Julie Nell Stepp

Julie Nell Stepp, 30, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in Fayetteville.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Roger Adamson and Newell and Zula Stepp.

Survivors include her parents, Adelaide Adamson of Fayetteville and Artist Stepp of Pettigrew; two sisters, Debra Conard of Cabot and Alyson Thornton of Sun Prairie, Wis.; three brothers, Danny Stepp of Conway, David Stepp of Little Rock, and Adam Brown of Fort Worth, Texas; and grandmother, Billie Adamson of Brenham, Texas.

Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at Evans cemetery on Little Mulberry Creek with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers were Haven Home friends, Lucas Williams, Randy Stevenson, Ray Easley, Ron Price, and Paul McNeese; and aunts and uncles, Newell (Tooter) and Roma Stepp, Dwight and Peggy Stepp, Roland and Judy Adamson, and Merle and Willard Denzer.

Justin Ryan Brown

Justin Ryan Brown, 25, of Russellville died Sunday, July 20, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born June 9, 1983, in Fairfax, Va., to Wayne Brown Sr. and Michelle Tanner. He was a 2002 graduate of Russellville High School, attended Arkansas Tech University at Russellville and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry (Hank) and Betty Paladino of Clarksville.

Survivors include his mother and father, Michelle and David Tanner of Russellville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Wayne and Kasey Brown of Morrilton and Richie Tanner of Newport; one sister and brother-in-law, Maegan and Billy Hampton of Russellville; one nephew, Gabriel Hampton; four nieces, Cecelia Hampton, Sophia Hampton, Paizley Brown and Madison Brown; two uncles and two aunts, Steve and Sheryl Paladino of Clarksville, Kevin Paladino of Lamar, and Kim Paladino of Woodbridge, Va.; and three cousins, Jason, Jessica and Julie Paladino of Clarksville.

A rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Center Ridge.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Center Ridge with Father Rossi, Father Yates, and Brother Tobias officiating.

Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers were Nick Hooten, Brad McEowen, Jan Harrison, Darren Lawton, Matt Graybill and Tripp Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers were Jess Burnett, Clay Anderson, Patrick Kelley, Ben Cox, Trevor Taylor, Tim Baker, and members of the West Fork Deer Hunting Club.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 323 Catholic Point Road, Center Ridge, AR 72027 or a charity of the donor's choice.

Kenneth C. Young

Kenneth Clayton Young, 87, of Clarksville died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at his home.

He was a fire captain, member of the FOE, IAFF, and BYOB, son of the late Daniel and Ruth Buckley Young, and was preceded in death by one son, Gary Austin Young.

Survivors include his wife, Jane D. Wilcox Young; one son, Wayne Allen Young of Fort Smith; one brother, Donald Robert Young of Hudson, Fla.; and one grandson, Brandon Wayne Young of Fort Smith.

The body will be cremated.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Needy Paws Animal Shelter.

Martha Ann Goza

Martha Ann Goza, 76, of Clarksville died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at her home.

She was a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church, retired teacher, widow of F. D. Goza Jr.; and was preceded in death by her parents, James Homer and Esther Wallis Davidson; one daughter, Felicia Ann Goza; and one sister, Wanda Bolen.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Wheeler and husband, Darrel, of Lamar; two sons, David Goza and wife, Rossitza, of Norman, Okla., and Gary Goza and wife, Brenda, of Clarksville; one sister, Jimmie Berry of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren, Jim Goza, Angela Spencer, Rebecca Gray, Valerie Fetters, Darren Wheeler, Mike Lawrence, Marc Lawrence, Laura Fales, and Christa Maestes; nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Malachi and Gabriel Lawrence, Elijah Fales, Charles and Kaylynn Gilmer, Hunter Maestes, Amanda Gray, and Jack Spencer; three nephews, Dennis Hedges, Stevie Hedges, and Jim Tidwell; two nieces, Melissa Henson and Melanie Draper; and three brothers-in-law, Lawrence Berry, Paul Goza and Glenville Rhodes.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Woods officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marc Lawrence, Shawn Spencer, Lance Fetters, Pat Maestes, Gary Fales, Mike Lawrence, Darren Wheeler, Shane Gray, and Jim Goza.

Memorials may be made to Cabin Creek Baptist Church.

William A. Marlow

William Alfred Marlow, 87, of Clarksville died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Little Rock.

He was a retired logger, attended Jamestown Assembly of God Church, son of the late Ulysses Grant and Ruby Kelton Marlow, and was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie May Marlow; one son, Ulysses Alfred Marlow; one granddaughter, Kelly Marie Bridges; and three brothers.

He is survived by two sons, Harold Marlow and wife, Susan, and John W. Marlow and wife, Nettie, all of Clarksville; one sister, Alice Alexander of Knoxville; six brothers, Lewis Marlow of Clarksville, Bill Marlow and Alvie Marlow, both of Holebrook, Ariz., Ed Marlow of Phoenix, Ariz., Leonard Marlow of Seattle, Wash., and Grant Marlow of Dillard, Ore.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Carter cemetery.

Active pallbearers were James Overby, Sonny Barron, Don Brewer, Billy Marlow, Johnny Marlow, and Jamie Marlow.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Mooney and Donnie Danver.

Anna Mae Skiles

Anna Mae Skiles, 74, of Clarksville died Monday, March 24, 2008, at her home.

She was a native of the Lone Pine Community, daughter of the late Marvin and Realon Houston Bean, graduate of Clarksville High School, retired Tyson employee, attended Stillwell Bible Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Vikki Skiles.

She is survived by three daughters, Pamela Main and husband, Bruce, of Palmdale, Calif., Donna Ford of Clarksville, and Melanie Skiles of Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Mark Skiles of Los Angeles, Calif., and Alan Skiles and wife, Cheryl, of Clarksville; three sisters, Wanda Mooney of Clarksville, Joy Stevens of Van Buren, and Nancy Welborne of Paron; four brothers, Lavon Bean and William Bean, both of Clarksville, Jim Bean of Benton, and Cecil Bean of Knoxville; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Lone Pine cemetery.

James C. Cowell

James C. Cowell, 69, of London died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at his home.

He was a native of Johnson County, son of the late Milton and Ruby L. Parker Cowell, commercial fisherman for many years, attended the Flat Rock Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Norma J. Cowell; and one brother, Jerry D. Cowell.

Survivors include six children, Ramona J. Chavers and husband, Charles, and Glenda K. Chavers and husband, Darrel, all of Mangum, Okla., James S. Cowell and wife, Tina, of Ozone, Katherine L. Bernholtz and husband, Jim, of Pennsylvania, Danny J. Cowell of Ozark and Anthony W. Cowell and wife, Carla, of the Flat Rock Community; one sister, Brenda Caudle and husband, Jimmy, of Kansas City, Kan.; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the Flat Rock Assembly of God Church with Rev. Thomas Chenowith officiating.

Burial was in Brock cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

Active pallbearers were Rick Parker, Edmond Parker, Brian Clinton, Harold Sowell, Steve Bocksnick, and Alfred Waldo.

Honorary pallbearers were James Shepard, James Lipps, Kyn Wilson, Keith Frost and Willis Ledford.
