Caroline P. Barrett
Caroline Powell Barrett, 20, of Huntsville died Sunday in Atlanta. The funeral is today at 1:30 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Dalton B. Styes officiating.
Burial is in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Miss Barrett was a 1996 Huntsville High School graduate and was attending college in Atlanta. She was an honor student.
Survivors include her mother, Donna Barrett Schremser of Huntsville; her father, Thomas Powell Barrett of Roswell, Ga.; her stepfather, Robert Schremser of Huntsville; her stepmother, Terri Barrett of Roswell, Ga.; one sister, Hannah Elizabeth Schremser of Huntsville; two brothers, Thomas Joseph "T.J." Barrett and Alex Barrett, both of Roswell; and her grandparents, Helen Thompson of Tampa, Fla., and Florence and Marshall Barrett of Millington, Tenn.; step-grandmother, Annie Pearl Schremser of St. Cloud, Fla.
Memorial donations may be made to Huntsville/Madison County Public Library, P.O. Box 443, Huntsville, 35804.

Teresa A. Battle
Teresa A. Battle, 50, of 3300 Deerfield Road died Saturday in Huntsville. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Survivors include one daughter, Marketa Clay of Huntsville; two sons, Derrell Clay and Jonathan Battle, both of Huntsville; one sister, Jewell Bibbs of Detroit; one brother, David C. Cullins of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.

Charles Bodine
ARAB - Charles Bodine, 73, died Monday at his home. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Gober Funeral Home of Arab in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Kathrine Bodine; three daughters, Charline Swetzig of Madison, Doreen Saint of Arab and DeeAnna Sivley of Danville; mother, Clara Bodine of Arab; two sisters, Marie Flemings and Mary Yancy, both of Arab; one brother, Edward Bodine of Arab; and two grandchildren.

Minnie Breeding
HARTSELLE - Minnie Lee Hartselle Breeding, 72, died Monday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Church of Christ with the Rev. Phillip Hines and Dr. Andy Dukes officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Breeding was a native of Morgan County. She was a member of Hartselle Church of Christ, a homemaker, a 1944 graduate of Morgan County High School where she was valedictorian, and a former employee of the Electric Department for the City of Decatur. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Lee Campbell.
Survivors include her husband, Theron L. Breeding of Hartselle; one son, Stephen L. Breeding of Franklin, Tenn.; one daughter, Elizabeth Gayle Thornton of Hartselle; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley in Decatur.

Elizabeth Dalman
Elizabeth Dalman, 74, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local nursing home. The memorial service will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Cotton officiating.
Survivors include one sister, Ellen Blessing of Huntsville; two brothers, Walter Turko of Huntington, W.V., and Harry Turko of San Francisco; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Valley United Methodist Church organ fund or Diabetes Foundation.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2:30 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lillie Franklin
ALBERTVILLE - Lillie Belle Walker Franklin, 84, of 1084 Henderson Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, J.L. Walker of Albertville and Larry Walker and Joe Walker, both of Boaz; two stepdaughters, Doris Howard and Edna White, both of Mountainboro; two brothers, J.D. Harris of Attalla and Buster Harris of Boaz; and 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Thomas A. Gladden
ATHENS - Thomas A. "Mutt" Gladden, 59, of N. Madison St. died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Spry Chapel with the Rev. John G. Garrison officiating.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Spry Funeral Home of Athens in charge.
Mr. Gladden was a native of Limestone County. He was an employee of Christopher Tire and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Gladden of Athens; one daughter, Diane Gladden of Athens; one son, DeWayne Gladden of Athens; and three brothers, Winston Gladden, Mason Gladden and Richard Gladden, all of Athens.

Artie E. Hallman
Artie Elizabeth Hallman, 91, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Nelson Funeral Home in Fayette will announce funeral arrangements.
Burial will be in Fayette City Cemetery.
She had lived in Huntsville one year, having spent most her life in Fayette. She was also a retired teacher.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Hallman of Huntsville and Daniel Hallman of Harvest; one daughter, Sylvia Bailey of Huntsville; one brother, James Allen McCool of Decatur; one sister, Oleta Scroggins of Bonifay, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

