John W. Parrish

John Wilburn Parrish, 84, of Monette died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at his home.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church, native of Guy, former resident of Clarksville, and a retired custodian from Colson Caster Corp.
Survivors include his widow, Pauline Parrish; one daughter, Betty Smithee of Clarksville; two sons, Junior Parrish of Clarksville and Johnny Parrish of Monette; one stepdaughter, Debbie Porter of Monette; two stepsons, Danny White and Jimmy White, both of Monette; two sisters, Clara Hall of Monette and Evelene Akes of Marmaduke; one brother, Firest Parrish of Mountain Home; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Phelps, Rev. Captain Lovell, and Rev. Jerry Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Monette cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Active pallbearers will be Connie Cason, Bill Davenport, Franklin Smithee, Leroy Smithee, Robert Chambers, and Boyd Davidson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Blankenship, Bob Hurst, Boots Pitts, Bob Miller, Bert Barlow, O. L. Robertson, Bill Marshall, Doyle Blassingame, and Kenneth Richardson.
Memorials may be made to Monette First Baptist Church Life Center, P. O. Box 384, Monette, AR 72447-0384 or St. Bernard's Hospice, 2312 Forrest Home Road, Jonesboro, AR 72401.

Josephine Sefcik

Josephine Sefcik, 91, of Bakersfield, Calif., died Nov. 9, 2001.
She was a resident of Rosewood Retirement Community, former resident of Clarksville, daughter of the late Joe B. and Kate Clark King, widow of John N. Sefcik, and was preceded in death by one brother, Joe B. King Jr.; and two nephews, Joe B. King III and William M. Hardwicke III.
She is survived by two sisters, Anna Katherine Tressider and Minnazelle Danley of Bakersfield, Calif.; two nieces, Diane Sandidge of Bakersfield, Calif., and Sharon King Bosworth; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 12, in the Rosewood Retirement Community Activity Building.
The body was cremated and the cremains will be returned to Clarksville for burial at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Rosewood Retirement Community Bus Fund.

Jimmy Walton

Jimmy (Pee Wee) Walton, 65, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Burrow and Ruby Hughes Walton, member of First Baptist Church and Coal Hill Riding Club and Quadrille, former member of Rural Fire District No. 8, former employee of Peden Foundry and Machine Shop and River Valley By Products, and served nine years in the 153rd Company E National Guard Unit at Clarksville.
Survivors include his widow, Shirley Morrow Walton; two sons, Kyle Walton of Clarksville and Kevin Walton of Fort Smith; one sister, Anna Stumbaugh of Little Rock; one brother, Henry Walton of Clarksville; one sister-in-law, Mrs. R. P. (Edith) Walton of Clarksville; and four grandchildren, Aaron Walton and Preston Walton, both of Fort Smith, and Jordan Walton and Dustin Walton, both of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Cherry Street First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Brown and Rev. Vernon Long officiating.
Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Dale Meek, Donald Meek, Bob Hurley, Don Dougan, Herman Houston, and Ben F. Hardgrave.
Honorary pallbearers were Glen Drum, Snapper Houston, Wilburn Hendrix, Larry Huff, Walter Rinke, Alan Brandon, Jimmy Morris, and Dorlon Snow.

Lewis Edward Boen

Lewis Edward Boen, 80, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a millwright, machinist, inventor of the band saw and numerous other machinery, retired employee of Joe Mills Lumber Company, Nulyne and Boen Brothers Machine Shop, affiliated with the Assembly of God Church, son of the late Oliver A. and Matilda Stone Boen, and was preceded in death by his wife, Ernice Lister Boen; and one brother, Herman Lee Boen.
He is survived by one niece, Berneal Boen of Clarksville; two nephews, Bobby Boen and Doyle Boen, both of Hagarville; one sister-in-law, Bernice Boen of Hagarville, several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a friend, Mary Garrison of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in the Rosetta cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Donald Ragsdale, Darren Masterson, Dennis Ragsdale, Calvin Warren, Doyle Boen, and Gary Ragsdale.
Honorary pallbearer was Bobby Boen.

Pearl B. Blaylock

Pearl B. Blaylock, 85, of Hunt died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Robert and Meddie Cowan Mooney, widow of Hithia Blaylock, affiliated with the Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Brian Evans.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Eurena and L. D. Holland of Hartman, Madeline and James Morris of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mereta Evans of Hartman; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Sally Ladd officiating. Burial was in Oark cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Terry Evans, Mike Morris, Ryan Maxwell, Ronnie Evans, Dennis Morris, and Kevin Sparks.
Honorary pallbearers were James Morris, Owen Marler, Palmer Davis, Wayne Turner, Everett Turner, Bruce Foster, Clark James, L. D. Holland, and Lonzo Mefford.

Phillip S. Koch

Phillip Stephen Koch, 37, of Morrison Bluff died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, in Paris.
He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Morrison Bluff.
Survivors are his widow, Gloria Koch; two sons, Stephen Koch and Mason Koch, both of the home; parents, Edward and Mirian Koch of Prairie View; five sisters, Joan Courtney of Colcorde, Okla., Chris Fritsche of Scranton, Susan Spicer of Subiaco, Cindy Reames of Paris, and Sally Davis of New Blaine; and five brothers, Jim Koch of San Diego, Calif., Greg Koch of Prairie View, Jeff Koch of Paris, David Koch of Lafayette, La., and Scott Koch of New Blaine.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with burial at St. Peter and Paul Catholic cemetery in Morrison Bluff. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
Active pallbearers were Bill Beshoner, Don Fritsche, Larry Spicer, Paul Reames, Gene Davis, Greg Oldham, Jim Tencleve, and Bob Siebenmorgan.
Honorary pallbearers were Lyndell Rogers, Robert Geels, Jerome Geels, Phillip Willhite, John Ross, Craig Layes, Mark Schluterman, Dennis Siebenmorgan, Allen Siebenmorgan, Randy Siebenmorgan, Kevin Siebenmorgan, Mark Siebenmorgan, and David Spicer.

Peggy Ann Stepp

Peggy Ann Stepp, 42, of Hunt died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, from injuries sustained in a tornado.
She was a Baptist, employee of Tyson Foods, daughter of the late Thomas Cummins, and was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Dale Stepp; and two brothers, Ervin Lee and Clarence Steven Cummins.
Survivors are her husband, Douglas Stepp; two daughters, Rosalie Johnson of Clarksville and Jean Campbell of Altus; two sons, Dennis Stepp of Clarksville and Ray Stepp of Hunt; mother, Rosie E. Criss Cummins of Ozone; four sisters, Ruby Morgan of Coal Hill, Edna Bean of Ozone, and Darlene Stepp and Barbara Hogue, both of Clarksville; three brothers, Junior Thomas Cummins, Paul Ray Cummins and James Charlie Cummins, all of Ozone; and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Burial will be in Oark cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Cummins, Casey Cummins, Chris May, Eugene Hill, Allan Hill, and David Stepp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Bean, J. L. Hogue, James Daren Melson, Gary Lee Melson, and Andy Paul Cummins.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
