Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Mrs. Dorothy Martin Fleming:
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died on Friday, December 3, 1999 at a local hospital. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Riese Club, two Mystic Societies and a retired employee of South Central Bell after 44 years of service. Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by three brothers, John Robert "Rob" Martin, James B. "Bernie" Martin and William C. Martin; two sisters, Catherine M. Page and Margaret M. Caminas. She is survived by her husband, Turner Ferrell Fleming; one brother, Thomas P. Martin; three nephews, Robert M . "Bobby" Page, John Julius "J.J." Page, Jr. and James B. Martin, III; five nieces, Charlotte A. Caminas, Harriet C. Tucker, Peggy E. Martin, Margaret Ann Martin and Beverly "Missy" Martin and great nieces and great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday, December 6, 1999 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, December 5, 1999 from 3-6 PM. The Rosary will be said at 4:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday after 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin St., Mobile, AL.

Mrs. Anita Ayler McCants "Nita":
A native and lifelong resident of Whistler, born September 24, 1948 passed Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at a local hospital. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest AME Zion Church, a 1968 graduate of Mobile County Training School and a License Practical Nurse. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Gussie Ayler. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a devoted father, Mr. Albert Ayler of Whistler, AL; sister, Diane (Rayford) Mose of Mobile, AL; two brothers, Larry (Jarushia) Ayler of Mobile, AL and Berry Ayler of Tacoma, WA; five aunts, Olivette Mosley, Lenorthia Mosley and Ruby (Charlie) Bethel all of Whistler, Mammie Whitfield of Sacramento, CA, Mary Ayler of Harrisburg, PA; two uncles, Orange Mosley of Whistler, AL and Edward Ayler of Warrenville, OH; devoted friends, John Jackson and Louise Towner, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Christian Benevolent Funeral home, Tuesday, December 7, 1999 from 12 noon until 5 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at Pilgrim Rest AME Zion Church, 125 Greer Ave. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at which time Rev. Malone Smith, Jr., Pastor will conduct the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Whistler Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by CHRISTIAN BENEVOLENT FUNERAL HOME, 201 N Hamilton St, Mobile, AL 36603.

Olivia Anne McCurley:
Born November 13, 1999, died on December 4, 1999. She is survived by her parents, Jeff and Cathy McCurley, and surviving triplets, Alex and Emily McCurley. She is also survived by her grandparents, Randy and Janet McCurley, Joe and Sandra Green, Elmer and Vivian Schultz; five great-grandmothers, four uncles, and other relatives. Graveside services and interment will be on Monday, December 6, 1999, at 2:00 P.M. at Pine Crest Cemetery West, 1599 Snow Road. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at USA Children's and Women's Hospital. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY-BELMANY FUNERAL HOME, 6110 Grelot Road, Mobile, AL 36609.

Mrs. Marjorie "Betty" Cain Nolan:
A native of Bayou La Batre and a resident of Semmes died Friday, December 3, 1999. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, December 6, 1999 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Bayou La Batre. Interment will take place in Oddfellows Cemetery. Arrangements by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Mobile, AL.

Mr. Joseph M. Parker, Jr.:
Funeral services were held from the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, December 14, 1999 at 2:00 PM. Officiating was the Rev. Penton. Pallbearers were Jack Martin, Eric O'Dell, Eugene Parker, Charles Parker, Frances Parker, George Parker. Arrangements by PINE CREST FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama. 334-478-5227.

Mr. Frank Joseph Wanczyk:
A native of Bridgeport, PA and resident of Saraland, AL died on Sunday, December 5, 1999 in a local health care facility. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Porter Wanczyk and a son, John B. Wanczyk. He is survived by four children, Daniel Wanczyk of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Frank D. Wanczyk, Dallas, TX, Mary Jo (Hank) Hampton of Conroe, TX, Nellie C. (John) Gretta, Chickasaw, AL; three sisters, Catherine, Helen, and Francis, all of Bridgeport, PA; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, December 7, 1999 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at 10 AM. Interment will be in Indian Springs Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL.

Levi Collins Young:
A native of Atlanta, GA and a resident of Mobile for over 60 years, died at his residence on Saturday, December 4, 1999 after a brief illness. Mr. Young was a veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict, and a member of the VFW Post #49. He was an active member of the business and civic community for many years. He was the owner and operator of Young's Restaurant, Mr. Steak Restaurant, and MGM Catering. Mr. Young was a past President of the Mobile Restaurant Association and past President of the Exchange Club of Mobile. He was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church. Mr. Young was raised to Master Mason on November 14, 1950. He was a life member of the Athelstan Lodge #369 F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and York Rite College. Mr. Young was a past Potentate of the ABBA Temple Shrine where he was recently recognized for his faith as a builder who initiated the Motor Corps, Chef's Unit and Fire Brigade Unit. He was a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Mobile Court #120, and Master Artisan in Bahi' A De Mobile Teocalli #369 (OOQ). He was an active member of several mystic societies, and a member of the Bienville Club of Mobile. Mr. Young is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rosie L. Young; one daughter, Elizabeth (Donald) Meier of Mobile; two grandchildren, Cindy (Ray) Oubre of Morgan City, LA and Steven (Mary) Meier of Dallas, TX; five great grandchildren, Courtney Oubre, Steven Oubre, and Dylan Oubre, all of Morgan City, LA, Collins Meier and Elizabeth Ann Meier of Dallas, TX; one brother, Grant Young of Atlanta, GA; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. "The spirit of God dwells within him. " Visitation will be held Monday, December 6, 1999 from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 12 noon from the chapel of Radney-Belmany Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the ABBA Temple Crippled Children's Transportation Fund, c/o ABBA Temple Shrine, 7701 Hitt Rd., Mobile, AL 36695. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY-BELMANY FUNERAL HOME, 6110 Grelot Road, Mobile, AL 36609.
