Clifford H. Freeman

Clifford Harley Freeman, 91, of Clarksville died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, at his home.
He was a retired sawmill and timber employee, Baptist, son of the late John W. and Emma Jane Robinson Freeman, and was preceded in death by two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include his widow, Sarah Mae Pruitt Freeman; one daughter and son-in-law, Lenna and Nolan F. Hughes of Clarksville; one son, Olen Freeman of Clarksville; one brother, Dewey Freeman of Dayton; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gussie and Charles Marshall of Oklahoma and Darrell and Evelyn Pruitt of California; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gary Hughes, Harley Freeman, George Freeman, Everett McAlister, Jim Hughes, and Michael Page.
Honorary pallbearers were Fred Freeman and Tim Freeman.

Eria Jane Bouse

Eria Jane Bouse, 74, of Lamar died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Larken and Eria Davis Tedford, widow of Drue C. Bouse, a Baptist, and was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Earl Fetters of Lamar; two sisters, Lydia Brown of Van Buren and Bertha Bernard of Ozark; three grandchildren, Dalton Fetters and Mrs. Roy Gene (Tonya) Williams of Clarksville, and Brian Fetters of Lamar; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda Williams, Misty Williams, and Drue Fetters.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Lamar Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Vire officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Gene Williams, Brian Fetters, Kevin Caldwell, Dwight Cowell, Dalton Fetters, and Doug Tate.

Edna Duty Prock

Edna Willene Duty Prock, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.
She was born in Clarksville to Wylie and Hallie Duty and was a graduate of Clarksville High School.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Prock; one daughter, Jan Beth Domres of Owasso, Okla.; two sons, Carl Prock of Owasso, Okla., and Jimmie Lee Prock of Bridgeport, Texas; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 5, at the Central Baptist Church in Owasso, Okla.
The body was cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ninde Funeral Directors of Tulsa, Okla.

Gary Wayne Young

Gary Wayne Young, 48, of Van Buren, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, in Fort Smith.
He was a farmer and member of Landmark Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include his widow, Rita Young; one daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Reg Johnson of Clarksville; one son, Brad Young of Clarksville; mother, Nola Dean Young of Clarksville; one brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Karen Young of Clarksville; and three grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Chance Young, and Denver Young.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren.
Burial was in Gracelawn cemetery at Van Buren.
Active pallbearers were David Bramlett, Dwain Peters, Randy Elder, Greg Hiatt, Greg England and Rick Nordin.
Honorary pallbearers were Matt Rinke, Roger Stratton, Mike Wright, Rick Holman, Ronnie Mefford, Larry Wiley, Bart English, Bob Stratton and Bill Young.

Juanita R. Zeiler

Juanita R. (Rosie) Zeiler, 73, of Clarksville died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Free Jesus Name Church of Coal Hill, daughter of the late John and Kathleen Riley Hicks, and was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Zeiler; and one sister, Hazel Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Byrones H. (Blue) Zeiler; one daughter, Jo Ann Riddell of Clarksville; five sons and daughters-in-law, John Hoyt and Kathy Zeiler of Swartz Creek, Mich., James Lee and Glenda Zeiler, Eugene Zeiler and Jerry A. and Nancy Zeiler, all of Clarksville, David and Tinker Zeiler of Coal Hill, and Shirley Zeiler Felkins of Clarksville; three sisters, Jeneva (Dee) Kimberling, Katherine Thomas and Gloria Jean Kimbriel, all of Paris; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Oakland Street Church with Rev. Amos Pledger, Rev. Clayton Rylee, and Rev. Carl Sory officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery at Paris under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Domerese, Jimmy Sisk, Ed Kimbriel, Larry Domerese, James Harp, and Toy Vaughn.

Marjourie M. Allen

Marjourie M. Allen, 79, of Ozark died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at Ozark Nursing Home.
She was a daughter of the late Norman Jake and Effie May Johnson Pyron, former office employee, and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Carrol D. (Jack) Allen; one brother, Wayne Pyron of Clarksville; one nephew, Barry Pyron of Hunt; and two great-nephews, Gregory and Jason Pyron, both of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt.
Active pallbearers were Vernon Jones, Mike Jacobs, Odys Hardcastle, Abe Laster Jr., Barry Pyron, Gary Jacobs and Johnny Little.
Honorary pallbearer was Howard Clinton.

Murvel Hays

Murvel Hays, 92, of Clarksville died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Martha Shelton Smith, widow of Clyde Hays, member of the Hays Chapel Methodist Church and Clarksville Chapter No. 172 Order of the Eastern Star, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Clydette Terry.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Carrie Qualls of Clarksville and Selma Netzley of Fresno, Calif.; four grandchildren, June Geulizza of San Antonio, Texas, Shelly Coleman of Firestone, Colo., Celia Garcia of La Junta, Colo., and Ryan Terry of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Hays Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Clemmons officiating.
Burial will be in West Mount Zion cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
