Rosella B. Hanna

Rosella Brown Hanna, 68, of Pueblo, Colo., sister of Sue Van Riper of Hartman, died Dec. 26, 2002, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Frank Leslie and Willie Henderson Brown, widow of Arthur N. Hanna, a cook, and was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Carter; and four brothers, Junior Brown, Omer Brown, Tom Brown, and Jerald Brown.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Maxwell of Tulsa, Okla., and Rose Ellen Taylor of Vera, Okla.; two sons, Brent Hanna and Bernie Hanna, both of Pueblo, Colo.; two stepsons, Cyril Hanna and James Robert Hanna, both of Collinsville, Okla.; two other sisters, Beatrice Higdon of Pryor, Okla., and Pat Vest of Claremore, Okla.; ten grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Gary Blair officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Taylor, Brian Taylor, Gene Taylor, Cody Taylor, Robert Higdon and Billy Ray Ford.

Roy J. Hughes

Roy J. Hughes, 79, of Lamar died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at his home.
He was retired from the U. S. Army, son of the late Richard Clinton and Kalma May Borham Hughes, and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his widow, Nettie Fay Williams Hughes; one daughter, Linda Sue Sabo of South Carolina; two sons, Billy Ray Hughes of Lamar and James Dale Hughes of Illinois; one sister, Polly Mouser of Illinois; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Leo Villines officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Terry Hughes, Gene Williams, J. L. Holman, Bryan Fetters, Christopher Hughes, and Bob Gilmer.
Honorary pallbearer was Bob Tildon.

Sandra Kay Flisher

Sandra Kay Flisher, 58, of Hartman died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at her home.
She was a native of Des Moines, Iowa.
Survivors are her husband, Eugene Flisher; two daughters, Lesa Lathrop of Springdale and Monica Dovel of Des Moines, Iowa; one son, Robert Flisher of Des Moines, Iowa; parents, Robert and Alvina Hokanson of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Alan Hokanson and Danny Hokanson, both of Des Moines, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
A family memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Hardwicke Funeral Home. The body was cremated.

Alice Ragon

Alice Ragon of Las Vegas, Nevada, died June 13, 2006. She was 87 years old. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 3, 1919. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Don "Ike" Ragon, her mother, Irene Gray Steele, her father, J. W. Williams, and brother, Charles E. Williams of Carmi, Illinois.
Alice was a beautiful, vivacious, classy woman and loved by all who knew her. She was blessed with a wonderful marriage to Don Ragon, who had his own orchestra. Better known as Alice Rae, she sang with his orchestra because he wanted her with him. They were on the road together for 25 years at various hotels across the United States, including a length stay in Las Vegas in the 1950s. Don was the Director of Music for cruise ship lines sailing out of Miami and they enjoyed entertaining on the ships for seven years. They also appeared at the first large casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
In 1996, Alice left Miami and returned to Las Vegas where she had a number of friends. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Inez Williams, and many cousins and friends in Illinois, Arkansas, Florida, and Las Vegas.
A graveside service will be held at noon Thursday, June 29, at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville with Rev. Larry Purvis officiating. Local Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Julia N. Rogers

Julia Nathalie Rogers, 89, of Clarksville died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a former resident of Cabot, daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth Russell Rowlett, widow of Ova Leon Rogers, retired sales/manager for dress/clothing shop, and a Methodist.
She is survived by three daughters, Melody Reasoner and husband, Jim, and Debbie Rogers, all of Clarksville, and Linda Rogers of Carefree, Ariz.; two sons, Mike Achten and wife, Brenda, of Cabot and Charles Rogers and wife, Sandra, of Charlotte, N. C.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 26, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Forrester-Davis Development Center Endowment, c/o Johnson County Community Foundation, 1010 West Main Street, Suite 1, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Nancy E. Collie

Nancy E. Collie, 67, of Clarksville died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Fort Smith.
She was a native of Abbottsford, Mich., member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Clarksville where she served as a missionary for many years, and a graduate of Central High School in Springdale.
Survivors include her husband, Don Collie; three daughters, Eva Spurgin and Margie Collie, both of Clarksville, and Donna Hatcher of West Memphis; one sister, Helen Shellburn of Bernalillo, N. M.; two brothers, Robert W. Norman of Springfield, Mo., and Earl Norman of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Clarksville under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
The body was cremated.

Ruby Neil Roberts

Ruby Neil Roberts, 89, of Clarksville died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at Duluth, Minn.
She was a daughter of the late David Alex Whaley and Veronia Glass, widow of Robert (Earl) Roberts Sr., member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by one son, Robert (Bob) Earl Roberts Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Lorabeth Glass of Alta Loma, Calif., Suzanne Fish and husband, David, of Duluth, Minn., and Dawn Stewart of Clarksville; five sons, George Roberts Sr. of Mexico, David Roberts and wife, Beverley, and Ronald Roberts, all of Las Vegas, Nev., George Roberts Jr. of Clarksville, and Donald Roberts of Duluth, Minn.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Clarksville Church of Christ with John Ballard officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Windell Beverage Sr.

Windell O. Beverage Sr., 72, of Pottsville, whose son, Windell Beverage Jr. and wife, Cheya, reside in Clarksville, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
He was a native of Carnegie, Okla., son of the late William and Martha Jane Summers Beverage, former resident of Springdale, retired as a service technician for Sears after 33 years, member of the Pottsville Assembly of God Church, veteran of the U. S. Army, and was preceded in death by one brother, Leo Beverage.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Beverage; three other sons, David Lee Fowler and wife, Verna, of Bartlesville, Okla., Robert Lee Fowler Jr. and wife, Chrystal, of Atkins, and Carl Fowler of Little Rock; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sullins of Cave City; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Pottsville Assembly of God Church with Rev. David Owens and Rev. Larry Horn officiating.
Burial was in Pisgah cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Active pallbearers were Allen Davis, Freddie Davis, Cody Roberts, Jared Roberts, Allen Brewer, and Mitch Cook.
Honorary pallbearers were G. C. Tucker, Rev. Eldon King, Scott Findley, Larry Shingleur, Jerry Jay, Scott Filloon and the nursing staff at Arkansas Heart Hospital.
Memorials may be made to the Pottsville Assembly of God Church, Kids Royal Camp, P. O. Box 118, Pottsville, AR 72858.
