Funeral for Curtis Arlo Sharp, 87, of Somerville was Friday, February 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Somerville Church of God.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Sharp died Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. He was a native of Morgan County, a farmer, a carpenter and a member of Somerville Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Christine Sharp of Somerville; two sons, James Allen Sharp of Moscow, Tenn. and Dewitt Aril Sharp of Somerville; three brothers, Gratin Sharp of Lynn Haven, Fla., Bedford Sharp and Joe Sharp, both of Decatur; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Coney Sharp, James King, Carlton Sharp, Steve Sharp, Greg Sharp and John Sharp.

Otto Garland Gilchrist

A graveside service for Otto Garland Gilchrist, 55, of Somerville was Monday, February 21, at New Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Rudolph Esco officiating.
Mr. Gilchrist died Saturday, February 19, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County, a veteran and a member of the American Legion and National Rifle Association.
He is survived by two sons, Otto Garland Gilchrist, Jr. of Birmingham and Robert S. Gilchrist of Deatsville; one daughter, Amy Louise Esco of Deatsville; three brothers, Joel V. Gilchrist of Mt. Juliet, Tenn; Jack W. Gilchrist, Sr. of Decatur and Louie H. Gilchrist of Hartselle; and two grandchildren.

Floyd William Vaughn

Funeral for Floyd William Vaughn, 74, of Decatur was Tuesday, February 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Penn officiating.
Burial was in Raper Cemetery.
Mr. Vaughn died Sunday, February 20, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a native of Limestone County and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was an auctioneer and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Vaughn of Decatur; two sons, Rick Vaughn and Roger Vaughn, both of Decatur; two daughters, Denise Delk of Bartow, Fla. and Shannon Hopkins of Trinity; one brother, Earl (Buddy) Vaughn of Hartselle; and five grandchildren.

Thomas E. Ray

Funeral for Thomas E. Ray, 51, of Decatur was Wednesday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Walt Schmidt officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ray died Sunday, February 20, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Pickens County and was previously employed by Dunlop Tire and Rubber Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delean Lang Ray.
He is survived by three daughters, Tammy E. Ray of Hartselle, Cindy Ray Bramlett and Julie L. Ray, both of Decatur; his mother, Althy M. Ray of Decatur; his grandmother, Emma L. Beck of Decatur; three stepsons, Kenny Lang of Hartselle, Frankie Lang of Moulton and Robbie Lang of Houston, Tex.; two stepdaughters, Vickie Lang of Hartselle and Christi Lang of Decatur; three brothers, Roy E. Ray, Odis Ray and Ricky Ray, all of Decatur; and four step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Carrington, Frankie Lang, Patrick Dildine, Eric Hill, Kenny Land and Dewayne Linderman.

Mary A. Lenox

Funeral for Mary A. Lenox, 91, of Lacey's Spring was Saturday, February 19, at 3:00 p.m. with the Revs. Melvin Brown and Don Trosper officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Lenox died Thursday, February 17, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a native of Smithville, Tenn., and a member of Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church.
She is survived by six sons, John Lenox and Richard Lenox, both of Valhermoso Springs, Elmer Lenox and Gene Lenox, both of Lacey's Spring, Billy Lenox of Huntsville and Jerry Lenox of Dexter, Mo.; three daughters, Margie Persinger of Lacey's Spring and Linda Hill and Sue Fielder, both of Somerville; and 34 grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

Emma Farmer Nunnelley
February 14, 2000
Funeral for Emma Farmer Nunnelley, 86, of Simcoe was Wednesday, February 16, at 1:00 p.m. at Simcoe Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Baker officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Moss-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Nunnelley died Monday, February 14, 2000, at Valley View Health Care Center in Madison. She was a native of Georgia and the widow of Ossie Nunnelley. She was the mother of the late Donald Nunnelley.
She is survived by one son, Rev. Morris Nunnelley of Fairview; two daughters, Maxine Harris of Scottsboro and Gail Drake of Hartselle; one sister, Lorene Moon of Simcoe; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Emmett Eubanks, Sr.
February 17, 2000
Funeral for Emmett Eubanks, Sr., 95, of West Memphis, Ark., was Sunday, February 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Eubanks died Thursday, February 17, 2000, at Beverly Health Care in West Memphis. He was a native of Alabama and retired from Scott Paper Co., in Prichard in 1970 after 20 years of service. He was a former resident of Wesley Highland Towers Retirement Home in Memphis. He was the widower of Dora Ola Cooper Eubanks and the father of the late Billy Eubanks and Emmett Eubanks, Jr.
He is survived by one daughter, Martha Ann Castleberry of West Memphis; two sisters, Lois Woodard and Ruby Brasseal, both of Decatur; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Futrell, John Ackfeld, David Spencer, Harlan Brasseal, John Brasseal and Buddy Dunlop.

Hilda Faye Wilbanks

Hilda Fay Wilbanks, 66, of Mobile died Thursday, February 17, 2000, at her residence.
Ms. Wilbanks was a native of Morgan County and a retired secretary. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois Frye, Yeltalee Roberts and Ivalee Womack.
She is survived by one daughter, Joanna Danielson of Mobile; and three sisters, Mary Bowling of Somerville, Edith Harvey of Danville and Syble McWhorter of Hartselle.

Doris Rigler Gibson

A graveside service for Doris Rigler Gibson, 78, of Shelby, N.C., was Wednesday, February 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Herring Cemetery with the Rev. Andrew Siegenthaler officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Gibson died Friday, February 18, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. She was a native of Jefferson County and a member of the Presbyterian Church of America. She was a first lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II, having served in London, England. She was a former resident of Alabama.
She is survived by her husband, Pryce Byrd Gibson of Shelby; three sons, Tom Gibson of Penn Yan, N.Y., Steve Gibson of Shelby and Bill Gibson of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Elizabeth Jennings of Hendersonville, N.C.; three brothers, Paul Rigler of Freeport, Tex., Charles Riger of Taylors, S.C. and Donald Rigler of Lake Charles, La.; four sisters, Adalaide Powell of Columbia, Miss., Frances Stewart of Suches, Ga., Helen Sousley of Donnelly, Idaho and Rebecca Holshouser of Blowing Rock, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.
