Funeral for Kenneth W. Swertfeger, 68, of Decatur will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Lewis and the Rev. Duane Maas officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Burningtree Cemetery.
Mr. Swertfeger died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. He was born June 27, 1931, in LaCrosse, Wis. He was a plant manager of Hispan Corp. and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He lived in Bountiful, Utah, for 16 years before moving to Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Swertfeger of Decatur; three sons, Jeffrey Swertfeger of Rochester, Minn., Steve Swertfeger of Bountiful, Utah, and Paul Swertfeger of Wendover, Nev.; his mother, Myrtle Mickelstad of Onalaska, Wis.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Love, Bob Butler, Bob Lawyer, Robin Hunt, Tom Boyle and Randy Eckstein.
Honorary pallbearers will be Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter No. 941 and the men of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund.

ATHENS -- Funeral for Tincy Ophelia Wood, 54, of Athens will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. James Toone officiating.

Mrs. Wood died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at her residence. She was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Limestone County, to James Herbert Pack and Betty Yarbrough Pack. She was a cook for Athens Family Restaurant and a member of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Jimmie D. Wood Sr.; two sons, Jimmie D. Wood Jr. and Hubert Lee Wood, both of Athens; one brother, Charles M. Pack of Athens; one sister, Alice Brewer Harris of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randy Brewer, Joe Toth, Ernest Knox, Dale Pack, Alvis Kelly and Wayne Martin.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Brown died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at Grandview Medical Center is Jasper, Tenn. He was born July 20, 1975, in Toledo, Ohio. He was a graduate of East Lawrence High School and attended Gadsden State College. He was employed as a security guard for Murray Guards Security Company and was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, Dennis Lee Brown Sr. of Toledo; his mother, Shirley Buford Vaughn of Trinity; his stepfather, William Vaughn Jr. of Trinity; three brothers, Brian A. Morris of Trinity, and Nathan McAlister and Maurice Robinson, both of Toledo; one sister, Tonya B. Keebler of Decatur; one stepbrother, Michael Vaughn of Decatur; three stepsisters, Monica Foster , Michelle Pickett and Lavette Johnson, all of Decatur; and two grandmothers, Elizabeth Fletcher of Belle Mina and Vera Vaughn of Decatur.
Cousins will be pallbearers.

She is survived by one son, Albert J. Poe Jr. of Athens; two daughters, Liz Van Vactor of Athens and Yvonne Stevens of Casstown, Ohio; one brother, Richard Lamb of Madisonville, Ky.; three sisters, Mary Nave of Corydon, Ky., Nora Jean Lamb of Lake City, Fla., and Francis Lamb of Henderson, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Warren died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at her residence. She was born March 27, 1923 in Morgan County to Howard and Emmaline Jolly. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist and later moved her membership to Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, where she served on the Sister Aid Society. She was retired from Decatur General Hospital. She was the mother of the late Johnathan Mark "Tiger" Warren and Leon Taylor.
She is survived by her father, Howard Jolly of Decatur; four sons, Ronnie Warren, Billy Warren and Johnny Warren, all of Decatur, and Jerry Warren of Hartselle; two daughters, Willie Mae Pointer of Moulton and Janice Ann Brown of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Mary Williams of Decatur and Rosie Rice of Huntsville; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Warren, Billy Warren, Johnny Warren, Jerry Warren, DeRon Walker and Billy Wayne Harney.

Mr. Whaley died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, in Decatur. He was born Feb. 9, 1949, in Clark County, Ohio, to Jack Francis Whaley and Edna Miller Whaley. He was owner and operator of Jack's Cleaning and Floor Service for 17 years. He served with the Priceville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Moore Whaley; one son, Jack F. Whaley of Springfield, Ohio; one stepson, Patrick Neal Terry of Decatur; one stepdaughter, Sonya Terry Lott of Decatur; three brothers, Frank Whaley of Gilbert, S.C., Robby Whaley and Richard Whaley, both of Springfield; and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Priceville Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Bramlett died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital East. He was born June 5, 1922, in Marshall County to William Ernest Bramlett and Lillie Bramlett. He was a lifelong member of Valhermoso First Christian Church, where he was a church trustee. He was a farmer and carpenter and was the widower of Merriam Marie Bramlett.
He is survived by two sons, James W. Bramlett of Valhermoso Springs and Ernest Keith Bramlett of Asheville, N.C.; one daughter, Sandra B. Sims of Valhermoso Springs; one brother, AdrainDwain Bramlett of Chicago; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
