Cecil Jackson Posey

Cecil Jackson Posey, age 64, a resident of Lapine, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Leverette officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing. A visitation was held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. February 18, 2008 at the funeral home.
Survivors include: wife, Bonnie Posey of Lapine; children, Kevin (Alisha) Posey and Gerald (Renee) Kelley, both of Lapine, and Susan (Kenny) Frazier of Honoraville, Julie Kelley of Luverne and Stacey (Keener) Kelley of Highland Home; two sisters, Mary Whiddon of Marietta, Ga., Lois Saucer of Greenville and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

FULLER, William Dan, 53, a resident of Luverne, Ala., died Sunday, February 3, 2008.

Mary Rogers Atchison

Mary Rogers Atchison, a lifelong resident of Butler County, died on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2008 from the chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with the Rev. David A. Atchison officiating and Dunklin And Daniels Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Callie Duncan Atchison; sisters, Effie A. Strickland, Natalie A. Hughes and brother, James Mack Atchison. She is survived by her son, James "Jimmy" (Georgia) C. Rogers of Greenville; daughter, Carolyn R. (Al) Middleton of Greenville; grandchildren, Melissa M. (Joel) Houghton of Wetumpka, Ben Rogers of Greenville, Susan R. (Gavin) Davis of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Wil, Leah and Sam Houghton of Wetumpka; special children, Cecil Atchison, Bill (Wanda) Atchison of Prattville, Joanne A. (Wayne) Saucer of Titus, Johnnie (Kathy) Atchison of Greenville, and the Rev. David (Angela) Atchison of Satsuma and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rogers was a charter member of East Greenville Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to one's favorite charity or to RSI Restoration: First United Methodist Church, 112 Adams Street, Greenville, AL 36037, in memory of Mrs. Rogers.

William Michael McCluskey

William Michael McCluskey, age 61, a resident of Fort Deposit, died on Thursday, January 31, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Jackson officiating and Dunklin & Daniels directing. Interment will follow at Ft. Dale Cemetery in Greenville.
Mr. McCluskey is survived by sons, Phillip T. (Stephanie) McCluskey of Ozark, Patrick M. McCluskey of Prattville; grandsons, Joshua C. McCluskey, Micah S. McCluskey and Ian D. McCluskey, all of Ozark and a number of loving and caring friends.

Madeline Crowe

CROWE, Madeline Grace, 81, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Friday, February 25, 2005, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Brother Greg Bixler officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Ollice W. Crowe, and son, Ronald Gary Crowe. She is survived by one son, Terry Crowe, Prattville, AL, and two grandchildren, Tony (Lisa) Crowe, Millbrook, AL, Michelle Lynn Crowe, Upton, KY. Active pallbearers will be Tony Crowe, Fred Bryson, Sr., Fred Bryson, Jr., Wayne Bennett, and Glenn Parden. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Davis, Mike Bulger, Scott Bryson, and Chic Bryson. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Alma Patricia Lowery

Alma Patricia Lowery, 54, a resident of Greenville passed away Monday, January 28, 2008. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. for friends and family.
Mrs. Lowery was survived by husband, Darrell Lee Lowery; daughter, Carolyn (James) Aretz of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Brandy Thagard, Elizabeth Thagard, Bud Thagard of Greenville, Amber Coshatt, Kenny Coshatt of Honoraville; great-grandson, Brian Hall of Greenville; sisters, Mary Harris of Selma, Alice (Donald) Acreman of Warner Robbins, GA, Dorothy (Bobby) Wright of Selma, AL, brother, David Norsworthy of Luverne, AL; several nieces and nephews.

Pamela Kaye M. Stewart

Pamela Kaye Mozingo Stewart, age 44, a resident of Camden, died on Saturday, February 16, 2008, while undergoing cancer treatments in the Grand Bahamas. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2008, from Camden Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Cole officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, Eldridge B. Stewart; children, Matthew E. Stewart and Valerie K. Stewart; parents, Robert and Lenora Mozingo; brothers, Robert E. (Vicki) Mozingo, Jr., R. Keith (Reyanna) Mozingo; grandmother, Eva Lou Crocker; in-laws, Bernard and Mary Stewart; brother-in-law, Mike Stewart; sister-in-law, Julia S. (Cliff) Willcutt and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Craig Gamble, Van Liddell, Philip Sims, Phil Creswell, Keven Avritt, and Ed Davis. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Camden Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory to Pilots For Christ, Monroeville, AL. (251) 575-9425.

Barbara Bell Tole Luckie

Barbara Bell Tole Luckie died on March 18, 2008 at Bethany House in Auburn after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel in Montgomery.
Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel.
Mrs. Luckie was born in Payneburn, Arkansas on March 8, 1935 to Hughie and Pearl Tole.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Tole and mother, Pearl Tole.
She is survived by her father, Hughie Tole of Winfield, Kansas; husband, Johnnie Ray Luckie; and four sons, Anthony and Valerie Luckie of Opelika, John Wayne and Mable Luckie of Montgomery, Robert Luckie of Wetumpka, and Kenneth Luckie of Auburn; grandchildren, Nickolas and Alexandra, John Ross, Lauren and Lakin; brother, Howard and Karen Tole of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jim Tole and Terry Tole of Wichita, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.
She married Johnny Ray Luckie on November 23, 1952. They traveled many years with John's military career of 28 years and retired in Montgomery until 2005 when Barbara and John relocated to Auburn. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Bethany House of Auburn.

John Alex Pitts

John Alex Pitts, died March 19, 2008 at a Georgiana hospital. Visitation was March 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Golden and the Rev. Theodore "Buddy" Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Evergreen. Pallbearers will be Son Pitts, Ronnie Pitts, Kenny Pits, Haywood Pitts, Larry Pitts, Edward Dees and Blair Coker. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Hollis, Dr. Jeffery Voreis, Dr. George Kitchens, Rob Williams, David Harvill and Steve Dunn.
Mr. Pitts was born August 28, 1923 in Conecuh County to William Thomas and Molly Berry Pitts. He was one of seven children and preceded in death by each of his siblings: Eva Dees, Leone Hall, Earline Stern, Tom E. Pitts, W.T. Pitts Jr. and Hagood Pitts. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Coker Pitts, his two daughters, Mary Cathyrn Pitts of Georgiana and Marilyn Pitts Brannon and husband Jimmy of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; two grandchildren, Melissa Ruth Brannon of Tampa and Matthew Stephen Brannon of Colorado Springs, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pitts attended Lyeffion High School in Conecuh County but at age 16 joined the CCC Camp in Monroeville for two years. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II where he served as a jump master and engineer on a C47. After the war, he had a career in forestry in Selma, owned a timber dealership and operated a sawmill. John had a love for restoring antique cars and was noted for his beautiful rose garden. He was a member of the Georgiana United Methodist Church.
