Funeral for Cleo W. Davis, 96, of Jonesboro, Ga., was Saturday, September 25, at 3:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Slack officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis died Thursday, September 23, 1999, at the home of her granddaughter in Jonesboro. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She was a retired school teacher who taught at schools in Morgan County during a part of her teaching career. She also was a Sunday school teacher at churches in Hartselle and Huntsville. She was a worthy matron for two terms in the Hartselle Chapter No. 39 of the Eastern Star and a member of the Helion Chapter No. 203 of the order of the Eastern Star in Huntsville.
She is survived by one grandson, Steven G. Turney of Huntsville; one granddaughter, Clara Diane Smith of Jonesboro; five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Smith, Scott Smith, Mike Smith, Steven Turney, Steve Turney and Chris Turney.

Deanna Lynn LaRocque Lowe

Funeral for Deanna Lynn LaRocque Lowe, 27, of Falkville was Tuesday, September 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel in Oneonta with the Rev. Bill Barnett officiating.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lowe died Saturday, September 25, 1999, in Morgan County. She was a native of Michigan and a 1990 graduate of Oneonta High School. She was also a graduate of Wallace State Community College and a student at Athens State University.
She is survived by her husband, J.R. Lowe of Falkville; one son, James Trawick Thomas Lowe of Falkville; her parents, Tom and Judy LaRocque of Oneonta; and one brother, Tom R. LaRocque of Oneonta.
Pallbearers were Eddie Dempsey, Eddie Pate, Johnathan Digman, Rickey Reeves, Mike Fowler, Eric Reeves, Charles Gillespie and Robbie McAlpine.

Frank Morgan

Funeral for Frank Morgan, 85, of Decatur was Tuesday, September 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with Royce Teague officiating.
Burial was in Caddo Cemetery.
Mr. Morgan died Sunday, September 26, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a retired equipment operator with the Alabama Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Gertrude Morgan of Decatur; one brother, Redding Morgan of Priceville; and one sister, Dottie Wright of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Ricky Wilbanks, Jimmy Wilbanks, Edward Wilbanks, Brian Wilbanks, Albert Vanwinkle and Josh Wilbanks.

Jean Gurganus

Funeral for Jean Gurganus, 77, of Somerville will be Thursday, September 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rob Gurganus officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Gurganus died Monday, September 27, 1999, at Falkville Healthcare Center. She was a native of Marion County and a member of Union Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Hillard Gurganus of Somerville; two sons, Roy Gurganus and Marvin (Butch) Gurganus, both of Mobile; two daughters, Margaret O'Rourke of Hollywood, Fla., and Becky Burnside of Falkville; one brother, Richard Shaddix of Eva; two sisters, Purnia Smith and Mary Moore, both of Cordova; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Jimmy Dwain Hitt

Funeral for Jimmy Dwain Hitt, 36, of Decatur was Wednesday, September 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Champion officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hitt died Sunday, September 26, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital from injuries he sustained in a diving accident. He was a native of Morgan County and a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served aboard the submarine USS Vallejo. He also was owner of A+ Computers in Nashville and the former owner of Hitt Furniture in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hitt of Sarasota, Fla.; two sons, William Justin Hitt and Jacob E. Hitt, both of Sarasota; his mother and stepfather, Ann and Stephen Reed of Lewisburg, Tenn.; four brothers, Harvey Lee Hitt of Hartselle, Jeffrey Ken Hitt of Nashville, Jackie Lee Hitt of Priceville and Anthony Scott Hitt of Murphreesboro, Tenn.; two sisters, Diann Hammon of Priceville and Melinda K. Hitt of Nashville; one stepbrother, Jeffrey Stephen Reed of Philadelphia; and two stepsisters, Vickie Marlena Reed of Red Lyon, Pa., and Lorie Seamons of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Larry Allen, Jimmy Doil Hitt, Jackie Dwain Cole, Gene Beasley, Marty Robertson and Barney Burns.

Justin Earl Steadman

Funeral services for Justin Earl Steadman, 16, of Hartselle was Monday, September 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeri Hunt officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
The teenager died Saturday, September 25, 1999, in an automobile accident on Highway 36, east of Hartselle. He was a junior at Hartselle High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julian Earl and Peggy Steadman of Moulton.
He is survived by his parents, Roderick E. and Darlene Steadman of Hartselle; one sister, Brianna Steadman of Hartselle; his grandparents, Mary and Jack McMillan of Decatur and Anthony and Kay Davis of Dothan.

Ludie Hamilton

Funeral for Ludie Hamilton, 78, of Moulton was Saturday, September 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Ray McWhorter and Bill Brazier officiating.
A graveside service was in Moulton Memory Gardens with Hoyt Nelson officiating.
Mr. Hamilton died Thursday, September 23, 1999, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur. He was a native of Lawrence County and a member of New Antioch Church of Christ. He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was the father of the late Gene Hamilton and the brother of the late J.W. Hamilton, Neal Hamilton and Bertha Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Dena Hamilton of Trinity; three stepsons, James McKelvy of Lacey's Spring, and Dwight McKelvy and Andy McKelvy, both of Hillsboro; four sisters, Rose Hampton, Vernice Handley and Virginia Washburn, all of Trinity, and Jewel Gilliam of Huntsville; four grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Danny Darnell, Alan Graham, Bailey Darnell, Greg McDaniel, Neal Darnell and Wayne Moran.

Margaret C. Crow

Funeral for Margaret C. Crow, 80, of Falkville was Monday, September 27, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Falkville with the Rev. Tony Smith officiating
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Crow died Saturday, September 25, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of First Baptist Church of Falkville and a former member of Forest Lake Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa. She was employed with Sears for many years.
She is survived by one son, Robert V. Crow of Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Anita Gayle Sanders of Hoover; one sister, Geraldine Rowe of Falkville; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Max Gray, James Lewis Gray, Bob Ramey, C.A. Blevins, Wayne Coots and Chris Blevins.
