads and Helda Powell of Huntsville; one son, Bobby Glover of Newport News, Va.; one brother, Ezell Pinkerton of Meridianville; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 3:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Will Jacobs
GUNTERSVILLE - Will Jacobs, 85, of 5295 Wyeth Mountain Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was in Unity Cemetery.
Survivors include three sisters, Lillie Mae Sherrell and Icy Bell McDougal, both of Gadsden, and Minnie Scott of Georgia.

James E. Littles
James Earl "Penny" Littles, 54, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Big Shiloh P.B. Church with the Rev. Woodrow Kirby officiating.
Burial was to be in Royal Cemetery in Madison with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie Littles of Madison; one sister, Barbara Sykes of Huntsville; and three brothers, John Littles and I.W. Harris, both of Madison, and David Lee Harris of Pulaski, Tenn.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Ruth McKey
KENT, Wash. - Ruth McKey, 68, formerly of Madison, died Saturday. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sonny Kirk officiating.
Burial was in Madison City Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry T. McCarley of Kent, formerly of Madison; three sisters, Sarah L. Hays of Port Naches, Texas, Mary L. Lloyd of Waterloo, Iowa, and June Hartness of Coral Gables, Fla.; two brothers, Cecil Bryan of Ferndale, N.Y., and Wendel Bryan of Brookshire, Texas; and two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

Brue S. Naugher
ARDMORE, Tenn. - Brue Seal Naugher, 69, of 30411 Sims St. died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Royal Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Theodis Acklin officiating.
Burial will be in St. Ruth Cemetery in Hazel Green with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Woods of Ardmore, Tenn., and Evon Hurt of Harvest; seven sisters, Mildred Everson, Gearldine Pruitt, Arnetta Grays and Irene Sanderson, all of Huntsville, Sophia Watts of Birmingham, Pauline Stinson of Youngstown, Ohio, and Gladys Corine Saffell of Knoxville, Tenn.; two brothers, Harry Conely Jr. and Robert Conely, both of Huntsville; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ralph Norman
ELORA, Tenn. - Ralph Norman, 76, of Cranford Road died Wednesday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Revs. Danny Bell and Charles Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Flintville Cemetery.
Mr. Norman was a native of Lincoln County, a member of Stewarts Chapel Baptist Church, a retired Amana Corp. employee and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia McAnally Norman of Elora; one son, Randy Norman of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mary Gardner of Elora; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

George R. Rennicks
George Ralph Rennicks, 49, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The graveside service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Twickenham Memory Gardens with Bro. Jerry Sims officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Home South will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Rennicks was a member of Weatherly Road Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Irene Rennicks of Huntsville; one brother, John W. Rennicks of Huntsville; and one nephew.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edith G. Rousseau
Edith Gentle Rousseau, 70, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Gene Smith
HARVEST - Gene Smith, 54, of 107 Springside Path died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was Thursday at Wall Highway Baptist Church with the Rev. Sonny Kirk officiating.
Burial was in Richardson Chapel Cemetery in Lexington with Madison Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Smith was a native of Lauderdale County and had lived in Huntsville 13 years. He worked at ALFA Insurance Co. and was a member of Wall Highway Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Smith of Harvest; four sons, Doug Smith and Michael Smith, both of Florence, Dale Kilgore of Nashville and Tommy Bates of Huntsville; one daughter, Lorri Crumpton of Huntsville; his mother, Lorene Smith of Green hill; four sisters, Linda Green of Chattanooga, Della Hughes of Peoria, Ill., Dianne Fisher of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Lottie Williamson of Misawaka, Ind.; two brothers, Doyle Smith of Green hill and Gaylon Smith of Clarksville, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or to the Wall Highway Baptist Church.

William G. Spaulding
JOSEPHINE - William Graham Spaulding, 66, died Tuesday at an area hospital. The memorial service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Josephine Baptist Church in Elberta.
Mr. Spaulding worked 25 years for U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal and Phase Four.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Spaulding of Josephine; one daughter, Sue Key of Birmingham; one son, Mark Spaulding of Arlington, Texas; and two grandchildren and two nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Josephine Baptist Church.

Lillie B. Sullivan
Lillie Burwell Sullivan, 72, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Bartley P.B. Church with Elder Johnny Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Big Cove Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Sullivan retired as a nurse at Huntsville Hospital after working there 40 years. An award, called the Lillie B. Sullivan LPN of the Year award, was established in her honor. She was also a member of Liberty P.B. Church and the Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burgess Barrett Sullivan.
Survivors include five daughters, Cheryl Sullivan of Atlanta, Phyllis Sullivan of Raleigh, N.C., Cynthia Shanklin and Burgess Denise James, both of Huntsville, and Marva Sullivan Lucas of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four sons, Walter K. Sullivan of Huntsville, Wayne B. Sullivan of Muscle Shoals, James L. Sullivan of Memphis, Tenn., and Delano Fitzgerald Sullivan of Birmingham; her stepmother, Naomi Burwell of Huntsville; five sisters, Mary Craighead and Anne Moore, both of Huntsville, and Ruth Burwell, Betty Hyter and Cora Reed, all of Michigan; two brothers, James Burwell and Robert Burwell, both of Michigan; two stepsisters, Elizabeth Smith and Carolyn Tolbert, both of Huntsville; and 35 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Stella M. Talley
SCOTTSBORO - Mrs. Stella Mae Talley, 86, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Rudder Funeral Home with the Revs. Erby Shankles and J.D. Golden officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Mrs. Talley was a native of Jackson County and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Johnson of Scottsboro; five sons, Bill Talley of Gulf Shores, Gary Talley of Fort Payne and Pleasey Talley, Gene Talley and Bo Talley, all of Scottsboro; one sister, Anna Pearl Smith of Scottsboro; two brothers, Billy Jim Dunn and Bill Dunn, both of Scottsboro; and 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 2:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joel L. Watson
HARTSELLE - Joe L. Watson, 70, of Kyle Road died Monday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. W.G. Henry officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Watson retired from Redstone Arsenal where he had been a supervisory equipment specialist and Nike missile maintenance with the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet Jean Robinson Watson; one daughter, Andrea L. Linebaugh of Arkansas; two sisters, Mona J. Adkins of Atwater, Calif., and Billie J. Campbell of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and three grandchildren.

Robert D. Word Sr.
SCOTTSBORO - Robert D. Word Sr., 87, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Scottsboro United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Survivors include one son, Robert D. Word Jr. of Scottsboro; one grandson, Robert D. Word III of Scottsboro; and one granddaughter, Emily Word Moody of Huntsville; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at his sons home at 254 Pinepoint Road in Scottsboro.
