Dane Domerese Sr.

Dane Domerese Sr., 77, of Coal Hill died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at his home.

He was a native of the Harmony Community, son of the late Harley Clarence and Eva Elkins Domerese, auto body mechanic, founding trustee and charter member of Free Jesus Name Church at Coal Hill, and was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, Hoyt, Harley and twin, Dean Domerese; two sisters, Virgie Rannals and Euna Mae Laneer; one stepdaughter, Sheila Lenard; and one great-grandchild, Oliver Holt.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Rainwater Domerese; four sons, Edward Domerese and wife, Peggy, and David Allen Domerese and wife, Sharon, all of Coal Hill, Marty Domerese and wife, Debbie, of Emerson, and Dane Domerese Jr. of Clarksville; one sister, Jolene Wall and husband, Russell, of Branson, Mo.; two brothers, George Domerese and wife, Earla, of Clarksville and Clarence Domerese and wife, Earlene of Van Buren; two stepsons, John Strange and Danny Strange, both of Coal Hill; two stepdaughters, Cheryle Lucius and husband, Jerry, of Coal Hill and Vickie Speakman of Pine Bluff; 22 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pvt. Edward L. Domerese II, Jeremy Lucius, Jessy Tucker, Paul Speakman, Justin Patton, David Domerese, Justin Domerese, and Danny Strange.

Doris White

Doris White, 68, of London died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was a native of London, daughter of the late Truman and Beulah Mae Smith Vinson, former employee of Dillards and Hampton Inn in Clarksville, member of the East Point Baptist Church but had been attending Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church for the past several years, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Brown.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Don White; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Amanda White of London; one daughter, Donan Henrichs of London; one brother, Jim Vinson of Little Rock; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Jimmy Miller of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren, Michael Brown, Sean Brown and wife, Lisa, Danielle White and Rachael White, all of Clarksville; one great-grandson, Hunter Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kenneth Richards officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Carmel cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were Jerrell White, Roger White, Aaron Anthony, Jim Vinson, Jimmy Miller and Marty Miller.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Judy Murphy, 126 Lakeview Circle, Russellville, AR 72802.

Gladys Reaves

Gladys Marion Reaves, 83, of Russellville, sister of Joseph Doyle Mitchell of Lamar, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

A daughter of the late James William and Floy Lee Tackett Mitchell, she was a native of Russellville, retired beautician and member of Kelly Heights Baptist Church where she played the organ.

Other survivors include her husband of 65 years, James Russell Reaves; one son, William Russell Reaves of Russellville; two grandchildren, Amanda Reaves and Matthew Reaves, both of Bensenville, Ill.; and three sisters, Iva Ruth Mitchell Utley, Mary Helen Mitchell Keener and Cecilia Paulette Mitchell Meador, all of Russellville.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Shinn Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Tom Walker officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Nephews served as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, Western Arkansas Chapter, 322 N. Greenwood, Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Justin Sipple

Justin (J-Man) Sipple, 14, of Ferndale, Wash., died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010.

He was a native of Homer, Alaska, and a former resident of Johnson County.

Survivors include his mother, LeAnn Mitchell Sipple of Ferndale, Wash.; father, Paul Sipple of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Shaylee Sipple of Ferndale, Wash.; grandparents, Larry and Joanne Mitchell of Ferndale, Wash., and Ivadean Sipple of Anchorage, Alaska; great-grandmother, Gwen Dobson of Ferndale, Wash.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life was held Saturday, Jan. 23, in Ferndale, Wash., under the direction of Moles Family Funeral Homes and Crematory of Ferndale, Wash.

Rose Ann Bristow

Rose Ann Bristow, 55, of Fayetteville, mother of Jeff Bush of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was a native of Van Buren, daughter of the late Carl and Billie Dodd, former Ozark resident and business owner, and was the owner-operator of The Beauty Shop in Farmington for the past 10 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Kim Simpson of Rogers; one other son, Joe Bristow of Dardanelle; one brother, Toy Dodd of Alma; four sisters, Joy Weems of Van Buren, Wilma Phillips of Fayetteville, Barbara Carolina of Moffett, Okla., and Carol Parrish of Alma; and six grandchildren, Lauren, Anna-Claire, and Will Simpson of Rogers, Chelsey Simpson of Russellville, Tobin Bush of Clarksville, and Caleb Freeman of Dardanelle.

A celebration of life service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Viney Grove Methodist Church in Prairie Grove.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Fayetteville.

Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.

William Dean Mooney

William Dean Mooney, 83, of Hartman died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at his home.

He was a retired carpenter, member of Hartman Baptist Church, son of the late Walter and Bonnie Frost Mooney, and was preceded in death by two grandsons, Sammy Martin Jr. and Colton Chrisman; four brothers, Leonard Mooney, Marvin Mooney, Dwayne Mooney, and Roy Joe Mooney; and two sisters, Mildred Pitts and Mabel Mooney.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Mooney; one daughter, Linda Martin of Clarksville; four sons, Mike Mooney and Bobby Mooney and wife, Rhonda, all of Clarksville, Randy Mooney and wife, Debby, of Hartman, and Donny Mooney of Lamar; three sisters, Mary Lambert of Clarksville, Betty Corrigeux of Washington, and Bonnie Darlington of Guatemala; one brother, Walter Fayne Mooney of Hartman; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Hartman Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Glass officiating.

Burial will be in Lone Pine cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Mooney, Michael Don Mooney, Adam Chrisman, Matthew Snow, Walter Fayne Mooney and Jazz Johnston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Mooney, Tim Mooney, Alex McLaughlin, Ralph Spencer, and Loyd Bailey.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Reece Hudson

Reece Hudson, 94, of Clarksville died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR.

He was born July 15, 1915, at Clarksville, son of the late Oliver Lang and Viola Ford Hudson, graduate of Clarksville High School, charter member of Cherry Street Baptist Church, member of the Trailblazers Sunday School Class and had been a Baptist 80 years, past master and member of Harmony Masonic Lodge 433, and a 32nd degree Mason. In his early years of employment he delivered ice in the county, raised peaches with his family for 10 years, was a cattle farmer, raised strawberries, and loved to raise a garden. He worked at Ozark Dam, was maintenance foreman at The College of the Ozarks, a building contractor, and also worked in Iowa several years and in his later years was a perfectionist at laying ceramic tile.

A big fan of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks, he loved to travel and loved to go to the beach. He was a loving father, husband, and family man, very strong willed and independent and never wanted to be a burden to anyone. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lucille Bishop Hudson; one son, Robert Earl Hudson; and one sister, Juanita King.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Hyde and husband, David, of Russellville; one son, Jimmy Hudson and wife, Carol, of Athens, Texas; one sister, Winnie Dickerson of Clarksville; two brothers, Cecil Hudson of Clarksville and Alton Hudson of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Kelly Foster and husband, Stephen, of Midway, Lindsay Harp and husband, Cameron, of Ward, Brian Hudson and wife, Dawn, of Bullard, Texas, and Lisa Colley and husband, Paul, of Austin, Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Reece, Carter and Halle Hudson and Kate and Riley Colley.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Cherry Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Brewer and Rev. Billy Usery officiating.

Burial was in Woodland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Kent Cecil, Don Dougan, Mike Jacobs, Toby Wilson, Ted Young, and Dan Hagar.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel.
