Funeral for Dianna Lee Carlton Morris, 51, of Decatur was to be today at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Benny Reynolds officiating.

Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Morris died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Oct. 5, 1949, in Shelbyville, Tenn. A lifelong resident of Decatur, she was retired from Alabama Children's Rehabilitation and was a member of Decatur Baptist Church. She was mother of the late Jimmy Lee Morris.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip Morris; two daughters, Rhonda Michelle Walker and Christina Marie Morris, both of Decatur; two brothers, Bobby Carlton of Louisville, Ky., and Ronnie Dale Parker of Hollywood, Fla.; two sisters, Betty Lou McCormick and Susie Dameron, both of Tullahoma, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Byron Elmore, Jeff Dameron, Joie Dameron, Matt Morris, Jerald Weems and Tony Buckner.

David 'Dave' Odom
68, retired police officer

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for David "Dave" Odom, 68, of Hartselle will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Odom died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at his home. He was born April 16, 1932, in Lawrence County to Oscar Odom and Lexie Eargle Odom. He was a retired Hartselle police officer, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Lawrence County.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Anders Odom.

Pallbearers will be Buck Anders, Mike McCarley, Steve McCarley, Jason Anders, Jeremy Miller and Heath Miller.

Ruby Henderson Pike
78, retired store owner

ATHENS -- Funeral for Ruby Henderson Pike, 78, of Athens will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with the Rev. F.B. Martin and the Rev. Barry Dunn officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pike died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at her home. She was born May 19, 1922, in Limestone County. She owned and operated Pike Grocery with her husband for 42 years and was a member of Isom's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Pike; one daughter, Betty Jean Harper of Madison; and one grandson.

Pallbearers will be Ben Henderson, Bobby Sweetland, Mike Hargrove, Mahlon Wagnon, Jerome Wagnon and James Pike.

Mona Faye Matthews Cartee
47, homemaker

TRINITY -- Funeral for Mona Faye Matthews Cartee, 47, of Grant, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Hale and the Rev. Ted Strickland officiating.

Burial will be in Smyrna Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Ms. Cartee died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at her residence. She was born Jan. 21, 1953, in Lawrence County to James Cartee and Lula Cartee. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, James Matthews of Scottsboro and Jerome Matthews of Melbourne, Fla.; one brother, James G. Cartee of Moulton; two sisters, Shirley Early of Moulton and Nina Jolley of Shannon, Miss.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Lois Irene McGuire
72, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Lois Irene McGuire, 72, of Anderson, was to be today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Juaken Dumas officiating.

Burial was to be in New Salem Cemetery.

Mrs. McGuire died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at her home. She was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Illinois. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was the widow of Arthur Claude McGuire.

Survivors include two daughters, Claudette Bradford of Rogersville and Janette Daniels of Athens; two sisters, Frances Cole and Rosemary Stuart, both of Tuscola, Ill.; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.

David Terry Jr.

MOULTON -- Funeral for David Terry Jr., 72, of Russellville will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with the Rev. Amos Hood officiating.

Burial will be in Owens Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Terry died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at Carraway Burdick West Medical Center in Haleyville. He was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Lawrence County.

Survivors include his wife, Welsie White Terry; one son, Michael Terry of Tennessee; one daughter, Wanda Lee Terry of Tennessee; one stepdaughter, Betty Ann Hovater of Russellville; two brothers, Ray Terry and Wilmer Terry, both of Moulton; three sisters, Clovie Lowery and Ava Smith, both of Tuscumbia, and Marleen Bowen of Courtland.

Elmo Bolden
78, Alabama Pallet retiree

TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for Elmo Bolden, 78, of Town Creek will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek with the Rev. Bradley Little officiating.

Burial will be in Jones Cemetery with Thompson & Son Funeral Home of Tuscumbia directing.

