Michael W. Banks
MADISON - Michael Ward Banks, 36, of 195 Crutcher Drive died Sunday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Hilliard and Larry Lockett officiating.
Burial will be in Royal Cemetery in Madison with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his parents, Susie M. Banks and Nathaniel Banks, both of Madison; his grandmother, Mary Banks of Birmingham; five sisters, Bertha Schumake of Huntsville, Linda Hardin, Annette Echols and Marquita Banks, all of Madison, and Naomie Davis of Birmingham.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

James L. Brewton
James Louis Brewton, 63, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Draper Memorial Church of God in Christ with Elder Dave Draper Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy White of San Diego, Calif.; three sons, James Horton of Huntsville and James L. Brewton and Raymond Brewton, both of San Diego; four sisters, Laura Lee Kelly, Brazola Spencer and Carrie D. Clay, all of Huntsville, and Bertha L. Spencer of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Ira Brewton Jr. and Alfonzo Brewton, both of Huntsville; and 10 grandchildren.

Dianne M. Bullard
Dianne Marie Bullard, 53, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Billy Loveday officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Bullard was a Sparkman High School graduate and a lifelong Madison County resident. She had worked for Boeing Co. and was a care-giver for the elderly.
Survivors include her parents, Mildred P. Bullard and Leonard J. Bullard, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Charlene Grindberg of Huntsville and Beverly Norris of Mobile; six brothers, Donnie Bullard of Palm Springs, Calif., Milton Bullard of Ardmore, Ala., Mark Bullard of Fayetteville, Tenn., Steve Bullard and Len Bullard, both of Huntsville, and Mike Bullard of Birmingham; and 11 nieces, nine nephews and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Michael Burdine
Michael Burdine, 49, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local veterans home. The memorial service will be Monday at 6 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mitchell H. Williams officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Burdine was a native of El Paso, Texas, but lived in Huntsville since 1955. He attended the University of North Alabama in Florence, worked at Intergraph and was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his father, William M. Burdine of Huntsville; one sister, Karen B. Cotton of Huntsville; and grandmother, Maggie Burdine of Huntsville.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Terrell Christie
BOAZ - Terrell ''Terry Christie, 43, of 270 Laura Ave. died Wednesday at her home. A memorial service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Russell Christie; one daughter, Heather Christie of Boaz; one son, Andrew Christie of Boaz; and two sisters, Ann Aulyenbauch of Pennsylvania and Carole Durr of Washington.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, Hospice of Marshall County or a charity of choice.

George A. DeLoach
RINCON, Ga. - George A. DeLoach, 85, died Wednesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rincon First Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery with Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home Effingham Chapel in charge.
Mr. DeLoach was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Graham DeLoach; and one daughter, Georgia Ann Hooker.
Survivors include one son, David Graham DeLoach of Huntsville; one daughter, Emily DeLoach Sulver of Ocean Springs, Miss.; one brother, Maurice "Pete" DeLoach of Savannah, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rincon First Baptist Church building fund, 201 East 6th St., Rincon, Ga., 31326, or to The Truetlen House at New Ebeneezer Childrens Home, P.O. Box 1773, Springfield, Ga., 31329.

William Enochs
LEBANON, Tenn. - William "Luke" Enochs, 77, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Rick Stevens officiating.
Burial will be in Clay Cemetery.
Mr. Enochs was preceded in death by one son, Larry Jackson Enochs.
Survivors include two sons, William Louis Enochs Jr. of Duluth, Ga., and James Allen Enochs of Lebanon; one daughter, Linda Wojciechowski of Lebanon; two sisters, Kathleen Womack and Mary Caneer, both of Huntsville; one brother, Robert Brewer Enochs of Riverdale, Ill.; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Essie A. Frazier
Essie Almeda Frazier, 61, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Herman Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Cameron Cemetery.
Mrs. Frazier was a native of Madison County. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nelvita Pike.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Thompson and Diane Martin, both of Huntsville, and Deborah Gail Frazier of Estell Springs, Tenn.; two sons, Ray Frazier of Estell Springs and Buddy Frazier of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four sisters, Doris Lamons, Linda Deen and Sherry Deen, all of Huntsville, and Elizabeth Bentley of Hazel Green ; one brother, Milton Mullins of Huntsville; and 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Linda Hardin
MADISON - Linda Hardin, 40, of 195 Crutcher Drive died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Hilliard and Larry Lockett officiating.
Burial will be in in Royal Cemetery in Madison with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Larry McCaulley of Madison; three sons, Christopher Hardin, Jevoire Hardin and Darryl Hardin, all of Madison; her parents, Susie Banks and Nathaniel Banks, both of Madison; her grandmother, Mary Banks of Birmingham; four sisters, Bertha Schumake of Huntsville, Annette Echols and Marquita Banks, both of Madison, and Naomie Davis of Birmingham; and four grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sybil C. Hodgkin
Sybil Cox Hodgkin, 80, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 7 p.m. at West Huntsville Church of Christ with Bro. Tim Rice and L.J. Anderson officiating.
Burial will be Saturday at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville, Ga., with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hodgkin was a member of West Huntsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Pearlman of New Jersey and Barbara Cunningham of Bradenton, Fla.; two nieces, Virginia Pope of Harvest and Kay Butler of Sugarland, Texas; and three great-nephews and two great-nieces.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to AGAPE.

