Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Odell M. Bolton
Funeral services for Odell M. Bolton, 86, Clanton, were held on Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Bell Lane Baptist Church in Clanton, with Rev. Doug Powell and Rev. Charles Brooks officiating.
Burial followed at Bell Lane Baptist Church Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Bolton was born on Nov. 3, 1913, in Alabama, the daughter of the late George W. and Lizzie Martin. She was a homemaker. She died on July 3, 2000, at her residence.
Survivors include one son, G.C. Bolton, Clanton; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made in memory to the Bell Lane Baptist Church Building Fund.

Ida Bell Rollan
Funeral services for Ida Bell Rollan, 91, Clanton, were held on Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Arthur Davis, Rev. Pate Hughins, and Rev. J.T. Meank officiating.
Burial followed at Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Rollan was born on Dec. 15, 1908, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Lewis and Zadie Wright. She was a homemaker. She died on July 3, 2000, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.
Survivors include two daughters, Eva Cofer and Mary Staggs, both of Clanton; three sons, Vernon Rollan and Erskin Rollan, both of Birmingham, and Denson Rollan, Clanton; two brothers, Tommy Wright, Lakeland, Fla., and William Wright, Clanton; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch A. "Lee" Rollan.

Jimmie Wayne Price
Funeral services for Jimmie Wayne Price, 58 and a resident of Clanton, will be held on Friday, July 7, 2000 at 2 p.m. at West End Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
Born on July 15, 1941 in Chilton County, he was the son of the late Raymond Price and Pearl Patterson Price. A meat inspector by trade, he died on July 6, 2000 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He is survived by his wife, Mabelene C. Price of Clanton, a daughter, Shannon Walker of Clanton, and a grandson, Price Walker of Clanton.

Henry Broughton Phillips
Funeral services for Henry Broughton Phillips, 68, Clanton, will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2000, at 4 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.
Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Phillips was born on Sept. 3, 1931, in Lineville, the son of the late Joe and Mildred Phillips. He was a salesman. He died on July 6, 2000, at Elmore County Hospital in Wetumpka.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Phillips, Clanton; three sons, Aaron Lee Bee, Clanton, Bryan Bee, Tuscaloosa, and Hank Phillips, Ludale, Fla; three daughters, Tracey Lucas Roberts and Suzy Moraca, both of Birmingham, Terri Ann Moseman, Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Joseph Phillips, Florida; three sisters, Jimmie Lou Mewborne, Birmingham, Charlotte Kenny, Chicago Heights, Ill., and Sandra Gurley, Corinth, Miss.; and three grandchildren.

Alta Elizabeth Owens
Funeral services for Alta Elizabeth Owens, 78 and a resident of Clanton, were held on Tuesday, July 4, 2000 at New Cedron Baptist in Clanton, wtih Rev. Lyn Roe and Rev. Gene Hitchcock officiating. Interment followed at New Cedron Baptist Cemetery in Billingsley.
Born on Sept. 1, 1921 in Chilton County, she was the daughter of the late Loftin Dickinson and the late Pearl Dickinson. A seamstress, she died on July 2, 2000 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.
She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Owens of Clanton; a son-law, Jimmy Smith of Clanton; a daughter, Linda James of Phenix City; a son-in-law, Ron James of Phenix City; a brother, Reeves Dickinson of Birmingham; two sisters, Kathrney Owens of Clanton and Sue Steenland of New Jersey; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were her nephews.

A.D. Gore
Funeral services for A.D. Gore, 60 and a resident of Jemison, were held on Monday, July 10, 2000 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lonnie Plunkett officiating. Interment followed at Pine Hill Cemetery in Jemison.
Born on April 1, 1940 in Chilton County, he was the son of the late James Sideny Gore and the late Alice Drucilla Gore. A manufacturing supervisor, he died on July 8, 2000 at his residence in Jemison.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Gore of Jemison; a son, Albert Dean Gore of Jemison; a daughter, Leah Darlene Payton of Jemison; a brother, Preston Gore of Jemison; three sisters, Ressie Wyatt of Millbrook, Alice Bonds of Jemison and Esther Goezel of Greenlane, Pa.; a granddaughter, Paige Elizabeth Gore of Jemison; and four grandsons, James Dean Gore, Adam Drew Gore, Brandon Payton and Scott Payton, all of Jemison.

Opal Hewett
Funeral services for Opal Hewett, 83 and a resident of Birmingham, were held on Monday, July 10, 2000 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, wtih Rev. Bruce Bamron officiating. Interment followed at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
Born on March 7, 1917 in St. Clair County, she was the daughter of the late James T. Vandergrift and the late Harriett O. Vandergrift. A homemaker, she died on July 7, 2000 at Beverly East Nursing Home in Birmingham.
She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn H. Langston of Birmingham; two sons, Kennety W. Hewett of Mobile and Hubert E. Hewett Jr. of Nahunta, Ga.; a brother, Ray Vandergrift of Hartford, Ala.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
