Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

William K. Dozier

THOMASVILLE - William Kenneth Dozier, who had been self-employed in the farming and timber industries, died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 79.

Dozier, a native of Alabama, resided in Thomasville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three sisters, Clarice Dozier Spinks and Maudine Dozier, both of Thomasville, and Ruth Wilkinson of Tupelo, Miss.

Graveside services are set for 2:30 p.m. today at Lower Peachtree Cemetery in Lower Peachtree, Ala.

O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville is directing.

Memorials may be made to the Lower Peachtree Cemetery Fund.

Sim C. Kinman

GROVE HILL - Sim Clinton Kinman, a retired Clarke County employee, died Wednesday in Jackson, Ala. He was 77.

Kinman, a native of Alabama, was a resident of Grove Hill. He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

A disabled veteran, Kinman had served in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Kinman; and a daughter, Gayle Kinman Benefield, both of Grove Hill; a son, Jerry Clinton Kinman of Arlington, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill. Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Magnolia Cemetery in the Hellwestern community near Grove Hill.

Julie E. Kirkham

THOMASVILLE - Julie Elizabeth Kirkham, a homemaker, died Thursday at a Mobile hospital. She was 87.

Mrs. Kirkham, a native of Nanafalia, Ala., was a resident of Thomasville, where she was a member of Thomasville Church of Christ.

She had been valedictorian of her graduating class at Sweet Water High School.

Survivors include a son, T.J. Kirkham of Thomasville; a daughter, Betty Thompson of Brenham, Texas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, where services are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Vineland, Ala.

Vurbee Agee

THOMASVILLE - Vurbee Agee, who was a cattle farmer, died Saturday in a Clarke County hospital. He was 86 and.

Agee, who resided in Thomasville, was a native of Dixons Mill in Marengo County. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his brother, Edward H. Agee of Dixons Mill.

Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. today at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

MARY H. ROGERS

FOLEY - Mary H. Rogers, a native and lifelong resident of Foley, died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 67.

She is survived by her husband Harold Rogers of Foley; four daughters, Linda Andrews of Silverhill, Anita Odom of Loxley, Cynthia Baumann of Elberta and Theresa Dennis of Loxley; two brothers, Frank Hellmich of Orange Beach and Joseph Hellmich of Orange Beach; a sister, Katherine Johns of Sulpher, La.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 8 at Bayview Funeral Home in Foley. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Elberta Alliance Church. Burial will be in Elberta Public Cemetery.

AMBER NICOLE LIZANA

ROBERTSDALE -Infant Amber Nicole Lizana was born and died Saturday, December 11, 1999.

She is survived by her mother, Theresa Lizana of Robertsdale.

Graveside services will begin at 3 p.m. in Rock Cemetery in Robertsdale. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale.

Mrs. Lema H. Dunn

Born Marshall County, Alabama on May 14, 1914, died on Friday, December 10, 1999 in a local hospital. She was a longtime resident of Mobile County and the widow of William A. Dunn. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her children, Maida J. Crabtree of Ocean Springs, MS, Janice D. Etchison of Mobile, AL, Phyllis D . Goodridge of Windsor, CT, William E. Dunn of Moraga, CA and Elwyn L. Dunn of Mobile, AL; six grandchildren, one great grandchild. Also her siblings, Wilma E. Lee of Robertsdale, Al, E. Bruce Heard of Milton, FL and George Edward Heard of Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 1999 a t 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with visitati on from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by MOBILE MEMORIAL GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL.

Agnes I. Huston

JACKSON - Agnes I. Huston, a homemaker, died Saturday at a local health care facility. She was 90.

Mrs. Huston was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Lenelle Edwards of Galloway, Ohio; a brother, Frank Boutwell of Niceville, Fla.; six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. today in Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville, with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

VERONA JEWELL HOPWOOD ADAMS

BAY MINETTE - Verona Jewell Hopwood Adams died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at North Baldwin Hospital in Bay Minette.

Mrs. Adams, 87, was a homemaker. A former resident of Guntersville, she was a native of Taft, Tenn.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Adams Hood of Gulf Shores; a brother, John Arthur Hopwood Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Onzelle Hopwood Cleveland of Southside; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Monday at Taylor Ardmore Funeral Home in Ardmore. The Rev. Larry Bottoms officiated and burial followed at Gatlin Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.
