Robert Edward “Brother” Berry Sr.

Berry, Robert Edward “Brother”, 63, a resident of Deatsville, AL, died peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., from Stoney Point Church of Christ, with Ministers Terry Claunch, James Berry, and Karl Tule officiating. Burial will follow in Stoney Point Church of Christ cemetery, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Berry, Sr.; two brothers, Gordon Berry, Jr. and John Thomas Berry; one sister, Addie Welch; one brother-in-law, John Henderson. He is survived by his beloved mother, Avis Berry; two sons, Robert E. Berry, Jr. and Thomas Ray (Shalene) Berry; four sisters, Betty (Karl) Tule, Rosie (Charles) Price, Linda Henderson, Josephine Davis; two brothers, James (Jean) Wesley Berry, Sr. and Ronald Ray Berry, Sr.; two grandchildren, Kristen and Dillon Berry; and a very special family friend Betty Seamon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Ronald Berry, Sr., Jim Fisher, J.T Brown, Jr., Edward Hunt, Gary Ralph, Chris Dennis, Billy Pipkin, Gordon Berry III. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Tatum, Jonathan Tatum, Scoobie Seamon, Ronald Berry, Jr. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Berry will lie-in-state one hour prior to his service.

Rhonda D. Thomas

Rhonda D. Thomas, 34, a resident of Georgiana, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 in a local hospital. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Charles Box and Phillip Box officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilsonville. Survivors include: husband, Jerry Thomas of Georgiana; sons, Scott Thomas, Jason Thomas and Justin Thomas, all of Greenville; parents, Ronald and Gail Cain of Wilsonville; sister, Kim White of Wilsonville; brother, Steve Cain of Snead; niece and nephews, Hillary Cain and Paul Caiin, both of Snead and Jessie White and Wade White, both of Wilsonville.

Robert Paul Gallagher Sr.

Robert Paul Gallagher Sr., a longtime resident of Montgomery, with business ties to Greenville, died on February 7, 2008. Visitation for family and friends was at Leak Memory Chapel from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008. A rosary was said immediately following the visitation. Graveside services were held Tuesday morning, Feb. 12 at Atlantic City Cemetery in Pleasantville, N.J. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent in his name to the St. Bede Family Life Center Building Fund (3870 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36109).
Mr. Gallagher was born February 16,1931 in Philadelphia, Penn., but spent the majority of his pre-adult years in the Atlantic City, N.J. area. After serving a tour of duty with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he moved to Tuscaloosa to attend the University of Alabama. He received his BS degree from the university and in 1965 moved to Montgomery with his family. Mr. Gallagher's profession steered him into real estate and home building. He was the proprietor of his own business for 20 years, doing business primarily in the great Greenville area.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Francis; his mother, Pauline Vernon Jackson; brother, John Russell, and his wife of 50 years, Barbara Grow Gallagher.
He is survived by: his five children, Linda (Jay) Peterson of Shawnee, Okla., Kim (Kathy Drew) Gallagher of Alpharetta, Ga., Jamie (Ruth) Gallagher of Prattville, John (Holly) Gallagher of Keller, Texas, Rob (Michele) Gallagher Jr. of Montevallo; grandchildren, Allie Peterson (Linda), Megan and Justin Gallagher (Jamie), Ian Gallagher (John) and Robbie, Emily and Nathan Gallagher (Rob).
The family would like to thank the staff of Hatley Health Care in Clanton for their exceptional care and support during his time there.

