Harold Clayton
April 18, 2000
Funeral for Harold Clayton, 70, of Hartselle was Thursday, April 20, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mr. Clayton died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons, Lee Hemming of Hartselle and Daniel Hemming of Hadley, Mich.; five daughters, Dawn Hastings and Barbara Wiley, both of Hartselle, and Beverly Roberts, Kathy Roberts and Suzanne Legg, all of Lake Orion, Mich.; one sister, Pauline Childers of Aiken, S.C.; 21 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Gilbert, Paul Hastings, Chris Hemming, Phillip Kelso, Trevor Roberts and Ricky Joe Smith.

Scharlene Sanford
April 21, 2000
Funeral for Scharlene Sanford, 50, of Hartselle was Sunday, April 23, at 3:00 p.m. at Pattillo Street Church of God with the Rev. John Elliott officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, south of Danville.
Mrs. Sanford died Friday, April 21, 2000, at Helen Keller Memorial Hospital in Florence. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Pattillo Street Church of God. She was the mother of the late Charolette Sanford.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Sanford of Hartselle; her mother, Odie Lawrence of Danville; one brother, Willard Lawrence of Danville; and one sister, Margie Hensley of Danville.
Pallbearers were Wade Lawrence, Ben Lawrence, Tommy Hensley, Jr., Dwayne Suddith, Gordon Wilbanks and Jimmy Robbins.

Geneva Foote Hudgins
April 12, 2000
Funeral for Geneva Foote Hudgins, 86, of Hartselle was Friday, April 14, at 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary Miller and Wayne Vincent officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hudgins died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was a native of Tennessee and a member of Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Homer Foote and the mother of the late Howard Foote.
She is survived by three sons, Willie B. Foote of Hartselle, Richard Foote of Moulton and Jerry Foote of Decatur; seven daughters, Lillie Goad, Alenda Sims, Debbie Miller and Frances Shaneyfelt, all of Hartselle, Helen Johnson of Falkville, Faye Richards of Decatur and Peggy Harvel of Sylacauga; one brother, Leon Hardy of Michigan; three sisters, Sue Yearington, Marilyn Baker and Linda Bertog, all of Michigan; 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

Helen Jeanette Dean
April 21 , 2000
A graveside service for Helen Jeanette Dean, 73, of Hartselle was Saturday, April 22, at 3:00 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. Robert J. Dean officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Miss Dean died Friday, April 21, 2000, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Central Christian Church in Hartselle.
She is survived by her mother, Florence B. Brown Dean of Hartselle; four brothers, James W. Dean of Basom, N.Y., Robert L. Dean of Hartselle, Franklin E. Dean of Leonardtown, Md., and Roy B. Dean of Columbus, Ga.; and one sister, Margaret Dean Mayfield of Hartselle.
Nephews were pallbearers.

Ina Sue Bailey
April 23, 2000
Funeral for Ina Sue Bailey, 66, of Hartselle was Tuesday, April 25, at 12:00 noon at Oakwood Memorial Gardendale Chapel.
Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey died Sunday, April 23, 2000, at Gardendale Nursing Home. She was a native of Marshall County and the widow of Verlon Bailey.
She is survived by three sons, Hayward Bailey of Gardendale, Davey Bailey of Warrior and Lane Bailey of Birmingham; her father, Elbert Lumsden of Hartselle; two sisters, Lenora Yarbrough and Barbara Schonebaum, both of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Ronald Eugene Hood, Sr.
April 18, 2000
Funeral for Ronald Eugene Hood, Sr., 72, of Eva was Friday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Street Baptist Church in Falkville with the Rev. Clifford Barger officiating.
Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery with Priceville Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hood died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Michigan and a retired college custodian.
He is survived by one son, Ronald E. Hood, Jr., of Michigan; two daughters, Gloria Kelsey of Hartselle and Patty Pike of Eva; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Gertrude Sivley
April 20, 2000
Funeral for Gertrude Sivley, 95, of Somerville was Saturday, April 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Bellew officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Sivley died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County and a lifelong member of Center Springs United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Rudolph Sivley and Floyd Sivley, both of Somerville; two daughters, Mildred Holmes and Clara Stewart, both of Somerville; one brother, Acklin Lemmond of Somerville; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were George Harmon, Ronnie Moody, Cecil Howard Turner, Kenneth Little, Christopher Sivley and Roger Freeman.
