Remi Nichole Ellis

Remi Nichole Ellis, 5 months of Salem, died Jan. 25, 2007, in Salem.
She was born Aug. 8, 2006, in Batesville, the daughter of Jamie Winsett and Justin Ellis. She is survived by her parents; one brother, Landon Cooper Winsett Ellis; maternal grandmother, Tess South of Salem; paternal grandmother, Sherie Ellis of Paragould; paternal grandfather Curtis Ellis of Ash Flat; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Baldridge of Paragould; paternal great-grandparents, J.V. and Rosie Ellis of Ash Flat; her uncle, Matt Tullous of Memphis; her aunt, Jodie Ellis of Hardy; her cousin, Ashlyn Seibert of Hardy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her maternal great-grandparents, C.A. and Louise Winsett; and her paternal great-grandfather, V.L. Baldridge.
The funeral services were held Jan. 31 at the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland with burial following in the Bronaugh cemetery near Hardy. Stanley Jones officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
Pallbearers were Mitchell Seibert, Chris Sorg, Garrett Burkhart and Matt Tullous.
Honorary pallbearers were Chris Tutor, Jodie Ellis, Heath Jackson, Jesse Rogers and Bill Mixon.

Pamela (Foster) Morris
Tuesday, February 6, 2007
Pamela K. (Foster) Morris of Paragould, was born Oct. 8, 1959, at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Md., the daughter of David D. and Shirley M. Foster of Highland.
She died Jan. 29, 2007, at the Methodist Hospital in Paragould at the age of 47.
She was married for 18 years to Gregory L. Morris of Hardy.
She was a 1978 graduate of Highland High School and Ozarka College. She worked as a nurse before becoming a full time homemaker.
Survivors include: her husband, Gregory Morris; one son, Preston Morris of the home in Hardy; her parents, Dave and Shirley Foster of Highland; and one brother, David Wayne Foster of Highland; and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation a memorial service will be held at the East Side Baptist Church of Paragould.

Mary Dean Puryear

Mary Dean Puryear, 75, of Jonesboro died Jan. 29, 2007, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Little Rock she lived most of her life in Jonesboro and Cherokee Village. She was of the Methodist faith and was a retired Realtor with White Realty in Jonesboro.
Survivors include her husband, Neil Puryear; one daughter, Leigh Ann Puryear; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Elisha Puryear; one brother, Donny Dean; one granddaughter, Amber Whitaker; and one great-grandson, Rayce Whitaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Leta Dean.
Services were held Jan. 31 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Jim West officiating. A private burial service preceded the memorial service.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob Houston, Bud Langford, Karl McSwain, George Puryear, Robert Davis and David Ferguson.

Lillian K. Niles

Lillian K. Niles, 81, of Cherokee Village, was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of Edward Roy Niles and Gertrude (Borum) Niles. She died Jan. 30, 2007, at the Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a retired school teacher and taught in the Shelby County School System in Memphis for many years.
There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside services were held at the Forest Hill cemetery in Memphis, Tenn., on Feb. 7. Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland, Ark.

James L. Wilson

James L. Wilson, 61, of Cave City died Jan. 27, 2007, at his home.
He was born July 11, 1945, at Calamine, Ark., the son of James Albert and Nannie Josephine (Clem) Wilson.
He was a timber worker and a member of the Mount View Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shielda Wilson of the home; two sons, Keith Wilson of Cave City and Randall Wilson of Cord Charlotte; three brothers, Wandon Wilson, Bobby Wilson and Denver Wilson, all of Smithville; five sisters, Juanita Howard, Vera Hoggard and Donna LeMaster all of Cave City, Lanell Hoggard of Fall River, Kan. and Janice McCollum of Melbourne; six grandchildren, Christina Wilson of Jonesboro, Dustin Wilson, Shadra Wilson, Seth Wilson and Nicole Wilson all of Cord Charlotte and Brandon Wilson of Cave City, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Shelby Gene Wilson.
Funeral services were held Feb. 1 at the Mount View Missionary Baptist Church, east of Cave City, with Bro. Keith Wilson and Bro. Carroll McKinley officiating.
Burial followed in the Spots cemetery at Poughkeepsie, with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Dustin Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Seth Wilson, James Hoggard, Paul Hoggard and Tony Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Hoggard, Larry Farmer, Gary Farmer, Steve Hoggard, Wayne Hoggard and Jim Hoggard.

Gladys Hudspeth

Gladys Eillene Hudspeth, age 72, of Evening Shade, Ark., died Jan. 31, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born June 21, 1934, at Thomaston, Ga., the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph and Nannie Catherine (Gerald) Clark.
She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church at Bono.
Survivors include: her husband Harvey Hudspeth of the home; two sons, Harvey Hudspeth Jr. and wife Molly of Texas, Kenneth Hudspeth and wife Beverly of Harrison; one daughter, Nancy French and husband James of Evening Shade; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Elaine Hudspeth; and one sister, Dorthy Davis.
The funeral services were held Feb. 3 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Ludene Hudspeth officiating. Burial followed in the Evening Shade cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Heath Hudspeth, Jimmy Hudspeth, Tommy Davis, Wayne Reeves, Jimmy Copeland and Wilford McMasters.