Betty A. Hogeland
ALBERTVILLE - Betty Ann Hogeland, 60, of 316 Lazy Creek Circle died Thursday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Nixon Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Hogeland; one daughter, Kaye Hogeland of Georgia; two sons, Mike Hogeland and Danny Smith, both of Albertville; one sister, Gina Lou Golden of Ardmore; two brothers, Billy OKeefe and G.W. OKeefe, both of Toney; and 12 grandchildren.

Richard P. Lauderdale
TANNER - Richard Paisley Lauderdale, 78, of 10951 Stewart Road died Wednesday at an Athens hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Lawrence officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
Mr. Lauderdale was a member of Berea Baptist Church and a charter member of Limestone Quail Club.
Survivors include his wife, Estelle Lauderdale of Tanner; two daughters, Betty Gatlin of Athens and Linda Duty of Birmingham; two sons, Larry Lauderdale of Florence and David Lauderdale of Athens; five brothers, Homer Lauderdale, Arnold "Piggy" Lauderdale and Donald Lauderdale, all of Athens, Howard Lauderdale of Florence and Robert Lauderdale of Elkmont; three sisters, Ruby Dorning of Birmingham and Ruth Webb and Robbie Gozia, both of Athens; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Berea Baptist Church building fund, P.O. Box 468, Athens, 35612.

Marie A. Micheau
Marie Allen Micheau, 55, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Weatherly Road Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jerry W. Sims officiating.
Burial will be in New Canaan Cemetery in Union Hill with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Micheau was a native of Morgan County and spent most her life in Madison County.
Survivors include four daughters, Tresia Dolan and Alicia Allen, both of Huntsville, Carol Dabbs of Jasper and Amanda Hillis of Hazel Green ; two sons, Walter Allen and Billy Allen, both of Huntsville; five sisters, Mamie Haga of Decatur, Barbara Hamilton of Owens Cross Roads, Sandra Robinson and Patricia LeCroy, both of Morgan City, and Nancy Williams of Sardis; one brother, Tommy Seagroves of Morgan City; and six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Milton Moorehead
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Milton Moorehead, 76, of 1723 Hamestring Road died Thursday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Malcolm Gardner and the Rev. W.D. Brewer officiating.
Burial will be in Stewarts Cemetery.
Mr. Moorehead was a native of Lincoln County, a World War II veteran and a member of the Church of Jesus. He was a groundman for TVA 24 years.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Ruth Bradford Moorehead of Fayetteville; three daughters; Betty Moorehead and Donna Gill, both of Fayetteville, and Bonnie Arnold of Flintville, Tenn.; two sons, Jerry Moorehead and Jimmy Moorehead, both of Fayetteville; one sister, Jennie Keith of Kelso, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Alberta O. Peaden
Alberta Oakley Peaden, 86, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holmes Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dalton B. Styes and Dr. R. Laurence Dill officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Peaden was a native of Greenville, N.C., and worked as an interior designer in Roxboro, N.C., before moving to Huntsville. She graduated from the New York School of Interior Design and was a longtime active member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Joy Shackelford of Huntsville; one sister, Martha Kate Danford of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Amy McBroom and Shea Shackelford, both of Washington D.C., and Patrick Shackelford of Huntsville; and one great-granddaughter and two step-great-grandsons.
Visitation will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the church or to Trinity United Methodist Eldercare Center.

J. Hugh Pendergrass
BOAZ - J. Hugh Pendergrass, 78, of 76 Maroney Road died Wednesday in Tuscaloosa. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial was to be in Whitesboro Cemetery.
Mr. Pendergrass was retired after 32 years at Goodyear.
Survivors include his wife, Maedell Pendergrass; one daughter, Joyce Jones of Boaz; two sons, Howard Pendergrass of Boaz and Larry Pendergrass of Crossville; one brother, Nolan Pendergrass of Florida; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Willie C. Pendergrass
POWELLS - Willie Clydell Pendergrass, 63, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Old Sardis Church with Bros. Oron Whitley and Loyd Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Old Sardis Cemetery with Section Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Pendergrass of Powells; one son, Gregg Pendergrass of Rainsville; one daughter, Shirlene Moore of Rainsville; one sister, Dorothy McGee of Powells; and four grandchildren.