Mr. Bolden died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield. He was born June 3, 1922, in Madison County to Robert Bolden and Martha Buford Bolden. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a former member of the choir. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from Alabama Pallet in Town Creek.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Bolden of Florence, Albert Bolden of Courtland and Willie E. Bolden of Town Creek; one daughter, Rosa B. Jones of Chicago; and eight grandchildren.

Theodrick Blake Byrd
Infant

HARTSELLE -- Graveside service for Theodrick Blake Byrd, 2 months, was to be today at 3 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

The infant died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 8, 2000, in Decatur, to Charles Ashley Byrd and Angeline Marie Byrd.

Survivors include his parents of Hartselle; one brother, Dylan Armand Rodriguez of Hartselle; one sister, Mia Marie Rodriguez of Hartselle; his grandparents, David and Theresa Rodriguez of Raleigh, N.C., Roy and Ann Griffin of Priceville, and William "Frankie" and Kristie Byrd of Hartselle; his great-grandparents Elton and Carolyn Cooper of Hartselle, Don and Helen Robinson of Childersburg and Hilda Medina of Trenton, N.J.

Pallbearers will be William Byrd Jr. and Adam Speegle.

Mary Magdlene Nixon Crouch

ATHENS -- Funeral for Mary Magdlene Nixon Crouch, 79, of Athens, will be today at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Warren Glass officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Crouch died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born July 31, 1921, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the widow of James Russell Crouch.

Survivors include three brothers, Lester 'Buddy' Nixon, Leslie Nixon and Mahlon Nixon, all of Athens; three sisters, Lucille Smith of Somerville, Olean Downs of Madison and Clarise McBay of Athens.

Pallbearers will be Donald Nixon, David Nixon, Jackie Nixon, Bobby Nixon, Anthony McBay, Rickey Downs, Arlon Downs and Glen Downs.

Jimmie A. Doss
83, homemaker

GARDENDALE -- Graveside service for Jimmie A. Doss, 83, of Falkville, formerly of Birmingham, was to be today at 11 a.m. at Moncrief Cemetery with the Rev. W.L. Cole officiating and Gardendale Chapel directing.

Mrs. Doss died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Feb. 3, 1917, in Jefferson County to Andrew Thomas Moore and Lela Ozella Dollar Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of World Wide Church of God. She was the widow of Harry Doss and the mother of the late Thomas Doss.

Survivors include one son, Jim Doss of Shingle Springs, Calif.; one daughter, Norma Jean Williamson of Hartselle; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Riendy Hartselle Howard
87, retired cook

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Riendy Hartselle Howard, 87, of Hartselle will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Elder officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Howard died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Morgan County to William Eugene Hartselle and Elizabeth Long Healen Hartselle, and was retired as a cook from Little Ernie's Restaurant.

Survivors include one son, Roy "Sonny" Howard of Huntsville; one daughter, Lois Howard Vest of Hartselle; five sisters, Esther Callahan of Hardin, Ky., Mamie King, Mary Sparkman and Dorothy Kirby, all of Hartselle, and Bernice England of Falkville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Colbie Lamar Jones

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. -- Colbie Lamar Jones, infant son of Dwayne L. and Sonia Jones of Brooksville, Fla., died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital in Brooksville. Funeral arrangements were handled by Turner Funeral and Cremation Center.

Survivors include his parents; and his grandparents, Wanda E. and Danny Thomas of Hatton, Dwayne Lamar Jones Sr. of Atlanta, and Mattie Faye and Jimmy Lee King of Town Creek.

Darmer McBride Jr.
75, electronics technician

Graveside service for Darmer McBride Jr., 75, of Courtland will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Courtland Cemetery with the Rev. James Long and the Rev. Sam Wallace officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. McBride died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Medical Center Shoals. He was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Lawrence County to Trannie Parker McBride and Darmer McBride. He retired from NASA in 1974 as an electronics technician.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Alexander McBride; and one sister, Charlotte M. Clark of Russellville.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Alexander, Gerry Alexander, Dale Alexander, Harry Graham, Michael Hughes and Johnnie Hall.
