Margaret Joanne Fleischman
December 6, 1999

Funeral for Margaret Joanne Fleischman, 70, of Huntsville will be Friday, December 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil O'Kennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Fleischmsan died Monday, December 6, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Middletown, Ohio but lived in Huntsville since 1973. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a former music director at Bicentennial Chapel RSA.
She is survived by her husband, Ret.Lt./Col. Ralph E. Fleischman; four daughters, Deborah Fleischman, Anne Thorpe and Irene Fleischman, all of Huntsville and Mary Ross of Missoula, Montana; three sons, Edmund Fleischman and James Fleischman, both of Huntsville and John Fleischman of Hartselle; two sisters, Max Bramlage of Dayton, Ohio and Deborah Law of Owasso, Mich.; three brothers, Patrick Monaghan, David Monaghan and Michael Monaghan, all of Dayton Ohio; and 10 grandchildren.

Millard Harold O'Bar
November 28, 1999
Funeral for Millard Harold O'Bar, 89, of Hartselle was Wednesday, December 1, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Hartselle with the Rev. Don Rice officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. O'Bar died Sunday, November 28, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a native of Morgan County and a lifetime member and deacon of First Christian Church in Hartselle. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Hartselle city mail carrier, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Carl O'Bar.
He is survived by his wife, Era Mae Lee O'Bar of Hartselle; and one sister, Elaine O'Bar Smith of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Kenny Dahlgreen, Buford Lawrence, and deacons of First Christian Church.

Nettie Belle Herring
November 26, 1999
Funeral for Nettie Belle Herring, 83, of Hartselle was Sunday, November 28, at 2:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jack Redfearn and Hal Daigre officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Herring died Friday, November 26, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Giles County, Tenn., and a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church. She was the mother of the late Joseph R. Duncan.
She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Herring of Hartselle; one son, Gene Herring of Hartselle; one brother, Roy C. Coker of Fountain Inn, S.C.; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Minnie Armenda McCullouch
November 23, 1999
Funeral for Minnie Armenda McCullouch, 75, of Hartselle was Saturday, November 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Caddo Congregational Church with James Anderton officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. McCullouch died Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital in Decatur. She was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Caddo Congregational Church. She was a clerk at Circle K.
She is survived by one nephew, David Lee Burns of Hartselle; and four nieces, Carol Sims of Hartselle, Martha Burroughs of Madison and Carolyn Vest and Debbie Burns, both of Moulton.
Pallbearers were members of Caddo Congregational Church.

Clarence Melvin Hormel, Sr.
November 28, 1999
A graveside service for Clarence Melvin Hormel, Sr., 60, of Hartselle was Tuesday, November 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hormel died Sunday, November 28, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Morgan Country and a foreman with Davis Construction Co.
He is survived by one son, Clarence M. (Bo) Hormel, Jr., of Eva; three daughters, Cathy Hormel Quattlebaum and Cindy Hormel Kelso, both of Hartselle, and Janice Sue Hormel of Decatur; one brother, Joseph Hormel of Hartselle; two sisters, Grace Elizabeth Hollaway and Clara Darlene Hormel, both of Hartselle; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Brooks, Jimmy Ray Self, Steve Ward, Jeff Ward, William Guy Hollaway, Jr., and Justin Cain Roper.

Calvin Oscar (Shorty) Bryant
November 22, 1999
Funeral for Calvin Oscar (Shorty) Bryant, 70, of Somerville was Wednesday, November 24, at 1:00 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Wray officiating.
Burial was in New Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Bryant died Monday, November 22, 1999, at Carraway Medical Center in Birmingham. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He was a retired construction worker and welder.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Bryant of Somerville; three sons, Steve Bryant and Terry Bryant, both of Somerville, and Lucky Bryant of Eva; one brother, Windle Bryant of Hanceville; five sisters, Louise Fowler of Cullman, Genevor Cammon of Mobile, Eloise Cammon of Eva, and Sadie Mantineo and Audrey Cottle, both of Florida; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Alvin Keith Childers
November 27, 1999
Funeral for Alvin Keith Childers, 51, of Falkville was Sunday, November 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Eva Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Robinson, Gary Driver and Billy Mosteller officiating.
Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Childers died Saturday, November 27, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a supervisor at Nova Chemicals. He is a member of Eva Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Childers of Falkville; two daughters, Sharona Denise Childers and Kristy Shalon Jones, both of Eva; his mother, Dora S. Childers of Eva; and six sisters, Bonnie Roper and Deloris Hagood, both of Decatur; Judy Arrington of Cullman, Martha Frost and Charlotte Hall, both of Eva, and Carol Sue Johnson of Huntsville.
Pallbearers were Ricky Frost, Roger Frost, Phillip Frost, Matthew Frost, Anthony Mayes and Robert Noble.
Nephews were honorary pallbearers.

O.Z. Davis
November 27, 1999
Funeral for O.Z. Davis, 85, of Vinemont was Monday, November 29, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brady McCullough officiating.
Burial was in Eva Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Saturday, November 27, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Eva United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and a World War II veteran, having served in both of U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He was a member of Eva Lions Club.
He is survived by two sons, David J. Davis of Greensboro and Glenn Davis of Anderson; two daughters, Joyce LeCroix of Athens and Susan Parker of Rogersville; one sister, Ezell Burns of Bethel, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry McDearmond, Roland Oden, Earl McClain, Harry Houston, Allen Gilliland and Allen McDearmond.
