Funeral for Judy Mauffray, 59, of Decatur was Wednesday, June 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Slack officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Mauffray died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Morgan County and a 1958 graduate of Decatur High School. She was a production worker for General Motors.
She is survived by one son, Donald R. Mauffray of Decatur; one brother, James K. Lindsey of Danville; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brian Steele, Phil Dalton, Rex Lindsey, Hoyt Powell, Jr., Donnie Cowan and Winford Turner.

Teddy Nix
June 9, 2000

Funeral for Teddy Nix, 34, of Moulton was Monday, June 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Old Liberty Church with the Revs. Larry Crumpton and Sylvester Smith officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Nix died Friday, June 9, 2000, in Lawrence County. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by two sons, Austin Nix and Brandon Nix, both of Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Ashley Nix of Tennessee; his parents, Raymond and Syble Nix, Jr., both of Lakeland, Fla.; seven sisters, Pauline Richard, Bonnie Mitchell and Wanda Bradford, all of Town Creek, Carolyn Cottingham of Trinity, Diane Borden and Brenda Kirby, both of Moulton, and Vickie Kelley of Hartselle
Pallbearers were Jeremy Borden, Chris Nix, Randle Horton, Derek Parrish, Jason Cross, Jimmie Hood, Sonny Daniels, Anthony Peebles and Jamie Butler.

Thomas Richard Ennis
June 10, 2000

Funeral for Thomas Richard Ennis, 79, of Athens was Wednesday, June 14, at 11:00 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Jerry Knight officiating.
Burial was in Madison City Cemetery.
Mr. Ennis died Saturday, June 10, 2000 at his residence. He was a native of Limestone County and a retired heavy equipment operator for the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served in the European Theater.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas (Larry) Ennis of Decatur and Richard Shane Ennis of Athens; five daughters, Ginger Holzer and Roseanne Dodd, both of Hartselle, Patra Ennis, Kim Alred and Susan Aldridge, all of Decatur; three brothers, Red Ennis, Clyde Ennis and Dick Ennis, all of Athens; three sisters, Inez Springer, and Hazel Blizzard, both of Athens, and Helen Lowery of Madison; 13 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Richard W. Ennis, Patrick Holzer, Marc Holzer, Adam Holzer, Eric Aldridge and Joey Ennis.

Charles Ray Thompson
June 5, 2000

Charles Ray Thompson, 47, of Hartselle died Monday, June 5, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Sweetwater, Tenn., and a roofer.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Thompson of Hartselle; one daughter, Carrie Thompson of Hartselle; his mother, Delores Cooper of Houston; one brother, Jim Thompson of Decatur; one stepbrother, Dennis Burchfield of Riodale, Calif.; One half-sister, Elizabeth Wilson of Birmingham; two stepsisters, Denise Strevel of Knoxville, Tenn., and Donna Garland of Maryville, Tenn.; and one granddaughter.

Naomi Faye Brown
June 7, 2000

Funeral for Naomi Faye Brown, 75, of Moulton was Saturday, June 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland, Tex.
Burial was in Midland, Tex.
Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at University Hospital in Birmingham. She was a native of Waverly, Kan., and a member of Moulton Church of Christ. She has resided in Alabama for the past seven years and was a Bible teacher for more than 50 years. She is the mother of the late John Michael Brown.
She is survived by her husband, William Allan Brown of Moulton; one son, Dale Brown of Midland; three daughters, Linda Strickland of Houston, Tex., Reta Becker of Moulton and Margaret Blackwood of Hartselle; one brother, C.W. Oden of Cordelle, Okla.; two sisters, Fern Britton of Plainview, Tex. And Barbara Watts of Chowchilla, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

Clarence Light
June 21, 2000

Funeral for Clarence Light, 91, of Hartselle was Friday, June 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Gandy's Cove United Methodist Church with the Revs. Kenneth Graham and Jeri Hunt officiating.
Burial was in Cook Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Light died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a native of Marshall County and a retired school teacher. He was a member of Gandy's Cove United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and served as music director for more than 40 years. He also was a teacher and superintendent of Sunday school.
He was employed as a teacher in Morgan County for 39 years. During that time he served as basketball coach at Flint Junior High School for 22 years. He retired in 1973 as a teacher at Hartselle Junior High School. He was the widower of Bernice B. Light.
He is survived by one brother, J.D. Light of Falkville.
Pallbearers were Allen Gandy, Harold Gandy, Austin Hicks, Jeff Turney, Ralph Nelson, Howard Johnson, Mike Smith and Max Schrimsher.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews.

Marie Bullard McCleskey
June 23, 2000

Funeral for Marie Bullard McCleskey, 76, of Hartselle was Monday, June 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Alred officiating.
Burial was in Forrest Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. McCleskey died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. She was a former nurse's aide at Hartselle Medical Center and the mother of the late Waylon McCleskey.
She is survived by her husband, Robert F. McCleskey of Hartselle; two sons, Danny McCleskey of Hartselle and Randal McCleskey of Danville; one daughter, Nancy Tull of Nashville; one brother, Donald Bullard of Hartselle; one sister, Grace Lorance of Midwest City, Okla.; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren
Nephews were pallbearers.