John F. Hogan Sr.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - John F. Hogan Sr., 80, of 205 Cooper St. died Monday. The funeral will be Friday at Sampson Funeral Home in Springfield.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Esposito of Springfield; four sons, John F. Hogan Jr. of South Dennis, Mass., Maj. Michael A. Hogan of Springfield, James G. Hogan of Edgartown, Mass., and Mark P. Hogan of East Longmeadow, Mass.; three daughters, Dr. Catherine R. Hogan-Gancarz of Madison, Geradine Hogan Schultze of Woodland Park, Colo., and Ana Marie T. Ahearn of Naples, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Hogan of Springfield; five sisters, Mary Hogan, Julie Hogan and Bernadette Mulligan, all of Springfield, Anna Ayers of Paxton, Mass., and Theresa Hogan of Torrington, Conn.; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, 1111 Elm St., West Springfield, Mass., 01089.

Obera Johnson
BOAZ - Obera Johnson, 95, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was in Lathamville Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Gayle Paschal of Dothan; one son, Adron Johnson of Albertville; two brothers, Irby Peppers and Odis Peppers, both of Boaz; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

William H. Lee
TAFT, Tenn. - William Henry Lee, 73, of Jones Road died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Trotter officiating.
Burial will be in Ready Cemetery.
Mr. Lee was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Virginia Lee of Taft; one son, Gary Edwin Lee of Sterling Heights, Mich.; one daughter, Sherry Ann Smitherman of Taft; three sisters, Vadie Jones of Hazel Green, Ruby Billions of Huntsville and Berdie Mae Rollings of Guntersville; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Johnny M. Lowrey
WINCHESTER, Va. - Johnny Mack Lowrey, 50, died Saturday at a West Virginia hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include one son, David Lowrey of Gainesville, Fla.; his mother, Lorraine Lowrey of Huntsville; one brother, Tyler Lowrey of Sandpoint, Idaho; and one sister, Peggy L. Richardson of Madison.

Ralph A. Maness
SECTION - Ralph A. Maness, 60, died Monday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at the Unity Baptist Church with Rev. M.D. Bryant and the Rev. Dan Kirkpatrick officiating.
Burial was in Old Sardis Cemetery.
Mr. Maness was a retired employee of the Caterpillar company.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Maness; two daughters, Jerolyn Wilborn of Section and Cheryl Lewis of Tupelo, Miss.; a son, Michael Maness of Section; three sisters, Adell Guffey of Rainsville, Anne Keasler of Fyffe and Betty McNeese of Tiftonia, Ga.; two brothers, Alfred Maness and Alvin Maness, both of Fyffe; and five grandchildren.

Ellie M. McElyea
NEW MARKET - Ellie Mae McElyea, 70, of Buddy Williamson Road died Monday at a Birmingham nursing home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. Benny Berry officiating.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Miss McElyea was a native of Madison County and a Baptist.
Survivors include two sisters, Frances Gibson of Cary, Ill., and Sue Boles of Chicago; one brother, Albert McElyea of New Market; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

J.A. McRae
NEW MARKET - J.A. "Junior" McRae, 87, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Don Schultz officiating.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Mr. McRae was a native of Biloxi, Miss., but spent most his life in Madison County. He was a retired farmer and business owner and was a member of New Market Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Bolen of Bartlesville, Okla., and Ann Lawler of Huntsville; one sister, Witt Mann of Decatur; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cora A. Moreland
ALBERTVILLE - Cora Adell Moreland, 51, of 10179 Pleasant Grove Road died Monday at a Birmingham hospital. A graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Lucinda Smith of Boaz; three sons, Tim Moore of Horton, Michael Moore of Colorado and William Moore of Michigan; three sisters, Gail Moody of Horton, Brenda Cowan of Guntersville and Faye Adams of Albertville; one brother, Frank Townsend of Guntersville; and seven grandchildren.

Betty K. Paseur
SCOTTSBORO - Betty Keasling Paseur, 62, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Revs. Kenneth Higgins and Roger Hobbs officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Mrs. Paseur was a retired federal employee and a member of the Center Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Paseur.
Survivors include her mother, Willie Keasling of Scottsboro; two sisters, Jean Dolberry and Joan Sumner, both of Scottsboro; and one niece and two nephews.
Visitation is today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lyndall I. Pugh
ARAB - Lyndall Irene Pugh, 66, of 95 Elgin Road died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Union Grove First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Johnelle Haynes of Arab; two sons, Charles Pugh and Leland Pugh, both of Arab; one sister, Kathryn Stone of Arab; one brother, L.C. King of Arab; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
