Dale Edward Cutsforth

Dale Edward Cutsforth, 78, of Bella Vista died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Northwest Medical Center of Bentonville. He was born November 4, 1938.

He served in the US Navy. He was a Denver Broncos fan and an Arkansas Razorback fan. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas are for 25 years after moving from Boulder, Colorado. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church located in Bella Vista.

Survivors include: one son; Jami Cutsforth, of Gray, Georgia, one daughter; Catt August, of Gravette, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Bella Vista Presbyterian Church on Saturday the 2nd of September at 1 o'clock.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista or National Jewish Hospital, Denver Colorado.

Diane DeGraff

Diane DeGraff, 60, of Decatur died August 24th.

She enjoyed life and is survived by two children; Holley (Linda Palmer) McGuire and Donavon DeGraff, her companion; Gary Smith, and many grandkids, including: Tiffany, Kristina, Benjamin, Zachariah, Joseph, Amanda, Summer, James, and Jeremy.

Howard R. Berens

Howard R. Berens of Rogers, Arkansas went to be with the Lord August 14, 2017 at his home in Rogers. Howard loved his family and was well loved in return. He brought laughter to every room and always had a twinkle in his eye. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to anyone.

He was born November 10, 1938 in Spencer, Nebraska to Nick J. Berens and Jessie (Harris) Berens. He served with pride in the U.S. Navy, mostly in the West Pacific. He received an honorable discharge as an (E-5) 2nd class Petty Officer. He called it a 4-year vacation.

Howard moved to N.W. Arkansas in 1983 from Omaha, Nebraska. He commented often “what a beautiful area to live in.” Howard retired from RTW in April 2002. He served as a greeter at the Rogers First Baptist and enjoyed it immensely.

Howard loved to travel and boasted of having been to all 50 states, 9 countries in Europe, Panama, Bahamas and of course Mexico and Canada. (Can’t leave out West Pac as well)

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Jessie Berens, and his brother, William “Bill” Berens.

Survivors include his wife of almost 56 years, the love of his life Willamena (Willie) Berens, his son Scott Berens and wife Sandy of Rogers; his daughter Tricia Johnson and husband “Dub” (R.W.) Johnson of Lafayette; IN, 6 wonderful Grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his sister Ramona Berens of Bellevue, NE and sister-in-law Sandi Berens of Ellendale, ND.

Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:30 at First Baptist Rogers, 3364 West Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, Arkansas 72758. Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 in the sanctuary.

Any donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Rogers Building Fund in place of flowers.

Elizabeth Ann Wedding

Elizabeth Ann Wedding, 64, of Bella Vista passed away August 14 in her home. She was born July 2, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska to M.D. and Marcia McKenney.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Jay Wedding; and two sisters: Karen Akin and Susan McKenney.

Survivors include her mother, Marcia McKenney; sister, Kay McKenney of Kansas; brother, Steve McKenney of Minnesota; two nieces: Amy Ahmad of Bella Vista and Cathleen Musser of Alaska; two nephews: Brian McKenney (Sarah) and Nathan McKenney (Laura); and great-niece, Makayla Musser.

Elizabeth enjoyed playing cards, spending time with friends, and traveling. She was married to Jay for 16 years before he passed away, and they lived in numerous places including: New Orleans, Guam, and Los Angeles.

At Elizabeth’s request there will be no services planned, but the family requests that, when you think of her, you lift a prayer in her memory.

Dr. Earl Jacob Allen

Dr. Earl Jacob Allen, 70, of Rogers went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 11 at his residence.

He was born November 19, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the age of 13 the family relocated to Mountain Home, Arkansas where he attended 8th-12th grade, graduating in 1965. Next came college at State Teachers in Conway, AR. Earl taught school in Florida and North Little Rock, and at the time of his passing was Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at the Northwest Arkansas Community College in Rogers. Earl also pursued a career in the field of Chiropractic, graduating from Palmer in Davenport, Iowa in 1984. He had his own office in Springdale and Fayetteville, and also worked for the Morter Clinic in Rogers.

Earl was a member of the Village Players and had major roles in several plays such as: Putting on Heirs, Barbecuing Hamlet, and Guys and Dolls. Earl was also an accomplished musician, playing guitar in several different bands, and he sang. He enjoyed playing guitar with his two beloved sons, enjoyed gospel concerts, reading mystery books, and spending time with family and friends. He had an amazing way with children. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell.

Survivors include two sons: Jeremy Allen (Michelle) and Andrew Allen, both of Springdale; one granddaughter, Kyndra Allen of Springdale; one sister, Adele Allen Crawford of Rogers; one brother, Wayne D. Allen (Leah) of Mountain Home; 4 nieces: Lisa LoPresti of Whitestone, New York, Amanda Rogers of Arvada, Colorado, Melissa Davis of Boise, Idaho, and Camille Kauver of Illinois; 2 nephews: Terry Lee Seats of Lordsburg, New Mexico and Rob Martineau of Mountain Home; cousin, Barbara Shepardson of Springdale; special friends: Pastor Charles Huebner and former wife, Janice Nivens of Springdale; several great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, former students, and patients.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Dorothy Allen, long-time Mountain Home Residents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of your choice or Grace Lutheran Church of Lowell.

A graveside service will be held at Spring Creek Cemetery, 8692 East Wagon Wheel Road in Springdale, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:00am, followed by a celebration of life at Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell at 11:00am.

Fred Forester

Fred Forester, of Bella Vista died August 13th.

He served in the US Army.

Survivors: son; Troy Forester, daughters; Sandra McKinney, Teresa Gregoire, brother; Sam Forester, sisters; Becky and Pat, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be later in Texas.
