Kyle Franklin Harville
69, Robbins Tire andRubber Co. retiree

MOULTON -- Funeral for Kyle Franklin Harville, 69, of Moulton will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Clyde Goodlett and Roger Loosier officiating.

Burial will be in Rutherford Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Harville died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, in Hamilton. He was born March 8, 1930, in Lawrence County. He was retired from Robbins Tire and Rubber Co.

He is survived by his wife, Racine Harville; four sons, Dewayne Harville, Carl Harville and Fairl Harville, all of Moulton, and Dairl Harville of Tuscaloosa; one daughter, Janice Steeples of Moulton; two brothers, Lyle Harville of Mount Hope and Dyle Harville of Town Creek; four sisters, Jeaner Lambert of Town Creek, Faye Hand, Dean Randolph and Daphine Hood, all of Moulton; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Hardiman, Joey Harville, Steve Hood, Shawn Harville and Devon Randolph.

Wilburn F. Hayes
76, Wolverine Tube supervisor

Funeral services for Wilburn F. Hayes, 76, of Decatur will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hayes died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 18, 1923, in Lawrence County to William Elbert Hayes and Myrtle Allred Hayes. A member of Austinville United Methodist Church, he was a retired supervisor at Wolverine Tube, where he was employed for 38 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was the widower of Irene Allen Hayes and the brother of the late Merle Hayes Fulmer.

He is survived by two sons, Mike Hayes and Tim Hayes, both of Decatur; two daughters, Debbie Hayes Griffin of Montgomery and Michele Hayes Cook of Decatur; two brothers, Jim Hayes and Ray Hayes, both of Decatur; two sisters, Mamie Lentz of Moulton and Roselle Livingston of Priceville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Members of the Decatur Model Airplane Club and the Good Fellowship Sunday school class of Austinville United Methodist Church will be honorary pallbearers.

Clifton Watt Hurst
83, city of Decatur retiree

Funeral for Clifton Watt Hurst, 83, of Decatur will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Mark Tolbert officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hurst died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at his home. He was born April 7, 1916, in Lawrence County to Robert and Annie Harrison Hurst. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. A former worker at Decatur Iron and Steel, he was retired from the city of Decatur, where he worked in the Maintenance Department.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Hurst; one son, Tim Hurst of Dandridge, Tenn.; one daughter, Gwen Pennington of Moulton; two brothers, Gunter Hurst and R.F. Hurst, both of Town Creek; three granddaughters; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Members of the Willie Pentecost Sunday school class will be pallbearers.

Sara M. LeCroy

SMYRNA, Ga. -- Funeral for Sara M. LeCroy, 88, of Tucker, Ga., will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Riverside Baptist Church in Riverside.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Southcare Memorial Chapel in Smyrna directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Additional information will be announced by the funeral home.

Roger Vallie Lepre
36, machinist operator

Funeral for Roger Vallie Lepre, 36, of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Robby Darnell and the Rev. Ray Gray officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Lepre died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at his home. He was born May 14, 1963, in Louisiana. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church and graduated from Calhoun Community College with an associate's degree in machine tool technology. He was employed at Automatic Screw Machine for 11 years and was a student at King's Southern Karate School.

He is survived by his wife, Candace Lepre; two sons, Shane Lepre and Bradley Sexton, both of Decatur; two daughters, Jessica Renee Sexton and Melinda Blevins, both of Decatur; his parents, Vallie and Juyne Lepre of Decatur; one sister, Pam Lepre of San Francisco; and his grandmother, Eva Delaughter of Winnsboro, La.

Pallbearers will be Lance Conner, Scott Hagen, Frankie Banks, Danny Woodard, T.J. Jansen and Andy Pugh.

Clarice Mosley Mangrum
59, homemaker

Funeral for Clarice Mosley Mangrum, 59, of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Doris Baker officiating.

Burial will be in Sterrs Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at the funeral home and one hour before the service at the church.

Mrs. Mangrum died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born June 10, 1940, in Decatur to Willie and Dorothy White Mosley. A homemaker, she was the widow of Y.Z. Mangrum and the sister of the late LeAndrew Mosley and the late Virginia Fay Mosley.

She is survived by four sons, Larry Mangrum, Stephon Mangrum and Emory Mangrum, all of Decatur, and Ricky Mangrum of Detroit; one daughter, Teresa Mangrum of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Frank Brown, Guy Brown, Thomas Higgins, Vector McHaley, Herman Robinson and Shonney Wynn.

Sylvia Ann Mitchell
29, project cost auditor

ATHENS -- Funeral for Sylvia Ann Mitchell, 29, of New Hope will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Benny Colvett officiating.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mitchell died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Nov. 7, 1969, in Limestone County. She was a graduate of West Limestone High School, attended Calhoun Community College and was a project cost auditor for the Alabama Department of Transportation.

She is survived by her husband, James K. Mitchell; her parents, Charles and Everne Black of Athens; one brother, Mike Black of Athens; two sisters, Judy Hamilton of Athens and Linda Hunt of Decatur; and her grandmothers, Beulah Tucker of Athens and Jessie Black of Elkmont.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Kicia Quattlebaum
14, student

Funeral for Kicia Quattlebaum, 14, of Decatur will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Lewis and the Rev. Duane Maas officiating.

Graveside service will be private with Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

Miss Quattlebaum died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at Children's Hospital in Birmingham. She was born Aug. 4, 1985, in Decatur. She planned to enter Austin High School.

She is survived by her mother, Susan Jarvis of Birmingham; one stepsister, Kaitlin Jarvis of Birmingham; and her grandparents, Joan and Hugh Jarvis of Decatur.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Sunday school.

Ivo Hall Sparkman

HUNTSVILLE -- Graveside service for Ivo Hall Sparkman, 100, widow of U.S. Sen. John Sparkman, was to be today at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville with the Rev. George W. Hayes and the Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating and Laughlin Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Sparkman died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1899, in Albertville.

She celebrated her 100th birthday at her home with family and friends, and was alert and talked to family shortly before her death. Mrs. Sparkman was an author of two books and became an accomplished artist while in her 60s. Her husband, who died in 1985, represented Alabama in Congress for 42 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Julia Sparkman Shepard of Washington, D.C.; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.

James Roberts 'Rob' Willis

Funeral for James Roberts "Rob" Willis, 55, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Roselawn Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Willis died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, in Lawrence County. He was born Aug. 2, 1944, in Meigs, Ga., to James West and Frances Willis. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and worked for 30 years at Champion International Corp.'s paper mill in Courtland.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Willis; two sons, Scott Willis of Decatur and Richard Willis of Birmingham; and one sister, Sandra Hall of Ashburn, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Brian Legg, Mike Wilson, Steve McNutt, Heath Holdbrooks, and Mark Ray.