Donnell Ragland Sr.
Donnell "Butch" Ragland Sr., 52, of 1606 Calvary St. in Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Syler Tabernacle with the Rev. Michael Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara A. Ragland of Huntsville; one son, Donell Ragland Jr. of Huntsville; six daughters, Lachon Adams Jackson, Donna West, Lesia Ragland, Tracy Ragland, Tanika Ragland and Arrie Vaughn, all of Huntsville; his mother, Fannie B. Ragland of Huntsville; four sisters, Erma Jean Ragland, Nannette Greer, Taleta Gardner and Jimmie Mae Baker, all of Huntsville; two brothers, Clarence Ragland and Richard Fletcher, both of Huntsville; and 12 grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Paul E. Renfro
GRANT - Paul Ellion Renfro, 70, of 127 Wiley Ayers Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Lynn Couch of Germantown, Tenn., and Denise Ann Sutphin of Grant; one son, Steven Paul Renfro of Fayetteville, Ark.; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Grant Baptist Church building fund.

Ronald L. Singleton
ATHENS - Ronald Lee Singleton, 53, of 15549 Mooresville Road died Thursday at an Athens hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Stephen E. Sisk
Stephen Eugene Sisk, 46, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Randy Watts officiating.
Burial will be Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Ala.
Mr. Sisk was a native of Detroit, but spent most of his life in Madison County. He had worked at Woody Anderson Ford 2 years.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Belle Hall of Huntsville; one brother, Mark Hall of Kenosha, Wis.; and two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry D. Sutton
BRIDGEPORT - Larry Dale Sutton, 54, died Wednesday at a Jackson County hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Rev. Billy Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hill Sutton of Bridgeport; two sons, Michael Sutton and Jonathon Sutton, both of Bridgeport; his mother, Sabra Sue Pendergrass of Bridgeport; one sister, Patsy Farrie of Bridgeport; one brother, Ronnie Odell of New Hope, Tenn.; and one niece and one nephew.

Paulyne L. Switzer
ATHENS - Paulyne Looney Switzer, 85, died Thursday at her home. The graveside service was to be today at noon at Roselawn Cemetery with Dr. Bob Sharmon officiating.
Spry Funeral Home in Athens is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Switzer was a native of Lauderdale County. She retired from Reynolds Aluminum. She was a graduate of Athens State College and Athens State Colleges Secondary Agriculture School. She was a member of DAR, UDC and the Presbyterian church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick E. Switzer and a daughter, Vickie Suzanne Switzer.
Survivors include one niece, Susan Looney Qualls of Athens; and two nephews, Larry W. Looney and William K. Looney, both of Athens.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Athens.

Evadean B. Taylor
RENO, Nev. - Evadean "Mom" Bernice Taylor, 86, died April 8. The memorial service will be Saturday at 7 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro with the Rev. Bill Batey officiating.
Mrs. Taylor was formerly of Scottsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin S. Taylor; and one daughter, Katherine Visik.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Taylor of Reno and Sonja Barrier of Scottsboro; three sons, Melvin Taylor and Karl "Pete" Taylor, both of Scottsboro, and Francis "Jake" Taylor of South Bend, Ind.; one brother, Elbert Rohrer of South Bend; and 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Georgia P. Uselton
Georgia Parker Uselton, 74, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Franklin officiating.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Mrs. Uselton was a native of Madison County. She worked at Lincoln Mill, retired from Humana Hospital and was a member of Five Points Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Jimmie Ruth Siegman of Meridianville and Earline Sharp and Doris Walling, both of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Connie M. Walker
NEW MARKET - Connie Mae Walker, 88, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Ralph Riddle and James Rolison officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in the Plevna community.
Mrs. Walker was a lifelong resident of the Plevna community. She was a teacher, and after she retired was a substitute teacher at New Market School until she was 87.
She attended Oakley Baptist Church and formerly attended Hickory Flat Presbyterian Church and New Market Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ira Walker, and an infant daughter.
Survivors include one son, Jerel Walker of Naples, Fla.; one daughter, Janet Walker Spruiell of Chattanooga; one sister, Zelma Pitcock Phillips of Cleland, Ga.; one brother, William Grayson Pitcock of New Market; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