Johnny Lee Lawson

Johnny Lee Lawson, 72, died February 9, 2008.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at St. Francis Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville with the Rev. Robert Lewis, pastor, officiating and James Herbert Funeral Home directing.
Interment will follow at the church's cemetery.
Mr. Lawson was born on January 2, 1936 to Deacon Johnnie and Sister Leila Shanklin Lawson, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Willie James Lawson and Walter Earl Lawson; a sister, Carrie Mae Lawson and a niece, Jacqueline Howard.
He came to know Christ and joined the St. Francis Missionary Baptist Church early in life where he served as a faithful church member.
He is survived by: one caring aunt, Rosa S. hardy of Greenville; a loving brother, Robert Matthews of Birmingham; a devoted and loving brothe, Jimmy (Vonnie) Lawson of Greenville; a loving and dedicated sister, Daisy (Allen) Payne of Greenville; sister-in-law, Myra Lawson of Greenville; three nephews, Allen C. (Anita) Payne of Racine, Wis.; Ricky (Martha) Lawson of Greenville; Randy (Hattie) Lawson of Greenville; four nieces, Gloria Moorer of Greenville; Vernita Harris of Atlanta; Yolanda (Virgil) Hunter of Birmingham; Lucindy Lawson of Greenville and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John Philip Speir Jr.

John Philip Speir Jr., 47, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008. Funeral services were held Friday, February 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, with Father Fred Lindstrom officiating.
Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Speir is preceded in death by father, John Philip Speir, Sr. Mr. Speir is survived by daughter, Justine Speir of Greenville; mother, Martha Fowler Speir of Greenville; brothers, James Van Buren (Barbara) Speir, William (Tanya) Fowler Speir of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruel Caldwell

CALDWELL, Sr., Ruel Ray, (MSgt. USAF, Ret’d), 69, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2005, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Jim Horton and Reverend Glenn Graham, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Caldwell honorably served his country for 21 years with the United States Air Force and later retired from the United States Government Civil Service after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Caldwell Jackson, and one brother, James Walter Caldwell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Johnnie M. Caldwell, Prattville, AL; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ruel Ray Caldwell, Jr., and Gail Caldwell, Montgomery, AL, Thomas and Terri Caldwell, Independence, AL, Michael and Teresa Caldwell, Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Caldwell Kitchens, Springfield, IL, Vernice Caldwell Grant, Acworth, GA, Ruby May Caldwell Best, Cape Coral, FL; and one brother, Charles Woodward, Jackson, TN. Pallbearers will be the United States Air Force Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the East Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 435 Sheila Boulevard, Prattville, AL 36067. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel two hours prior to his service Monday afternoon from twelve noon until 2:00 p.m.

Teasley Bodiford

Mr. Teasley "T-Boy" Bodiford, age 89, a resident of Highland Home, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Sardis Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Greg Sexton, Bobby Blue and Carson Blue officiating.
Burial followed in Sardis Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Bodiford is preceded in death by his wife, Mirt Beasley Bodiford; two sisters, Era Mae Blue and Sarah Bodiford; and two brothers, Collie Bodiford and Billy Bodiford.
Survivors include his sister, Ella Mae Kelley of Montgomery, AL; two brothers, Dewey "Duck" Bodiford of Highland Home, and James "Abe" Bodiford of Luverne; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Danny Kelley, Nicholas Hunter, Bruce Bodiford, Perry Jordan, Bobby Owens, and Randy Beasley.

Infant Isabella Camacho

CAMACHO, Isabella Johan, precious infant daughter of Brenda and Daniel Camacho, went home to Heaven the day of her birth on Sunday, April 15, 2007. A private graveside service was held on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., in the Garden of Memories of Prattville Memory Gardens. Isabella Johan was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Felix Quinones. In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by her twin sister, Elizabeth Danielle Camacho; paternal grandparents, Luis and Priscilla Camacho; maternal grandmother, Ivette Vega and step-grandfather, Miguel Diaz; several aunts and uncles, including Frances, Ruben, Yvonne, Sonia, Emily, Luis, Samuel, Niasha, Mariza, and cousins, Emily, Niomi, and Jasmine.

Kathleen G. Rowell

Kathleen G. Rowell, 87, a resident of Homewood Assisted Living of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008, Greenville.
Chapel services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowell will lie in repose from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.
Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Dric Williford officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowell was preceded in death her husband, M. C. Rowell.
Mrs. Rowell is survived by sons, Douglas and Clio Rowell, Jr., as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
